In March, my.mother researched Northern Virginia taxi companies that offered transportation from her home to Dulles airport. The reviews she read about Go Green were so favorable that she had to give them a try. The reviews were true to form, as the experience was phenomenal! She called and they called her back almost immediately. She arranged for the taxi, and they called to tell her when the taxi was on its way, when it was 10 minutes from her house, and when it was outside her door. The driver helped her get her bag into the car, and they had a wonderful 40-minute ride to the airport. He was polite, courteous, and extremely interesting. Online taxi request was easy, but the callback to confirm took a couple of hours. Call out was for 3am, and the taxi request was submitted around 6pm the evening prior. Driver that picked me up was OUTSTANDING. He was on-time, courteous and helpful, and his vehicle was very clean. My call out to DCA was lump sum $25, and was worth every penny in my opinion. Needless to say the driver was tipped well. If this level of service is what you expect, then GoGreen is your taxi. Will definitely call again when back in the DC area. read more

When I used this company two years ago, I had no issues. I just tried to book them again using their online form, two days in advance. I never got a confirmation text or email. I called the day before to check, and went straight to voicemail, and got an automated text saying to fill out the form again or text them. I said "screw it" and just used Lyft instead. Not sure what's happened, but based on the recent bad reviews, it looks like this company is not in great shape, and I recommend using someone else. read more

The dispatcher/owner really knows what great customer service means. They take the time to understand where you are, where you're going, and when you need to go. Even better, they call you back after they've made contact with the driver with a REALISTIC estimate of arrival time...then they even go the extra step to say, "Will that still work for you?" Very customer oriented cab company. Relatively small cab company, but a real gem. They don't have the big dispatch centers the larger cab companies have, but they make up for it with drivers that speak fluent English and seem to have a bona-fide interest in customer service. I haven't used them a whole lot myself as I don't live in the DC area anymore, but my parents use them all the time. My last trip with them was from Cameron Station to DCA and my driver was John. One, their site is malfunctioning, two, how the hell am I supposed to write it down and text the number the guy on the recording is speaking so quickly! Ugh! A great option when needing reliable appointments to the airport and room for luggage...make sure you specify if larger storage space needed. Usually not a go green cab (they use other drivers from partner cabs) for us due to space but always clean, professional and friendly. Uber doesn't always have someone who has enough space for us, plus they have to be contacted when you are prepping to depart...and that varies so widely. This way, we can get a confirmed rate without waiting charges, driver is there on time, and we appreciate that so much. read more

Do not use this cab company! I made an online reservation for a Go Green Taxi on their website. I then called an hour before the scheduled pick-up time (5:15 p.m.) to confirm that our reservation was received and that the cab would be there to pick us up. The cab never arrived, so I called back at 5:20 to make sure they weren't lost. The operator stated that they were too busy and could no longer provide us with a taxi. They did not call to tell us this and one hour prior, had told us they would be there. I will never again use Go Green Taxi and I think their poor business practice is unprofessional and extremely inconsiderate. read more

A very neutral review. Why? Because a GoGreen cab didn't show up. Instead they sent another company's cab to fetch me. The driver was very nice and friendly but didn't know why he was dispatched instead of GoGreen. I don't know either. But it is also important to know that the online reservation system for GoGreen is dangerous. You fill out your details such as pickup date, location and time and then click "Reserve." Instead of providing a confirmation page or email, you are taken back to the homepage at this point. If you typed the wrong date or time or address, it's just too bad. You won't find out until you miss your flight. I have never bought or reserved anything online where I wasn't presented a confirmation page and email or text. With GoGreen, you have to ask for that. Otherwise you just have to have faith. Not very comforting at all, and I'm not sure I'll use them again. read more

All the reviews of DC can companies on Yelp had me scared there was no company in the city that I could count on to pick me up on time until I saw GoGreen's positive reviews and hoped against hope they were actually true. They were. I reserved online and someone called me minutes later to confirm. The next morning, the company called me a half hour before my ride and again when they were outside. My driver was prompt, professional, and friendly. He also took credit card without the usual grief cabbies will give you when you don't want to do cash. Reasonable price too. My son and I were stranded in Washington DC this past weekend on our route back to Fort Lauderdale. After a day or so of frustration with the Airlines and the weather, we were able to stay with a friend. I saw Go Green Cab on Yelp and I went to the website and put in my request for a cab pick up at the crack of dawn. Our flight was at 6 a.m. so we were requested a 4 a.m. pick up. Within 60 minutes I got a response clarifying my request in asking just a little bit more information. The company is very responsive to your questions and they are very prompt in responding. The trip itself was smooth as silk. I got a call before the driver was in front of the house. My son and I were ready we got in the car the conversation with the driver was great. He was very informative about Washington and we talked about some of the changes that were going on in the city in comparison to Fort Lauderdale. The car was clean the service was excellent. I don't know whether the cost for the trip was standard or not but I would pay it again for the ease of booking. read more

I live in Silver Spring and needed a ride to DCA. The driver showed up on time and the car was nice and clean. But the driver insisted on taking the Beltway Outer Loop even after I told him it was better to go through town. By the time we got to DCA the meter was reading $82, without the bag fee and tip. I asked him if he thought that was reasonable and he gave me some BS about his "regular customers in Silver Spring who always pay that much". I paid him half (which is still too much) and got out of the cab. If you use these guys, make sure you know the shortest route, and insist on it, or their drivers will screw you. read more

They were closed when I called, so I made an appointment on line. Didn't hear back, so I texted ... Didn't hear back. Decided to go with another company with a 24/7 dispatcher and texted my cancellation. Then, Evelyn called from Go Green to make sure I got my confirmation. I wasn't getting her texts, but was so impressed that she called and impressed by their Yelp reviews that I cancelled the other cab and went with Go Green. There have been 57 previous reviews about GoGreen and this is my 5 star experience (hotel/transport/dining) from my recent east cost trip. You can text them, and they are quite responsive (before your trip, arrival at airport, getting luggage). The driver was friendly, respectful, and the trip from Dulles to Alexandria flew by , meaning interesting conversation, relaxed trip, and just a nice experience after flying cross country. They are as good a "taxi, limo" service as you can find, and are priced quite fairly for the trip. I have taken many taxis, super shuttles etc with some horrendous experiences, and these guys demonstrate what 5 stars should be. I'd be happy in other cities with service 3/4 as good as them to give a benchmark. I told the hotel that they should use them, and am referring my associates, friends, and family in the DC area to them. Seriously, read the reviews (both about others) and on them.
