Who doesn't love a beauty store full of pretty smelly stuff? ;) I think this location has added more brands to their store. The aisles are pretty tight with people everywhere. If you don't like the crowds, I would avoid the weekends. Sephora offers sampling, especially when it comes to shade matching or skin care.. those samples is to see if your skin has a reaction. Most of Sephora staff are well trained in the brands. Sometimes it can get overwhelming in the store and everyone is always asking if you need help so I guess that's a good thing... they have their eyes on you! read more

This had to be the worst experience I've ever had at a sephora. Everything was a mess. I asked for help twice and no one came. I finally interrupted 2 employees that were just talking to help me find a product and one said "oh if it's not in the shelf, we don't have it". She didn't even know what product it was or tried to help me look for it. They had 1 cashier for a line of 12+ people and had like 6-7 workers on the floor. The beautiful advisor Matthew was awesome and very knowledgeable on the products I needed and was looking for. He helped me and didn't get frustrated doing it. His attitude was very inviting and cheerful. He also helped me purchase more than what I originally came in for. I Found some new things and he warn me about products I wanted to get for myself but wasn't really for my skin. All his suggestions were on point and great for my skin type. Overall I would definitely come back just to be served by Matthew it's not just about a sell to him but about meeting the customer needs and finding satisfaction in the products we purchase. I've never really had a great experience at Sephora but I guess it's the place we all keep going to for our makeup needs. Idk why I decided to go there instead of Blue Mercury across the street when I had a better experience there. Anyways, back to my recent experience last week. I bought three items a lip liner, a powder foundation, and a contour stick on a Tuesday afternoon and I spent over 30 minutes for that not because I'm indecisive but because it was very difficult to get help. Nobody was allowed to leave their station, there was one person matching foundation. After she helped me, (which by the way, the foundation I got is so much darker than my skin) I asked for a lip liner recommendation, and while she was showing me, she was asked to leave for her break. So, I was asked to wait for another person. Just second item and I had already waited for over 15 minutes. They matched me with the lip liner, the color of which also I absolutely hate now. Why can't they bother to put it on you vs just drawing a line on your hand? Is it too much to sanitize? Don't you want to sell the products? They just want you out of their way! And I had asked to look at Milk contour foundation which caused a tiny commotion leaving me a little bit embarrassed. I'm assuming it was the manager, but she yelled, "the ones in stock?". Idk what they have in stock, the lady helping me also didn't know. I kinda wanted to walk away at this point and I was on the fourth person trying to help me or just get me out of there. Later, when I had already picked out one, she had me follow her to see Fenty and I asked her which one she preferred but she said both are exactly the same. Sigh. I ended up just grabbing what they initially recommended which was ABH contour stick. The whole thing left a really bad taste in my mouth. I'm not sure if they'll take the stuff back but I'm gonna go and try to return and then go elsewhere. It was a Tuesday afternoon which means the store wasn't as busy as it would be during the weekend. I've had better interactions with people at kiosks at the mall probably because they really have to sell whereas Sephora is established and doesn't need little customers like me. I once bought a $70 bb cream from a lady outside Sephora because she was so nice and kind. Sephora needs to understand that women like me are already very intimidated to interact with all the beautiful women there who are so well put together. We go there hoping someone will help us look like them?? But I've never left feeling positive and happy about my purchase. As a short, over weight, unattractive woman I'm already out of my comfort zone, you don't need to show me I don't deserve to be there with your attitude, you know. I'm sorry if I come across as dramatic but that's exactly how I felt. I voiced my opinion with the cashier and Matt from glossier, and they apologized which I also doubt in terms of sincerity. Had they been nicer and more willing to help, I'd be writing a good review and probably buying more products. read more

I'd like to go on Sephari in Africa, but only if I can be covered in Sephora the whole time. Pretty good makeup store with high prices up in the Woodlands - and all the girls in here seem to be pretty and they do a good job with a makeovers and everything. Barbie likes it but she definitely likes Ulta better because of the great prices. Sephora is a major makeup store. They carry a lot of the high end makeup brands, like Anastasia Beverly Hills, Urban Decay, Kat Von D, and Too Faced. It's great that they have all the makeup out so you can sample colors of eyeshadow and lipsticks. The employees are very helpful. read more

Needed to pick up a new powder while I was at the mall, so I walked into Sephora and asked on the the sales associates for help picking one out and matching color. I didn't love the last powder I had so I explained that to the person helping me and she helped me find a couple options that I might like based on my wants and needs. I drove almost an hour to this Sephora in order to make a return. I had the receipt, and my return was within the window. STILL, the (rude) associate gave me a 'store credit' card. I just assumed it was the same as a gift card, so I didn't say anything. Today, I went to make a purchase online, and, turns out, that I can't use a store credit online. After spending over a half-hour on the phone with Sephora, I finally got the situation corrected. That being said, I don't know if the Woodlands associate was inept or just so rude she intentionally gave me something that I had to use in their store, but regardless it was terrible customer service in the Woodlands store. The makeup artist i booked didn't do what i asked her to do. I showed her a makeup look and i got the complete opposite of what i asked for. Although she was sweet the whole time she did my makeup i didn't not like the work she did. Their policy on the paying method of a full face was ridiculous. They make you put a deposit to hold your spot and it also works as a charge in case your late. then it they said it goes away when you finish paying for your service which is ridiculous. it should work as a deposit and go towards your full amount. read more

I did not see my makeup color on the shelf and asked one of the associates if they had my color and she said "we are really busy and no one can help you out at the moment so it could be a wait." I didn't even need to be color matched. I just wanted to know if they had extra which I later discovered is in the bottom drawer. I felt really bad for asking. Went to Macy's and got much better service. I really think management needs to improve their system because they seem very disorganized. read more

Recently I decided to switch all of my makeup to cruelty free brands. I was shocked that when I arrived they were very eager to help me, instead of looking at me like I am crazy. They were able to squeeze me in for personal makeover, Amber was so sweet. She spent an hour helping me select a ton of products. She was patient and very informed. I literally replaced all of my make up and skin care. Amber was very knowledgeable and made my experience completely painless. She also did a fabulous job on my makeup! I now write another Sephora review. I just love cosmetic/beauty/skincare stuff so naturally I'm going to LOVE this place. This particular store is located in the Woodlands Mall. It's a good size, well stocked and carries top lines in the cosmetic brands. Makeup Forever, Urban Decay, Tarina Tarantino, Dior, Two Faced and LORAC are a few of the good brands this place carries. They do not carry Bobbi Brown, however, and that was disappointing. Sephora carries some top lines in men's skincare, also. No, guys do not have to feel uncomfortable in here. It's a good idea to get a Sephora rewards card. There's several little perks to having one and it's free. Next time you are in Sephora, if you don't have a rewards card, check it out. read more

Went in there to get new foundation. I told the sales person I needed to check in the sunlight to see if it really matched because they are usually too pink or orange for my skin tone. Apparently that was insulting because they are so good at matching colors and I should just buy buy buy. Anyway I left and got a pinkberry and was sitting outside when my friend walks up and starts laughing at how I look like JLo now. So yeah, trust your instincts and don't let them peddle makeup on you that looks horrible in real life just because it looks good in a store with diffused lighting. read more

Mannnnn I love prestige cosmetics and I'm a Benefit AE myself but I'm so disappointed in Sephora. I went in for a Marc Jacobs Re-Marc-able foundation match and she did great matching but except whenever she took off my make up she used...a Bath and Body works pocketbac hand sanitizer to wipe off my foundation for the color match. It smelled good and all but I don't want that on my FACE. The tester bottle was near empty and she didn't make a new one for my complimentary sample so I didn't get a good amount to take home and try. Let me start by saying that I love Sephora. I have spent many a paycheck online and in store. I came in to the Woodlands Mall Sephora to pick up a holiday palette I had my eye on, as well as to ask for some guidance on contouring my face. I wanted to purchase a product and shade that would compliment my skin tone. I found one of the employees and asked if someone would have time to show me how to properly contour for my face shape and also give suggestions on the best contour color for my skin. The young lady asked one of the associates to help me. This is where things changed for me. The girl took about 3 minutes total, grabbing a random color off a shelf, sloppily applying it to my face, and then telling me to "do the other side" with no direction or intervention to tell me if I was correctly applying it or not. She then handed me a paper to give the cashier to say who "helped" me and rushed off to walk around the store. When I come to a beauty store. Especially one that I have spent literally thousands of dollars at, I expect to be treated with respect and to have someone take the time to assist me. If you show me how to do something properly, I want to buy more makeup. Buying more makeup helps the stores profits. That should be an easy one for them. Needless to say, I will not be coming back here for any more "lessons" read more

I've gone to this Sephora many times and had problems every time with the workers being rude and following me around the store. Besides that, it has been okay, I get the usual 30 workers asking me "can I help you?" "What are you looking for today?" Blah blah blah. But I was very disappointed when yesterday I went and saw a concealer I wanted to try. The woman matched me to the shade and I told her because my skin doesn't react to many complexion products very well, I wanted a sample because I loved the shade she matched me to a lot. I've done samples once before at a different location, the woman was very understanding and was showing me other foundations to sample as well for my skin type. At the other location I had gotten a sample of a foundation filled in a little plastic paint thing all the way to the top. I've even gotten a sample before at Mac for a complexion products , and they gave me a fair amount of product. Perfect for the 3-4 day wear I like to get out of a sample before I buy the product. Anyway, After the woman at this Sephora location gave me the sample in a bag, along with the primer. I didn't look or anything. Once I got home and the next day wanted to try it. I realized I barely even got a pump of the product in a sample. Really? How am I supposed to know if I really like this or if it bothers my skin if I don't even have a full pump of product to use on my face to try it out. I really don't understand why this woman was so stingy with a damn concealer and primer sample. Also, not to mention she was very rude. Was rushing my aunt and I out. Saying "if you aren't going to buy it, here you go" and hands sample. In a very rude manner she tosses the bag into my hand and walks away. No Thankyou, no nothing. read more

Terrible experience! I'm from Europe where staff don't bother you when you are shopping. In less than 5 min at least 4 girls that worked there ask me if I needed something. I said no thanks I just want to look, so I started trying new products now my hand and this girl came to tell me she had to do that, I said no thanks I know the store and the products and I wanna do it.... I kept looking for the products in the same brand and she came back in less than a min telling me again that she could do that for me. OkAy this is new for me. I think she though I was gonna steal something I guess because that was really aggressive! In Europe nobody bothers you if you don't need help, they ask you and that's all! Another review for yet another Sephora location. Beauty addict? I think so. I recently became part of their VIB Rouge if that tells you anything. Just like the majority of the other locations i have went to, this staff knows their stuff! Just recently i have been trying to find a new foundation because Bare Minerals just wasn't cutting it anymore. I asked for assistance when walking into the store, and was helped almost immediately.
