These guys are awesome! We had some branches hitting our roof from the neighbors tree. Tree Amigos came out and got them trimmed back without any damage to my or my neighbors property. Do not trust this company! Had a friend with his own equipment go and work on freelance jobs using his saws and pole saw. This man claims he stole but texted he recouped all equipment and still has yet to release the full amount held for work already completed. Owner helped fix his saws as I went to pick one he had serviced for him up. They are not to be trusted they dump illegally and refuse to pay for work they've been paid for by clients. UPDATED REVIEW 10-22-2024 I am returning to revise my original 5 star review from March 2023 to reflect the 1 star service we received this month. We had an incredible experience with Tree Amigos a little over a year ago, but I believe that my high rating no longer reflects this business. [TLDR; unfinished work, hidden bogus fees, no haul-away (paid for), poor customer service] Our quote to trim two large trees was highly inflated from previous years. Of course costs increase with time, this is understood, however, In March 2023 we paid $1,800 for two trees to be trimmed, 1 tree removal, and 1 stump grinding. This year we were quoted $2,800 to only trim the same two trees trimmed in 2023. After expressing reluctance with the offer, the quote was reduced to $2,400. This was helpful, but still a large portion of our family's budget. The crew showed up around 4:30p on a Saturday, trimmed one tree, and left around 6:00p. After waiting a few days, I called to ask about the timeline for the 2nd tree and was told that the the job is complete, but they could send someone to touch up if necessary. They continuously asked for payment from me but I refused to pay until the job was complete. DO NOT PAY TREE AMIGOS UNTIL YOUR JOB IS COMPLETE AND YOU ARE SATISFIED!!! A week later they sent out their crew to trim the 2nd tree, but they did not haul off any of the trimmings, and instead stacked the branches and logs on top of hurricane debris along the entire portion of my from yard where it still remains (see photo). A haul-off fee was charged and paid, so I am disappointed that logs and branches from their work are and have been sitting in our grass. Furthermore, they manually tacked on a $72 bogus "credit card fee" THAT YOU NEED TO ASK TO HAVE REMOVED! Even if you pay by check/Zelle/etc., this fee is added and you must request to have it removed. I am extremely disappointed that the customer service of what used to be a wonderful company appears to have diminished. The actual tree-trimming crew is wonderful. They do beautiful work; however, it is at the cost of working with office staff that put money first and customer satisfaction last. There is nothing worse than a person who talks up a good game especially the owner and then does not follow through with any of their promises to me the customer. This person said that they do all these wonderful services and they really care about their lawn and they really care about the customers and yet I had an appointment with that person today and they stood me up. They didn't answer any of the phone calls or text messages to them. They just didn't answer any further, so for those reasons, I leave them a one star review because Customer Service if you're in this industry should be number one not last if he wasn't gonna make the meeting he should respond to one of the text messages or phone calls or sent me a message that he wasn't gonna make it chose not to that means This guy is not worth the Services and Will always lie. As hurricane Ian was approaching I realized the oak tree above my home would surely have wound up in my living room if I had not done anything. We had 2 palm trees that were 60 feet high in front of our house. We also had a large oak tree in the front that needed a good reshaping. We wanted the palms cut down as the fronds were falling on our house and our neighbor's yards. They came out on Monday for an estimate and came back the next day to do the work. I called Tree Amigos before Hurricane Ian arrived to see if they could remove our Norfolk Pines that were dangerously close to our house, my neighbors house & power lines. Reda responded right away & squeezed us in same day before the hurricane arrived. Although the price was steep due to rush charges & season, I was really appreciative of the work his crew did. They were professional & made sure to take care with the tree removal- no damage was done to the house or power lines. They even cleaned up after themselves. I did have to follow up for the stump removal but they got it done asap. I do recommend using Tree Amigos but make sure to call in the off season for the best rates. I originally gave a much higher review based on response time and price. I am changing that based on what has happened since They were to cut down a tree , grind the stump, and trim another palm tree. They didn't grind the stump, and the tree they trimmed was severely cut back. I let them know the stump wasn't removed, and was told someone would call to make an appointment to do so. No one called. I contacted them again, and received no response at all. In the meantime, the other tree that was butchered is almost dead, assuming based on how they cut it, or equipment not cleaned introducing disease. Called these guys for a quote and received rather quickly. They were out in less than a week and got our trees trimmed to our liking. Interactions were polite and efficient. We found they had missed a tree, but they was quickly remedied the next day without an issue (easy to happen as we asked for work to multiple trees). Still waiting for them to fix my gutter which they damaged when they dropped a huge branch on it. They said they were gonna fix it that day, but this was back in August, it's now mid October. The owner actually took me outside and showed me the damage and said he was gonna get a guy out soon. I keep texting and calling the owner and he keeps telling me that he's been on top of it but can't find his gutter guy or any other that can match it. Need to be careful with falling branches cause a few almost took out my head while I was trying to get inside my house cause they just showed up without telling me when they were coming. Their safety is not good and the job wasn't what I wanted. I asked for then to cut all around roof and instead they did something different. What do you expect for 400$. But I thought I was getting a discount(400$) for the wrong text that I received from the owner about one of his guys having a drug problem. I thought that's why it was 400$. I should said no thanks right at the wrong text but he seemed like a decent fellow, turns out I was wrong. I'm gonna go ahead and take this to the Better Business Bureau, it's been too long and I know when someone is just pulling my chain. One thing he does is what I noticed lots of businesses do now is that they "apologize" and somehow this apology fixes the problem. It doesn't, they just want to show everyone that they're doing something when they're actually not. So keep a lookout for an "apology" from this company. Ps I'll retract this and my complaint to the BBB if they ever fix my gutter. Will keep Yelpers posted. Tree Amigos did a pretty good job but make sure you get the pricing in writing before they start. Reda gave me an initial quote, then half way through the job explained that quote was only for the tree limbs over my property line. He then charged me 30% more for the tree limbs towards my neighbors yard. That should definitely be addressed when giving a quote. Then add insult to injury he added sales tax when he ran my credit card. Every quote from a landscaper I've ever had includes sales tax. There work is good just be careful for the shady business practices. read more

Overall a great job at a very reasonable price. They were fast and effective. Guy who trimmed the oak tree gave me a number of pointers on maintaining the health of the tree and where to cut. Only reason for not giving five stars was that the estimator Reda was trying too hard to sell me additional services. The owner, Reda, came by the day after Christmas, did a thorough job a reviewing what needed to be done and made suggestions about work that would be helpful.
