Brice contracted Jay Hagstrom (Mason) for the installation, tile work, re-piping etc... They were both wonderful to work with. Additionally, Dina in the office (brice's wife) was amazing too. Everyone coordinated and got the work done before any weather hit. All the while we were fit in another very large project nearby and the timing really work out very well. There were a couple of questions, hiccups along the way but Dina, Brice and Jay were in stellar customer service form. We are ever so grateful and LOVE our new wood stove and surround area. Showing Brice our concept idea from a Pinterest post he'll helped us understand what type of products we needed and how to choose. We picked a Regency wood stove that fits 16" wood with eash. There's a blower switch which may be used to push the heat in the space. Also, our number one request was to have a 'cooktop' in case we had no power. The first weekend we were able to used the wood stove we had family stay at the cabin with us and there was a PGE shutoff for a week minimum. We were able to cook for seven people right on top of the wood stove. What a total blessing. Without power we were unable to use the blower but we really stoked the unit to keep everyone as comfy and warm as possible. Brice introduced also to a company to obtain our concrete poured mantel which really looks like wood but will never burn. http://magrahearth.com/mortise-barn-beam-series Very handsome product!

When we hadn't heard from them for a few weeks, I began leaving phone messages and taping notes to their door - it was embarrassing. On one occasion, I caught the owner in the showroom, bul no commitment date, Mike said "we'll give you a call soon." After waiting a few more weeks, my husband left msgs on three different numbers, no return call. I again called in November, speaking with the other M. I explained our situation; he had no knowledge of our "small" job, but did say that they had just gotten a big job which they were currently working on. He said that maybe they could "squeeze" us in during Thanksgiving week. This did not work for us. In the middle of December, Owner M called to say that he could "probably squeeze" us in during Christmas week and would let us know, nothing definite. Finally, M called the week before Christmas, saying that they would do the job on December 21st 2018, 3 days before Christmas. We accepted, knowing that the timing could not have been worse but wanted the job done. It will be a very cold day in hell before I use Bartel again. Beware of having a small job!
