My boyfriend and I brought our dog for training here and we loved it. Everyone was really nice and Diane, the trainer was really patient with all of our questions and with our dog who could get a little loud at times. I can honestly say I've noticed a great change in my dog after 7 weeks. They covered all the bases and made sure to answer our questions whenever we needed a little extra help. Carley was always so nice and made us feel welcomed right from the start. Diane's high energy and great personality made this training session enjoyable. When we decided to add a Rottweiler to our family back in December 2013 we knew we wanted to make sure he was trained correctly to avoid having any issues with him being too aggressive. We found GoFetch through yelp and their reviews are absolutely so spot on! Our boy Blue met Katherine when he was about a month old. He tested his boundaries with our entire family for a while and it even got so frustrating at one point that I really thought we had made a mistake by adding him to our family. She encouraged us to just stay consistent and that he would figure it out eventually. I am SO glad we listened to her advice. My Blue is such an amazing dog. Loyal, loving, protective and so smart! He is protective but NOT aggressive in any way and I know for sure that has to do with Katherine's help and all her great training, pointers and tips. My Blue enjoys his days at "doggy daycare" - I know he has such a great time there because he gets so excited when he's in the car and sees we are turning the corner to go to Go Fetch. The entire staff is amazing and we don't just take the dog to them for daycare we take them there for their grooming as well. I recommend Go Fetch to ALL my dog owner friends all the time. We have been taking our puppy Sonny to goFETCH for almost 2 months now and have no complaints! He has attended puppy socialization and is now in the level 2 group training class. Sonny is a naturally shy pup and was hesitant to play or even get out of the corner during puppy play time, but with the help of the coordinator and trainer, we have seen great improvement in his socialization throughout the weeks. They did a great job at pushing Sonny out of his comfort zone little by little. We also started attending the group training classes and we've really enjoyed them because the size of the group is not too large and the trainer is able to dedicate one-on-one time with each dog and it's owner. Sonny was in the first level class for about 3 weeks and has now moved up to the second level since he knows the commands (sit, down, focus) verbally and with hand signals. The trainers really know what they're doing and do their best to assist you and your pup and answer any questions. Overall, we love goFETCH and are thankful for the services they provide! read more

I have a pup with 'issues.' He's a rescue and loves most other dogs. Once in a while though, he lunges. Every trainer I've asked has suspected there is something from his past that sets him off. The pros at goFetch not only effectively trained my dog (and my mother), but also have socialization exercises every other Sunday in the park that the dogs love and a great daycare. Finally a daycare run by professionals so I don't have to worry my dog will learn bad habits while there! Carley and the rest of the staff are amazing. I just picked up my dog Hugo from a grooming session at goFetch and could not be happier with their service and work. Hugo's a rescue dog so he's a bit skittish. He's also extra-sensitive about his feet and face. When the PetCo groomer rejected him because he was too "aggressive," I was worried that I wouldn't find a groomer to take him. Carley and Zuly at goFetch listened to the issues, took the time to make Hugo feel comfortable, and managed to give him a great cut without any issues. He did start to get anxious when cutting the matted hair from his paws and face, so they gave him lots of breaks, wrapped him in a blanket to calm him, and worked with him patiently to get the cut done. They took such care with him; it's obvious how much they love dogs. They also gave me tips on how to help Hugo overcome his anxieties and how to keep his hair from getting matted. I will definitely be going here from now on. Oh, and their prices were lower than PetCo's too. Thanks for taking such great care of Hugo! read more

Our experience at goFetch was great! We have a chow mix and her fur was a mess. They bathed and groomed her in 2 hours! So fast and Sadie didn't smell all parfumy but looked great! They also were so sweet with her, that goes a long way with me. The best part is they did a better job removing Sadie's winter coat and for less money than Petco. read more

Carley is awesome! My goldendoodle Bella was very untrained and a handful. Carley worked with us one on one for a very affordable price and trained me on how to properly train my dog! By the end of our sessions Bella was walking properly on her leash, knew the sit and stay command and wasn't jumping on people. Carley was very patient, caring and helpful. She spent time with me after each session going over her progress and what I should work on between sessions. I love goFetch. I did a lot of research into possible daycares for my pup, Loki, and it was hard for me to find a daycare that I could trust. For me, I look for cleanliness, staff friendliness and attentiveness, and overall "feel" that you get when you visit. We love FETCH... We found out about Carley and Katherine from a friend that had used them to help train his dogs. After researching other programs we decided to go with FETCH, it was the best fit for our family. They are willing to work with your schedule and in your own home environment. We worked with Katherine to help us transition bringing a new boxer puppy, Heidi, into our family with two older boxers, as well as basic puppy behaviors. With their help we were able to smoothly transition Heidi into our pack. Katherine was patient and worked with us, I am sure it was harder for her to train us the then Heidi. I was a little worried my Australian cattledog Riley would be freaked about being dropped off for his temperament test, since he was a rescue, but as it turned out, he seemed to love being there. The first thing I noticed was the smell. I expect doggy daycares to have an "earthy" aroma--but goFetch smelled wonderfully clean and fresh. The manager Adam began talking to Riley right away, and within a minute Riley was trotting off happily behind him. When I picked Riley up an hour or so later, he didn't seem eager to leave like he does when we go to the vet. It seems like goFETCH really cares about their animals and I'm looking forward to using their service with full confidence they'll take care of my lil darling doggy so he can have some fun while I'm at work. read more

I'm not one to write reviews, but I'm so happy with the service that we get that I thought I better write a quick note. We have two very different dogs, a blind pug, and Malinois( Sam). I wanted to get some help with the Malinois and they have been training them both for 5 weeks now, and I see such a difference in working with Sam on walks and around other dogs. This is my first time with a working dog as part of the family and they have really helped a novice owner feel like a good handler. They take the time to get to know you and your dog, and make you and your family ( 2 legs and 4 legs) feel like you are part of the goFETCH family.. Now that I have used a couple of the services they offer, the free group class, the PAD Camp, in house training, and the day care i can say all the services are top notch, and they always make sure each experience is positive for you and the dog.. I thought Sam might not enjoy day care, but she seemed to have a good time was happy to go back. It's been about 3 years since I used FETCH training but I wasn't a Yelper back then. Carley was GREAT and helped me with my newly adopted Akita, Kodiak. Kodiak didn't have any behavioral problems at that time and a 6 week private training was more than enough but I'm glad we worked with Carley regardless of the fact that my dog must have been trained by previous owners. She helped me train him to stay and "show me your belly" since he HATED being on his back. The training worked great and my vet is very happy as Kodiak is 1000 times better getting on his back now! The group training was also fun and included at the time with the private sessions. read more

Actually 5 doesn't cut it, my pups say 10 stars. My daschund had in home training over a year ago with Katherine and it helped with his bad manners. The low discounted vaccines are wonderful when you have 3 dogs and the nummy buttermilk truck is also a plus. One of our newer rescues, Roxy just went to a Sunday daycare and loved it. She came home tuckered out and happy. I was nervous for nothing. goFetch employees are amazing pet loving people with great attitudes and i feel nothing but full trust in leaving my dog with them. My two others need a little better socializing skills before they enter daycare, but our rescue Roxy will be joining in when we can on Sundays. read more

The first time my dog went to Fetch, he was scared and shaking. On the second day, he jumped out of the car and went straight in with his tail wagging. He was so excited to be there! The staff is really nice and caring. They are taking extra time with our new rescue dog, who is 10 years old, to make him feel safe and secure, since is suffering from severe separation anxiety. The place is very spacious and clean and always smells nice when you walk in. They will also do grooming and training while your dog is at daycare. Mae is a rescue pup with an unknown past and a fear of other dogs. After being in various training classes and pack walks for the past year, she is a lot better but I was too wary of taking her to a dog park. GoFETCH were amazing. Mae was very nervous at her temperament test but GoFETCH was willing to work with her in small sessions to acclimate her slowly. Now I've notice huge improvements to her confidence and calmness when we are out on the street and in class. Dogs that run up to her or bark like crazy don't even get a second look. This review is long overdue. My pup was a regular here at goFetch and the staff has really helped with socializing my dog. When my dog was a puppy he was very hyper and started acting out (barking and wouldn't let me sleep due to boredom). Ever since I started taking him here it was a complete turn around in his behavior! There was a couple of instances when he got too hyper while at daycare and the staff notified me right away and I did have to pick him up but they offered training classes for him instead of just shooing him away. The staff is knowledgeable and caring! We have since moved to San Diego but I'm so thankful for Aaron, Carley and the rest of the staff at Gofetch for helping me raise my boy. read more

Short version: This will be your furbaby's home away from home. The team at GoFETCH are incredible and your dog will be happy, loved, and come home exhausted from so much play time! Long version: I can't believe it has taken me so long to write this review. We lost our boston terrier girl, Dublin, to cancer in December, but for three years before that in Long Beach, GoFETCH was her home-away-from-home. I had always hated dropping her off at other doggie daycares--she would be nervous, shivering, would pull at her leash. This was *not* the case with GoFETCH--when we would walk up to their door, she would run inside, not wanting to wait to be checked in before running through the gate to the play area. The wonderful owners Carley, Katherine, and Aaron, have worked really hard to make this place exceptional--they and their sweet staff always made our girl feel safe and comfortable. They were affectionate with her (many times I would see the staff members give her a snuggle or a kiss), played with her (you'd have thought she was a retriever from how much this girl loved to play fetch), and clearly appreciated her quirks (when picking her up, we'd often be met with stories about something funny she did, or something new they had noticed about her). I never would have thought I would find a place to care for my dog that I trusted so completely. GoFETCH is incredible at what they do.
