Definitely not worth thousands $$$, which is what they sell for. After 5 months my skin is at best barely better. Hard to tell. It's been dry the entire time I've used the products. I bought a red and blue light therapy wand along with some skincare products back in November and my face and neck looked way better and much improved after one month. I also received 12 free facials (one for every month) and now I have had 5. Abbi is the facialist and does a great job! She is very sweet and it's very relaxing. Just last week I received another 12 free facials for another year after I finish with the first, a deep discount on products, and free refills on everything I bought so far. So I already don't like salespeople, but goodness, is your job really to insult people as you're *trying to get them to buy your product??* The Deerbrook location doesn't has Yelp, but apparently this is a company-wide thing. I initially ignored the lady when I first got to the mall--two of them were standing at the door giving samples and trying to get people in. But on my way out, I went ahead and responded. She, a Black lady with dreads and a Caribbean accent, did her usual small-talk and elevator pitch, and gave me a sample of their lotion. She brought me in to one of their booths, and asked about my skincare regimen--a fairly simple one because my face rejects everything. To start, she told me I have blackheads (I have moles; hard to confuse the two). But I continued to keep an open mind. She applied some sort of cleanser, then followed it up with an exfoliator; she asked if I exfoliate, and I pretty much had to explain what serum, probiotic soap and an exfoliator brush was... She then took a cotton ball to remove the mixture, which then beaded up similar to what hand sanitizer sometimes does. There was some light dirt it picked up, as it was a deep cleansing kit, and I was somewhat compelled to buy. Then out of the blue--me already asking for her to speak up as the music was loud and I'm somewhat hard of hearing--she asked if I took a bath that morning! I most definitely did, and she legit rolled her eyes around towards that gel-soaked cotton swab. Bold move. And a stupid one. She the said it was $100 for some highly fragrant kit that would have MUTILATED my face (she insisted it wouldn't), then tried to haggle me all the way down to $50. Instead of the New Orleans coming out of me--flipping over the chair and walking out--I gently kept declining...and left. So: sketchy store(s), highly fragrant and possibly overpriced products, and demonstrably bold staff who jokingly/not jokingly insult customers as a means of convincing them to buy. While his gift-giving heart was in the proper place, this woman preyed on his naivety and my credit card, even going as far as giving him her personal cell phone number (HIGHLY inappropriate!) and asking about his relationship status and whether or not he was single. Needless to say, I contacted the store after Christmas regarding a return and was informed rather rudely, that they only have a 14-day exchange policy, which has already passed, and absolutely no refunds. All the product is marked up so they can give extreme discounts making the buyer feel like they are getting a deal of a life time. What they are really doing is over charging for a product that can never be returned. Yes they hard sell at the door. That is their job. I have been a nurse for 36 years, mostly spent in the emergency room and now corrections. I know when I am being handed a line of bullshit.I have struggled with skincare for years and the money I have spent in the past...I don't want to think about it! This is a medical spa. This a face lift without the dangers of anesthia and an awful recovery period. Is it expensive up front? Yes. Does it take commitment on your part? Yes. If you have reached a point where you have stopped looking at yourself in the mirror, don't want to have your picture taken, and think you look like a bulldog, then sit in the chair and listen to them. They are actually very educated and do know what they are talking about! They even texted me instructions! I am already seeing results and I am just starting this journey. Excessively aggressive and deceptive sales tactics used. They will try to keep you in "the chair" to pitch product after product to you no matter how many times you say no. Pitching thousand dollar creams, that they then try to steeply discount AFTER you say no. Pricing is completely arbitrary based on "how rich you look." I made it abundantly clear I was not buying into any cream costing a thousand dollars, period. I specifically asked how much the eye cream was that he put on my face, he tells me $198. I agreed to buy one eye cream product. He gave me "free products" for my daughter because "I like you, I'll give you a good deal, see how nice I am?" After 45 minutes of aggressive sales tactics I had to cut him off and say enough because he wouldn't stop. I even flat out called out his "hustle and he was a little too good", this was my way of politely calling him out to stop hustling me any further. He then proceeds to ask me for my credit card, I start to get up to follow him to wherever the register is, and he insists I stay in my chair, "no need to get up" as if he's doing me some favor, but is out of view of my card, and on the opposite side of where I was sitting. Never at any point does he even show me the total for the cream. The next day I look at my receipt he put in my bag and he charged me for "free stuff" I didn't ask for and $998 for the stuff he told me was $198" Charged me over a thousand dollars!! I returned to the store 2 days later with a Demand Letter in hand after having filed a complaint with Attorney General for Deceptive Trade Practices. I got my money back, but had go to some extreme measures to ensure they would in-fact give me my money back. Report these guys to the Attorney General for a DTPA Violation so they can be investigated thoroughly. They can be fined up to $20K for doing this sort of thing to people. They apparently do it all the time nationwide. Don't let them screw another person over like this. Personally, I'm seeking out a PI Attorney to see about an injunction to have them forcibly stopped with such egregious and deceptive trade practices. Stay away from these thieves. read more

Honestly, I don't even know what this store is and had to look it up on the Woodlands Mall website in order to find out the name of the store in order to write this review. I parked in a new area today and used a new door to enter and exit the mall, and I will NEVER make that mistake again. After going to PBK, I entered the mall with my mother, my 4 year old daughter and my grandmother. We were on the OPPOSITE side of the aisle of the mall when entering and these sales ladies were OUTSIDE of the entrance to their store, yelling across to us. Upon entering we were asked 3 times something we couldn't understand, but I said "No thank you" and kept walking (slowly because of my daughter and my grandmother is 90 years old...). Finally, when yelling her question for a 4th time, I turned around and said "we said NO", and she CONTINUED to yell across at us to get us to come in. How is this legal? I'm trying to teach my daughter that No means No and when someone asks her to stop doing something or says no, she needs to stop, yet these adult ladies are teaching her the opposite. I understand this is a sales tactic, would NEVER even think about going there now when it's obvious that they don't respect people. I am so thankful I read reviews before I buy. They are very convincing about their products. I was snatched up before I knew it. The Israeli sales lady was so beautiful and her skin flawless. I was becoming swayed by the pitch. She instantly put me in a chair and proceeded to put stuff under my eyes for wrinkles and the cleaned my hand with a cleanser that made my veins protrude. She told me the product was $995 but she was going to be nice and sell it for the bargain price of $299 but wait there's more, she will throw in the face scrub and a facial worth $159 but wait there's more she was going to give my stepdaughter the same scrub and facial as well, or I could get $50 off instead.. She then said she would put a lotion in as well. I was complimented about how young I looked and how fortunate my husband was, so on and so on, I made it clear I was fortunate to have him! She is good but I never buy stuff like that without seeing what everyone else has to say. I am doing my part to warn others so they don't fall into their trap. I was finally able to get out of there and walk around the mall with my family. On the way out we tried to avoid the store and the guy came to us and asked how much did she offer the products for and we said $249 and he said, no no we give it to you for $149. Please beware of highly assertive sales techniques, gaining trust and friendship, so you are caught off guard at the Deerbrook Store. Have done business there since Dec. '19. Products are way over-priced but persuasive discounts make you justify purchase. The store manager, Ms. Eldar Alon, called me on Feb.2, '22 stating she had given me too many discounts. An owner said I needed to repay--$23K! I do not owe them anything, but because of her insistence I agreed to help out my "friend" & allow her to charge $2k. When I checked with my credit card, she had charged $12,990 & $2,165 on a second card. I did not give her permission for the second charge. This is fraud & is filed with Humble police. Other charges are under dispute or fraud as well. Permission was given to her by deceptive motives. Very slick of her to call b/c there is no record. However, I did text her confirming the $2k limit. I am a recent widow and a senior, but there is a very hard heart of manipulation going on in this company. Complaints against them are plentiful. Their no return policy has never been discussed with me. It is stated on their receipt which you sign first, then it is printed out. They have grossly violated the Deceptive Trade Practices Act and will be help accountable. I hope Deerbrook Mall will reconsider renewing a contact with this company. I am not trying to write an epic review. I am writing to warn other customers. What a horrible way to conduct business--through deception and manipulation when you have very nice products. They attack you with questions and chase after you with samples even after you've said no thank you. I am a 63 year old woman. Like many females and males out there I was hoping to get a product that would help the aging process that life throws at us. Walking in the mall I was approaches by this young lady about a product that would help with my wrinkles. I was worried because after chemo my skin was sensitive to so many chemicals so I was careful putting anything on my face and body. I was assured the ingredients were all organic and natural. The girl put a cream on me, I wasn't allowed to look in mirror while she did this and finally after a few minutes I was allow to look and my face felt tighter and the winkle that was there were gone. Just wow. I was ecstatic. I have been through hell with the battle of cancer and it has taken a toll on me. To see the woman I had hope to become was once again in front of me. I purchase the product and a few more . I was given instructions on how to apply and shown the door. 30 minutes later heading home I look in mirror and my face had loosen up and there were those winkles back, lol. But that night I felt a small burn but remember that saleslady had said there would be that feeling of heat. In the AM my face felt hot. I look for a number to call Gold Element and could not find number on receipt. and no listing at the mall. I called a location that was listed at a different location and was told I would be contacted. Never heard back. I called them back and number disconnected. Tomorrow I am headed to doctor to see why my face is red and irritated and hoping no damages was done to my eyes. The reviews are true. They are not who they pretend to be. I have been shopping at The Woodlands Mall since it first opened, so believe me when I say this, I've visited just about EVERY cosmetics store this mall has to offer. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against any of the other cosmetics stores, but I truly believe that the customer service offered here is unmatched and unrivaled in terms of high quality and care. Yes, they do approach you from time to time to show you their products, but that is just the nature of doing business! They want to make a profit, but can only do so if they 1) have your attention and 2) demonstrate that their products are worth buying! I really don't understand why anyone would want to sully this store's reputation just because their employees are open and upfront about desiring you to buy something. So...I'm writing this review for three main reasons, and I'll let you be the judge of whether you think this review deserves more 'weight' than any of the others. Clearly, I like their products - so there's no reason to go on and on about any of that, because that's just obvious...I wouldn't be a returning customer if I didn't like what they had to offer. The primary reason why I am writing this review, though, besides obviously liking their products, is that I think their customer service is fantastic and deserves praise. The employees spend time with you to understand what you want, what you don't want - and they are very much friendly and gregarious...it looks like they enjoy their work, and they add a nice vibe to atmosphere. My second reason for writing this review, is that, after being notified by one of the store owners/managers about their problem with the store's current status on yelp, which stood in direct contrast to my personal experience, I felt compelled to give them a genuine boost. I don't think in any way whatsoever, any store/company deserves to incur such wrath simply for wanting to help others and sell good products. Again, this comes back to great customer service. I think it's wonderful that they want to show me what they have, and I think anyone with even a modicum of self-esteem would think the same way. And my third reason for writing this review: location. It is just in such a wonderful area of town. I love this mall so much because it is easy to access, clean, full of options, and high-class. I may be unique in that I prefer to do my shopping in places where I can feel comfortable - knowing the people are upscale and of sound mind - and that's how I feel when I shop at this particular store. That about wraps it up. I just felt compelled to share my feelings with everyone...because as someone who grew up with a father who ran a family business, I understand how important customer reviews are, and so I felt compelled to share my unvarnished, unadulterated experience with prospective shoppers. I would like to give 0 stars but it isn't an option. Don't get suckered by these very aggressive salespeople. They are smooth and well trained to prey on insecurities. They are quite creative in telling about themselves, their world travels and the customers they've worked for. They demonstrated how I could improve my appearance and even gave me a coupon for a free facial. After repeated attempts to make an appointment via phone, I gave up. The phone never gets answered. Yes, I must admit I fell for their scam. Thankfully I didn't spend a lot. The customer service number connects with another store that says The Woodlands Store is not part of their franchise. They told me I would get an email with 2 vouchers for free facials at their Woodlands location. The credit card receipt I received said nothing about All Sales Final, No Refunds but the email receipt does. I did not see it until Sun. RUN!!! I only gave a one star because one must select a minimum of one star to post a review. Salespeople were extremely aggressive and I am embarrassed to say, I ended up buying some excessively expensive products. I fell for "it was nominated for a Cosmopolitan Award several consecutive years" (a Google search later, turned up no Cosmopolitan Magazine Award Nomination as I was led to believe). To be fair, In the store when they tried the products on me, I thought I noticed a difference, however, later that evening the results vanished. I did try the products on at home and I did not notice any results at all, in fact it really irritated my skin and I followed the instructions exactly as was provided to me. Because of skin inflammation, I checked out all the ingredients in the products and some of the ingredients appear to be toxic. Additionally the inside seals were either broken or missing when I opened up the packages. Not feeling good about my purchase, I checked my receipts and one states that I may return in 14 days if product is unopened and the other receipt states all sales are final and cannot be returned. Since it all started to feel suspicious, I checked out the Google Reviews for The Woodlands location and every reviewer had given positive feedback on at least a dozen or so other Gold Elements locations across the country. I also found a number of complaints online similar to mine. I feel very much like I have been scammed. Buyers beware!! UPDATE (Oct 04, 2016): I went back to the store to return the products w/in 24 hours ( I bought the products at 2:42PM CST on Oct 3, 2016 and tried to return the products at 1:14PM CST on October 4, 2016). I was met by the store manager Jen who told me she that although they wanted me to be happy and they stood by their products just as they promised me when I made the purchase, they could not accept returns at the store without corporate authorization that I had to call corporate for an authorization (none of this was told me at time of sale). She indicated the corporate offices were not open on a Sunday, I would need to wait for business hours. I called anyway at 1:49PM when I got home and someone named Casey told me he would have someone call me back to discuss. I asked when I could expect a call and he said soon. He never indicated they were closed today as I was told at the store. When in the store, I also happened to mention that I could not find the Cosmo Nomination online and they told me they would show me validation online but of course they could not find it.
