On my last visit, the thrill of the hunt of thrifting didn't result in anything fun, unique, or upscale. The Goodwill off Ben Sawyer Blvd. is much easier to peruse, and I've found some neat things there. One convenient perk of this location is parking, as it shares a lot with Harris Teeter and a few other shops, and it's easy to get in and out and back onto Hwy 17.

I was in town visiting a friend and decided to check out the local thrift "haunts".. firstly.. it's soooo dirty! its gross, stinky and uninviting but you push through thinking of the bargins... but wow.. not sure who's pricing these things but dollar store things listed for $3 or more?! ummm NO.. then you get to clothing where they are blanket pricing target/walmart shirts for $6???? I can get those that price when they are new and on sale.. many items on the shelves are broken and just thrown all over. The worst part was check out... when the lady was done charging me I sat there waiting and she looked at me like she was waiting for something and I asked about a bag.. she said we dont do bags.. but you can buy one.. ummm I had just purchased over 15 items of clothing AND 6 ceramic mugs.. I made the comment that they were turning into one of the "for profit" stores and that in all the time I have shopped at goodwill I have NEVER had to provide my own bag.. her snarky little comment was "well you dont have to shop here" at which point I responded "wow! arent you snarkie.. and I dont have donate here any more either" I mean seriously?! WTF?! The goodwill I KNEW was there for the community.. this is NOT the attitude that a company that is supposed to serve the community should be having and this employee should be limited to the backroom where she doesn't interact with people. I hire people and staff big events.. she would have been fired immediately if I witnessed that type of customer service.. and their prices don't serve that community either.. but the sheer attitude of this nasty little woman was shocking.. NEVER again ... if i could give ZERO stars I would

I found lots of treasures for my daughter's home... attached are some items I saw last week. Not sure if they are still around but hoping! In the front entrance is a Huge round glass table that sits on a beautiful piece of cedar drift wood. Check it out!

They are very selective; looking for items that they know will sell quickly and are in good condition. This means they don't take everything that you may have to offer. It also means their showroom turns over rapidly And items are priced to sell. Overall, an interesting place to visit if you are looking to add furnishings.

I hate to even leave a review saying this, considering I am still wanting to find some specific pieces for my house and I don't want other people getting there before me and taking what I'm looking for, but I should not be a gatekeeper. I love the furniture and other variety of items (lighting fixtures, televisions, computer monitors) that they have available. Most items appear to be in pretty good quality. It seems like if you are a seller this would also be a good place. I think I saw signs talking about how they will come pick up the furniture from your home in one of their large trucks. Having needed to do something like that before, I can tell you that's a pretty good option to have. This is easily my favorite furniture consignment shopping in Mount Pleasant. And definitely top three of all time. I have never purchased anything from here so that may be a different story when J do, but check back at some point, I'm sure that will change.
