My Husband's review of Jason and goDog was filtered (even though it was 5 stars), so I thought I'd write one about how awesome Jason and his team are. They do an awesome job of pairing Harper (65lb mix) with lots of different dogs, and I always feel like they go out of their way to make sure she has a playmate who will romp around with her. Jason understands that our schedule changes daily, and he is flexible and easygoing with last minute changes and adjustments, always knowing we do our best to give him as much notice as possible. He and his team leave great notes and texts updating us on the day's activities, and we always know Harper is in the BEST hands with them. We plan to leave our pup with Jason while away on vacation and I didn't think twice about how happy she'll be. She may not want to come home!!! I would have a hard time trusting anyone else to care for Harper after the awesome job this team has done so far! read more

They know that he has "special needs" and in addition to all the necessary details, I get a great note describing important activities (bathroom talk) plus humor and poetry. From the beginning, Jason came to Manhattan to meet the pups before we ever moved to Park Slope. The whole team was great, being extremely flexible (I'm a freelancer and my wife works long hours) and giving the guys plenty of exercise every day. We even had Jason take care of our dogs around our wedding, he even brought them so they could share in our day. In three years of having our guys looked after by GoDoG, we never had a problem. We have since moved out the walking zone, but we still call Jason for overnights. The notes are always informative and thorough and if someone forgot to write one, he would always text us what happened. Guys. I almost don't even want to let the secret out. But I found jason and co. on Yelp so I definitely need to repay the favor. Jason and Alex and the crew are amazing. My 12 lb. King Charles, who is a total menace, and likes no one but us, even likes them! Jason took such time and care to come over and meet our little terror who, by the way, nips at people, and to make me feel okay that he and his guys could handle Miles. Problem dogs are their specialty. So we signed up with them and haven't looked back. We have been using Jason and the crew for over a year now and I can truly say I have NEVER seen our pup more well-adjusted, less stressed and tired. He even eats and sleeps better! I never worry, totally trust the guys, and tell everyone about them. Beyond all this, they even go out of their way to write hilarious funny notes and send pictures of Miles lounging in the house or enjoying the sun outside. It makes my day! I was recently on maternity leave so I got to see the guys daily and know them pretty well (and some of the other neighborhood pups) and they are always sweet, loving and totally responsible. Jason and his crew are awesome. They treat my dog as if he were there own and after walking him send text messages with a rundown of there activities. My husband and I have ever changing schedules, like many NY'ers. I am an event planner and he is a freelance camera-man. When we got our dog, we needed a dog walker we could trust (ours was a timid rescue who was afraid of basically everyone!) and also someone who could be flexible. We found it in Jason and Godog! They are amazing - professional, friendly and SO helpful. They have great knowledge - and especially in the beginning as you learn what to do and tricks, they are always there to lending a helping hand, offering suggestions of things you can do on walks, types of leases or harnesses. I don't think we would have survived the first few months of dog ownership without them there to lend a helping hand! And a few times we have been in a pinch, needed a last minute walk or extra walk, they are always there! When our dog, Finn, sees the walkers on the streets he gets so excited, running up and jumping up to give them kisses, it is obvious he is in good hands. For two years Jason and his group took my pups, Cosmo & Koko, into their pack. I never had to worry about whether they were getting enough love and attention during the day. They left detailed notes about what went on during the day and never cheated them on time - in fact, I found that many times they kept the dogs with them longer than was required, letting the dogs enjoy the beautiful weather outside. The group was very trustworthy, and now that we live far away, I believe my dogs actually miss them! read more

Jason and his crew are terrific. We have personally witnessed our puppy go nuts with excitement when they arrive - maybe even more so than when she sees us. They are very reliable and professional and have helped us out with any training or dog care questions we have had. Jason is the best dog-walker....bar none. After my 8year old Rottweiler arrived from Arizona he had a difficult time adjusting to city life.....constantly jumping and going crazy when other dogs passed by. Day after day of watching other dogs in my building get walked by other dog-walkers I was really hesitant to hire someone to take my dog for a walk.....I wasn't really happy with the quality and care these other pups were receiving from other companies. After dealing with this for a year and limiting walks to midnight strolls and early morning runs, I hired Jason to deal with midday walks and was immediately impressed. Within two weeks the problem of my dog going crazy was noticeably better.... Jason worked his doggy magic. I have even asked him to come walk my dog on more days just because I am so impressed with how much better my dog is behaving!! He even sends occasional pics of my dog and, I kid you not, my dog is smiling in them. In addition, Jason is genuinely just a really nice guy that is so great with animals and is very professional. From almost the moment we brought our puppy home, Jason and the GoDog family were there to help! Jason came over to meet her right away and helped us set up a walking schedule. It started with private visits and then they transitioned her to group walks as soon as she was able, to help with socializing. Jason himself started the visits and still comes to see her when he can, but our puppy Elvira is completely obsessed with her regular walker Siena. They have such a great relationship, I couldn't imagine our lives without Siena and Jason. Siena also stayed with Elvira in our apartment for a week while we were out of town, a personal touch that was truly appreciated and Elvira LOVED it - the pictures Siena sent showed her completely comfortable and her happy self. Jason sends us daily updates after every walk and I feel like I talk to him more than some members of my family. No question goes unanswered and both he and Siena definitely care deeply for our dog. They are also super flexible - if we need an extra walk here and there or if our plans change. With my busy work schedule, I was a little nervous about getting a dog, but with Jason and Siena part of her care team, I'm so thankful and 100% confident that she is being looked after by the best possible people when I'm not around. read more

I can't say enough good things about Jason and his dog walking team! Every day we received a detailed, upbeat message with the recap of our dog, Fiona's afternoon. You can tell that Jason cares a lot about dogs! Fiona was always so excited when someone came to pick her up. They are reliable, friendly and trustworthy. Jason would check in regularly on Fiona (she has skin issues) and even reached out to some vets to help her / us. If you are in need of dog walking services in Brooklyn, I would highly recommend go dog! Jason and his crew has been walking Roxy for over 2 years and 6 months. Roxy was rescue and had some issues, but they were very patient with her. She loves Jason and everyone at GoDog and if we ran into them on a street, she must gives them sloppy juicy kisses! Roxy also loves her friends from GoDog and they know each other every well. All the dogs are at ease with GoDog walkers. We are freelancers and have a hectic & irregular schedule, but Jason is always so understanding and flexible. Even at a last minute. Also, our favorite time of the day is to read a note from them. It always bring us to smile. Jason and his team have been walking our dog for about two years and they're awesome! Super flexible on timing and schedule changes, and we love the text updates and photos we get every day (special shout out to Xavier who writes the most awesome, enthusiastic notes!). Jason and his reliable team of walkers walked my dog, Peanut, for a year. They were very flexible with rearranging walks as my schedule changed week to week. They left me the greatest notes about the walk's adventures each day and occasionally sent pictures to prove it! Peanut loved all the walkers and they showered her with attention and treats. Finding Jason and the GoDoG crew over a year and a half ago was a complete God send! Definitely the best experience I have had with a dog walker... because they are certainly the best. From the first 'meet and greet' date to every walk since I have not been disappointed. I work long 12 hour shifts and it was always a huge relief to know that my Moolah was well taken care of. Everyone loves Moolah as if she were their own (I just noticed there's a picture of her on the Yelp page!), in fact I've had the opportunity to be home when a member from the crew has shown up and it made me so jealous because Moolah greets them with more excitement and enthusiasm than when I come home. I am convinced that she likes the boys who walk her more than me! But it's always so nice to come home to the handwritten notes to see how she was, and on special occasions pictures and videos. And Jason is more than wonderful about accommodating my schedule and any last minute needs or changes (within reason of course). I cannot recommend the crew at GoDoG enough! It is with such a heavy heart that I have to say good bye to these guys as I leave the city - I'm almost certain that I will not find anyone quite able to fill the GoDog void. read more

It would be impossible for me to overstate what a wonderful experience we had working with Jason and his crew. They walked our two rescues that range from a bit skittish or totally terrified around people for over a year. I'd never used a dog walker before and the patience and love he and the rest of his team gave our pups went above and beyond whatever it was I expected going in. Jason always made sure to update us on how the walks went and if there was anything we needed to know or worry about and he was supremely flexible, which was important since my wife's schedule fluctuated some and we'd ask to rearrange walk schedules on short notice. We also had some members of the crew stay over and dogsit for long weekends and our dogs really took to them. I only wish we didn't move so far away or that Jason could open up a branch out in the Bronx. If you live anywhere near Park Slope or Sunset Park or Gowanus and you own a dog, sign up with GoDog. They were dependable and worked well with my dog which had some behavioral issues due to coming from a shelter where he was housed for several weeks. Jason and to GoDoG team... honestly, we can't say enough good things about them. I think it is a very delicate thing to hand over keys to your house and entrust someone to (what effectively amounts to) caring for a family member. Truth is, we absolutely adore our dog, I mean we LOVE this dude (yeah, we are those people)...and we were very nervous about trusting someone to come in and take care of him when we weren't home. We spoke to Jason on the phone and then he came over and spent nearly an hour with us. And not a creepy-"uh-when-is-this-dude-gonna-leave" hour. Not only did we get to know him, but he got to know us...he took time to let Monkey sniff around, meet him, play with him, learn what his temperament was like, his eating habits, his behavior on a leash, his interactions with other dogs...listen, I know it sounds like a big mushy dog-owner thing to say, but he really established trust with Monkey...and more importantly, with us. It was far beyond our dog just getting excited about a "new person" in the house. Since then, Jason and team have gone far beyond what we would have expected. We have fluctuating schedules and they have always, always accommodated us...(and, if I'm honest...at times they have really saved our butts!). He and his team match dogs who they think will get along so they can romp around on walks together. They send pics of Monkey out on a walk with his buds. They leave detailed notes/texts about the walk, the behavior, the changes. I've received texts from Jason expressing concern over Monkey if he had an upset stomach earlier in the day..awesome. I've been out walking our dog and ran into Jason on the street and Monkey went NUTS when he saw Jason; exactly the reaction you want. But, the entire team is great. I have been home early a couple of times and met Alex as he is coming back with Monkey....you can tell he just loves our dog like he is his own. Great guy. It is just a great group of people. they care, but aren't like freaky weird about it, they don't act like they know-it-all dog guru or any craziness like that...but most importantly they take excellent care of our little dude. Our tibetan terrier, Harley, came to us when he was only 10 weeks old, and the neurotic dog parents that we are, we took off a good chunk of time from work just to acclimate him to his new home. When it was time to go back to work we needed the best possible dog walker in our neighborhood who we could rely on to make sure our puppy was walked, fed and properly socialized, since we know how impressionable a young pup can be. Thankfully we were referred to Jason and the GoDoG team and we couldn't be happier. In the beginning we got multiple pictures every day of our pup and some of his first experiences out in the world, which unfortunately we couldn't be there for. Whether it was the discovery of his love of sticks, or even an action shot of Harley raising his leg to pee, the GoDoG team made sure to send us some great and hilarious photos and it was clear that Harley was having the time of his life in all of them. Now that Harley has aged, we've graduated from text messages, to some very amusing notes about Harley's adventures around the neighborhood while on his walks. I swear, we've considered binding all the notes together and making them into a book we could sell. Jason accommodates last minutes walks, and is, simply put, a great guy to know. Harley also has no complaints. The last time we bumped into Jason on the street, Harley was more excited to see him than he ever has been to see us when we come home from work. Jason has been walking our rescue pooch Rusty (a 60 lb. shephard/lab mix) for over five years. He was one of the first people that Rusty met after coming home from the shelter, and the two of them formed an instant, extremely special bond--to this day, Jason is honestly Rusty's #3 fave person in the world after me and my husband, and he goes NUTS when he sees him :) Rusty is a lovebug, but (to put it mildly) he's also an anxious rescue dog with lots of trust issues--through the years though, Jason has been his best bud and someone that we can really depend on. Time and again Jason has gone out of his way to make it to our place to take R-man for a spin (sometimes on extremely short notice), despite the fact that he has a business and a whole crew of dogwalkers to run. We truly wouldn't know what to do without Jason--at this point in time, he's pretty much the only dog walker Rusty will go outside with! Go Dog is .... AWESOME! I found Jason through a friend of a friend. As dog walkers go, it turns out that a solid referral is the first key. Jackson (my best friend yellow labrador) started with Go Dog walks about 2x week. What makes Go Dog an amazing service is the flexibility. I can text Jason first thing in the morning for an extra walk if I know it will be a long work day .... or I can text and cancel a walk if I know that a friend is planning to take Jackson out for a play date. After a few months, Jackson loved the Go Dog team so much that he requested walks 5x week. Go Dog has definitely been an important extension of Jackson's family. They are kind, professional, reliable ... and they support Jackson through all his various needs (for example, slow post surgery walks after a costly removal of a door mat from my sweet labrador's stomach!) I also agree with the other reviews regarding walk pairings: I'm impressed with Jason's efforts to match the dogs' personalities and needs. Again, Go Do is simply AWESOME! read more
