This place is complete garbage and it's owner is a thief…read more For over 3 years, I rented a space for my 2 Off Road Vehicles & the trailer used to haul them with. I don't live close to this business but I chose to use Gold Bar RV Storage because it's location is near multiple area's for off road vehicles and it made more sense to store my vehicles and equipment rather than travel back and fourth with it all. Last April (2015') I was in the area on unrelated business and decided to stop in and check on everything. So I enter in the gate code, drove around to the back and was shocked to see my rented space was now being occupied with someone else's equipment. Long story short, I contacted the owner who doesn't even live in the same state just to find out that they had no idea where my property had gone and advised me to contact the local police, which I did. Someone with the gate code had driven their truck into this secured facility and hitched up my trailer with my 2 off road vehicles loaded onto it and drove right out without drawing any attention from the on-site manager. The theft of my vehicles is a hassle to say the least and as of today, nothing has been recovered and although with the security cameras at the entrance and on-site manager giving the impression that all was safe, by using this service, the agreement I signed states that the establishment is in no was responsible for anyone's property.... Fine. But that does not explain why in the hell, the management/owner has been accepting my monthly storage fee for 10 months after my property had already been stolen. Thanks to google earth's, roll back the date feature, I was able to visibly determine what month it was when my vehicles had been taken which was, like I said, 10 months prior to the date I visited the storage facility for the last time. Even with time stamped visual proof, the owner refuses to return my 10 months worth of payments I made to them (on time, every time), and the 10 months of monthly payments they accepted with or without knowing whether the property they had been collecting for, had even been stored at their business. I guarantee that if my property had been stored at their facility and if for whatever reason, I had missed a monthly payment... A notice would of been sent out within that very first week and for that reason alone, I pray that their business goes up in flames, the day after their fire insurance expires. BONUS INFO: The security camera at the entrance/exit does not record video. It only shows a live feed to the on-site resident and manager who I later found out only lives there to help new customers by providing them with agreement papers. No other affiliation other than that. Just someone who pay's rent for a house in the middle of a storage facility. Questions? This company and the people have been very good to us, I have rented over a decade now. They are very informative about what they do. I have read some of the negative remarks and they are really sad. It seems at times people are upset with situations that they put themselves into or that others have no control then like to blame or make bad remarks. I know for when auto payment they want you to come in, so that way they know they are dealing with the correct person and so they can have your signatures and everything. That is being a good business making sure they aren't just using anyone's cards, and making sure to have full authority to withdrawal to pay your bill. Otherwise they have several alternative ways to pay, you can even pay online yourself.

Realizing much of the issue was with UHaul and its procedures, and knowing the clerk was undoubtedly feeding off my frustration, as well as frustrated herself for having to follow such ludicrous directions, I've given an extra star. In a nutshell, believe it or not, despite my name, number and ID matching that of the reservation and my photo ID, I had to provide 2 references who she then called to make sure I was who i was. Neither answered because these days, rarely do people answer unknown calls, but thankfully, she accepted their voice messages as proof I existed. Also, the truck was double-booked for the next day so we were, in a roundabout way, asked to return it early. All in all, check out took 40 minutes. Check IN had to be through their website, with several photos, and with a dying phone battery and wondering how people without smart phones do it, the process took 15 minutes when it should have been a simple key drop. All in all, just shy of a full hour of bureaucracy. UHaul has lost our business.

Tirzah smoked cigarettes right outside of our business. Her unprofessionalism was unbelievable because she was petty on behalf of her friend who decided to open the same business as us. She moved her friend right next to us, came into our building without asking on the weekends (we have video proof), let her friend take things from our unit and then even tried to raise our rent on us hoping to drive us out. We rented 3 spaces from here and the 3rd space had a disgusting floor. We asked if they could clean or replace the floor before we moved in but she told us she could not so I paid for the floors to be replaced. She agreed if we replaced the floor, she could do the free trimming for us. The job she did was A JOKE and I have posted photos of it on yelp. I have held back from writing anything but since we have moved out, I still feel like these problems need to be addressed because there is no way a manager of a building where people operate their business should treat tenants in this way. They made a huge hole in our wall and told us they would fix it but never did. No explanation on what the hole was even for. We also told them we did not have hot water in November of 2019 because of something they messed with. In January of 2020 I reminded if she could fix the hot water, and she rudely said she will. Then quarantine happened. Months passed and the hole in the wall hasn't been fixed, yet she's still charging every month for rent ... which makes no sense because weren't we paying rent for them to fulfill their landlord duties? In June when we could open up again and the stay at home order was lifted, we asked if they had fixed the hot water issue so our clients could wash their hands because it was essential for us to have for our business and she replies she had been too busy to do it. We moved out July of 2020 and moved out all of our things and they still charge us cleaning fees. Extremely unprofessional to come into our unit without notice, not fix essential things to keep our business operating, and reply to tenants in the way she did. Flash forward to the end of July when we had already moved out of the work spaces -- you would think that our problems would end there. We needed to change our address so Google sent us mail to the work spaces in order to confirm our address. We had emailed Tirzah asking for her to keep an eye out for the mail but she instead confirmed that we were still at the old addresses which complicated our clients' appointments because Google would route them to Creative Work Space. I have accounts from numerous clients who have told me they went to our old location, only to be told by the manager that we were still there and pointing them into the direction of her friend's business. The logical thing would've been to inform our clients that we have moved instead of sending them on a goose chase. To anyone thinking of moving here, don't! There's sketchy people around the building and there's never parking anywhere. Not to mention the shared bathrooms always get vandalized and smell terrible. The bathroom doesn't lock so people can walk in on you.
