This company came recommended to me through family. In the beginning everything seemed fine, however after the work started communication was non existent ,except when they wanted payment. I paid for work without seeing the completed job as I was out of state. They did send pictures but when I returned to the property there was one tree that was not done as job description. After three tries and weeks of waiting with no return phone calls I have hired another company to remedy the problem. Still waiting on response which never comes. I would stay away for this company if your looking for quality work. They also damaged property that was not mine and although they threw down some sod pieces the work is shoddy at best and I will be fixing that damage as well. Godleys did come out when they said they would, and they did trim a couple of the trees i needed trimming for, however there were two large bush/trees that I asked to just be cut down.. NOT dug out. Well.. they decided to dig them out so they could transplant them on their farm and then sell them to the next consumer. I dont have an issue with that, however I DO have an issue with the gaping hole left from digging it out that they did not even offer to put some soil back there, AND.. they drove their big truck onto my property damaging two main sprinkler heads. To trim 3 palm trees, and cut down two large bushes.. they charged me 499.00 why 499.00 because if they had charged me 500$ I would of been able to use the 25$ off coupon that I had... well played ... well..... played. We called and told them that they damaged our sprinklers and no call back, they didnt even pretend they wanted to help. NOW. . because getting the trim was so expensive, then they cut the cable line, my outdoor lighting line and damaged my sprinkler.. we dont have the money to get the sprinkler fixed and now my grass is pretty nearly dead. i work with many contractors and service people in my business.. unfortunatly i didn't have a good tree person and called Godleys, it was a mistake, and I would caution using this greedy company. I was going to put them on my vendor list to pass on to my clients.. now they are going to go on the list NOT to call.. no way guys... not worth your money and they could give a shit about you. read more

I contracted Godleys for extensive tree and landscape work. They showed up and spent 3 hours on the job. They stated they would return to finish at a later date because of time and because of a bee issue. The job wa supposed to include trimming all the trees, removing a few trees and the stumps, removal of all vines from trees and other landscape. Most of the work was completed to my satisfaction, the crew worked diligently. They did not remove the stumps of cut down 1 tree or finish removing the vines. The lady on the phone agreed to have a crew back today around 1pm and as of 5:45 pm I am s6236606till waiting. It seems they are not as trustworthy as they claim but have no problem demanding payment in full before completing the job. I would recommend the workers who did the actual work but I would not trust the actual owners. I am happy to change my review if or when the work is completed or some of my money is refunded so I can afford to pay someone. To complete the work. read more

Just watched the u tube video of Mark Godley of Godley's Tree Services telling you about his service of removing trees, what he forgot to mention was, if like my tree that his company removed, and regrew as the roots had not been removed properly, the company just ignore any phone calls about rectifying the problem. Godley's Landscaping came to my house to work on a well pump. They did not even ask before installing a new pump and leaving a bill on the door. The pump never worked. The irrigation would not spray more than 25%. They said they have done all they could do and would not return to solve the problem with the brand new system they installed at their discretion - without any permission. They took our old pump and equipment that was superior. I am sure they sold it for more money. They were also hire in previous months to clean and repair sprinkler heads in which they charged a great deal of money....however, when finally taking matters into my own hands and figuring out why the system would not work. #1 When installing the well pump they got PVC shavings in the lines and clogged every sprinkler head. #2 They installed a pump too small for the job. #3 Four out of six irrigation zones were left partially open - so the pump was trying to water 4 zones at once (they never closed the zones properly). When re-cleaning the heads I realized they were never adjusted from the previous work I paid a great deal of money for. They were spraying in wrong directions, one or two were broken even though I had been charged for their replacement. So now I had to re-do all the heads myself that I paid them to do and I have a irrigation pump that does not work. I have spent countless hours now to get things going that they screwed up. When I call Cliff Godley to explain this - he made accusations that were not true and called me stupid. He claimed that I was trying to water two zones at once and other Ludacris information. I told him that is simply not the case. I spent a great deal of time making sure I did not have overlapping water zones. He also claims he did not get PVC shavings in the line, despite the fact that I know personally that is what I got out of the clogged heads. He verbally told me I was stupid and he didn't have to listen to this shit and hung up. The real story is....he knew he messed things up so bad at my house that he didn't know what to do....he threw up his hands and left me holding the bag of crap. They gave a quote, set up a day and time, and then never showed up, never called and never returned my messages. I wasted a day waiting. Very unprofessional! I will never call them and recommend everyone else do the same. High priced and no show????? No brainer, move on. read more

I was given a very high quote by Mark to remove a tree that had fallen during the hurricane. He then called back, said he'd be in the area anyways and gave me a proper quote. He was to be back the next day or first thing the following. I gave him a deposit of $200. Before I could blink, Ace cash express was calling me for information, so they could cash my check for him. I called twice to see when they were coming, as they didn't show up at the scheduled time and I got a woman who hung up on me before I could say anything more than "Mark". He claims he "left his phone in a friends car". Mind you, this is the number that is on the internet as the company phone. They showed up with a small chain saw that had just been purchased, leaving the box in my yard. Cut the tree that was laying down in pieces (My boyfriend had already cut all of the branches off). He asked repeatedly for us to go to the ATM because he wanted to leave with $500 cash, so he didn't have to deal with a check. My BF told him that the agreement was that we were to give him a deposit and he was to get the remainder upon completion. He was so insistent that my BF was afraid he wouldn't leave. He went to the ATM and was able to get $400. He gave that to him along with $100 check which he again cashed immediately. It has now been a month. My entire tree is still laying in my yard. I've already used the money I have and can not afford to pay another tree company. Please DO NOT use them. This is a completely truthful and legitimate review. read more

On April 28, 2018, I contacted Godley's Tree Service, 407-415-5831, to have my five live oak trees trimmed. I used this company in May of 2010 to trim my five trees and remove one tree and they did a outstanding job. So I decided to call them again. Mark Godley came out immediately and gave me a written quote and requested a deposit of $495.00, with the promise that he and his crew would be out to my property on the following Wednesday, May 2, 2018 to complete the work. On Monday, April 30, 2018, I called Mark Godley again and requested that we amend the contract and instead of paying $395.00 to trim the one tree, I would rather have it removed. He again immediately came out and amended the written contract and requested an additional $600.00 to remove the live oak. On that same day he went to my credit union and cashed both checks, totaling to $1,095.00. Today is June 20, 2018 and he has not returned to trim and remove my trees. I call him daily and the calls go straight to voice mail or the voice mail is full. I leave messages but he never returns my calls. He did call one time, on May 24, 2018, to explain that he had been in the hospital and the rain has put him behind on his contracts but he assured me he would take care of my trees. Since then he has had zero contact. I continued to wait in order to give him the benefit of the the doubt. I have since done some internet research and learned that he has several police reports and small claims reports filed against him for doing the same thing to other innocent victims. I also learned that earlier in the year he pawned three of his work trucks, his wood chipper and several chain saws. It appears he no longer has an active business. Check out his criminal history on Orange County Clerk of Courts. My advise is, Keep your money in your pocket and find someone else to do your trees. Godley Tree Service removed my neighbor's tree and parked their trailer and equipment right in front of my home. Their equipment leaked an unbelievable amount of oil. It was more than normal drips after use. Their bobcat left puddles of oil up and down the street and in front of our home. I contacted Godley the day this occurred and they reassured me that someone would come out in the next few days to take care of it. No Godley employees came to clean up or contacted me with any updates. I waited a week until I followed up and the receptionist told me that their clean up guy had been out of town but promised that he would clean it up after his return. It's now been two weeks since the oil spilled. I called Godley's this afternoon, a week since the receptionist had promised me someone would come out, and a different employee answered the phone. He explained that there was nothing their company could do and that the woman that I had spoken to before didn't know what she was talking about. This situation has been very frustrating. I can't imagine the problems that could occur if I hired Godley's to service my trees. I would not hire them or recommend them to my neighbors. read more
