I was introduced to God's Movers through U-Haul on Lincoln St in KCMO. I'm new to the state (single female physcian moving to KC to work at KU hospital) and to downtown KCMO and needed moving help at the last minute (5:30 pm on a Wednesday evening...they were actually getting ready to cook dinner when I got a hold of them ! ) because of a mix up with delivery of my U-Pack cube and confusion with street information in downtown KCMO. I spoke to Aylesi (wife of the owner of the company-Rob) who was really sweet and took down all of my information and got back to me within minutes with a quote. They met me at my apartment and got started right away. They were professional, polite, and FAST. They unloaded the entire u-pack cube in less than 2 hours. The rates are fair ( I paid a bit more bc i was super last minute - but I was so impressed that I tipped on-top of the quoted amount). I will absolutely be using them again in the future ! Unprofessional. The lady who was helping handle the business side was unbelievably rude. They blamed us for being late when actually the lady changed the time when we told her it was going to be inconvenient. They don't have their own truck so they wanted us to pay early. I buy and sell kitchen equipment all over the country. When I purchased a very large cooking kettle at a school in Kansas City, I tried calling around to find a local mover that could handle the job. Most movers can't be bothered to answer the phone however when I called God's Movers they picked it right up and you could tell they wanted to help. The move job was no easy task - take an 800 lb kettle out of a kitchen, get it into a small elevator, get it down to the bottom floor and then onto a truck where they had to palletize and make ready for shipping. Mr. Tooley told me it shouldn't be a problem for them and gave me a price at which time I gave him the go ahead. Neither one of us had anticipated the challenges of dealing with the school staff. People not showing up at the appointed time or showing up then just walking away. To make a long sad story short if the school had done what they said they would, God's Movers would have been done in 2 or 3 hours. As it was Mr. Tooley had to return to the school on 3 different days - total time - about 15 hours. Mr. Tooley kept his cool, kept his price the same as was quoted and kept at it until the job was done. Most everyone would have gotten frustrated and walked away but not God's Movers. If ever you need anything in and around Kansas City moved, commercial or residential you CAN NOT find a better, more professional company or person to deal with than Mr. Robert Tooley at God's Movers. read more

WARNING do NOT give all the money up front!!!!!! They under estimated how much stuff my friend had (even though they agreed via contract for the job at the price THEY bid) and demanded more money. She would not agree to giving more money (which may I add they demanded at 9:30pm via paypal) and they delivered 3/4 her belongings to her new home 6 hours away leaving her stranded to find another mover to move her other 1/4 belongings. Her husband passed away about 6 months earlier and I feel they took advantage of her, and am extremely disappointed with their unprofessional way of dealing with moving. She could sue them for breaching the contract, but she isn't. Use them at your own cost and do not let their 'Christian values' fool you. The Lord would not leave a widow stranded with only 3/4 her belongings while under contract for the whole job and demand more money. VERY POOR BUSINESS read more

I recently had to move out of my apartment on the 3rd floor of my building. I didn't have a whole lot of items to move, but they were big heavy items. Bed, couch, and other furniture. They did a very good job and were quite professional. My things were moved in a timely manner and they even set my bed back up at its new location. I will definitely be using God's Movers services again in the near future. read more

I am from lees summit mo and was in need of movers ASAP and didnt have a lot of money since the move was unexpected..I googled movers in Kansas City and a list of companies popped up.i called a company that has been around since the 80's and got an estimate and it was way more then I could afford..I then called another and the same..to high and then GODS MOVERS....I read the reviews and all were excellent and I called Robert and Alysy Tooley the owners and he asked me some questions and gave me a quote after speaking with his wife who then called me and set a date and time and sent a confirmation for me to sign..it was that simple and they moved me today and Robert and the other two movers were one of the best moving companies that i or anyone in my family have used..they did a wonderful job and were true gentlemen and took very good care of all of my property..not one thing broken or scratched..they were on time and actually took more time then predicted to get things done properly..I will and we have already recommended GODS MOVERS to everyone who needs a moving company..They are truly GODS MOVERS...I was in a bad situation and financially hit with the move and they accomidated me and they beat every other moving company by far!!!
