We came in on Saturday for a late lunch, there were 4 of us. One lady friend got a Johnnys special…read moresub which was good, my other lady friend got a slice of pizza and a salad and her food was good. He and I got Italian food, he got spaghetti and meatballs (Bronx Bomber) and a meatball sub, the meatballs have absolutely no seasoning, the spaghetti is water spaghetti with no seasoning, the lasagna that I got only had flavor because it had ricotta cheese in it. We also ordered the garlic knots which were great and the tomato and mozzarella appetizer which was fabulous. The dinners were just not good. We brought his home so I could add Raos sauce and seasonings to the dinner he had. We paid $80 for the two meals, 2 drinks and 3 appetizers. The waitress was great, timely and very attentive. We did let her know about the food as well in which she apologized. Restaurant is very clean and nice but due to the food I can't say we will return.

They also have some great salads, pasta dishes, and hot wings. The Atmosphere... Cozy, great decor. Kids will love the working model train suspended from the ceiling. The Service... Always quick, plenty of waitresses for the amount of patrons (seating for 75 or so). The Price... You can't go anywhere and get more bang for your buck than here, IMO. My wife and I have eaten here many times for $15, that's two drinks, two mini chef salads, and a small pizza.

Well, the pizza at AJ Moonspin was worth our drive up from Tallahassee! It was so over the top that we drove up again a few weeks later to bring family to try it as well. If you're a fan of sourdough, you will fall in love with the crust at AJ Moonspin. The tart bite of sourdough flavor permeates every bite of their crispy crust. I usually only eat the middles of my pizza slices, and leave the crust on my plate. This time... I ate every last bite. My husband went for classic pizza flavors with the Hunter's Moon , I indulged in lighter fare ordering the Harvest Moon. We should have brought a spare tummy with us because after we devoured the cheese bread, we were ready to roll out to our car. Regardless of the pizza you select, you will be "over the moon". Both of pizzas arrived quickly and well-made. Despite being very busy, the service was outstanding as there was always someone attentive to our needs. We brought our leftovers home with us and enjoyed them again the next day where they were just as good as the dining experience. You always know your food is well prepared when you can reheat it at home and still enjoy it as much as you did during a dine in experience. Helpful hint... Use your air fryer to reheat your pizza slices and the crust will stay crispy. If only the restaurant was closer to home, it would become our new takeout spot. Definitely put AJ Moonspin on your list of pizza joints to try. Your experience will be out of this world!
