Today, the owner came to my door and told us not to speak to his workers about moving the truck, but to call the number on the truck or the police instead. He insisted they were legally parked and characterized it as a minor inconvenience. However, the sheriff's department told us that blocking a driveway with the truck or the lowered gate is not legal. The owner also questioned why we need to leave every time they are there, which is none of his business. We have places to go, and we should not have to repeatedly deal with a blocked driveway just to come and go from our own home. When we called his behavior gaslighting, he responded by insulting us and saying we were too old to use that word. He also said he would tell his workers to park there, which came across as a threat rather than an attempt to resolve the problem. The entire interaction was unnecessary and unprofessional. Rather than take responsibility for an ongoing issue and work toward a solution, the owner was dismissive, argumentative, and disrespectful. Lawn equipment is going & I'm across the street so naturally I have to raise my voice to be heard.
