So happy we stopped in here! This has to be the best game store I've ever been to. The decor alone was worth the visit but they had everything you could possibly want. My family and I would shop here more often if the Staff were friendlier. We never know if we'll have positive or negative treatment by the person at the register. Today my daughter and I went in for her to pick out a birthday gift for herself. The young woman at the register, Jupiter, was very rude to us. My daughter chose a pack of Lorcana cards and I was looking at the earrings, but Jupiter was huffing and puffing impatiently since she had rung up the cards and wanted to finish the transaction. I asked her a question about the earrings that were on the counter and she snapped that she didn't know and that I should just look at them to figure it out. As i kept looking at them for less than 15 seconds, she slammed her hand on the counter and abruptly turned around to do something else. When I picked out the earrings to buy, she snapped, "Is that it now?" I asked for her name which she barked it at me while asking my name in the same confrontational way. I maintained being friendly to her, mainly to spare my daughter, (she's a sensitive adult with special needs.) As we walked out, Jupiter tried to cover her tracks by thanking us and wishing my daughter a happy birthday, but the damage was done. My daughter said she doesn't want to go back in there if Jupiter is there. This isn't the first time the Staff has been rude, and while we've also been greeted by friendly workers, the negative treatment has happened often enough that it's clear that half of the Staff needs to take a refresher course in basic customer service. read more

This is an excellent store for board games, collectable card games, right books, and general cool nerdy stuff. This is the orginal and smaller of the two locations. They have a great selection, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Thier prices are reasonable. Do note: They don't sell individual MTG cards, and they don't sell entire boxes of booster packs. read more

My daughter was hunting around for Pokemon cards in Petaluma, Rohnert Park, and Cotati. I went onto Google to see if anyone carried them near us at about 6pm this past Saturday, 02/08/25, and it showed that Goblin Bros., carried them and that it showed it was just updated that day to say they had some. So after we left Cotati we headed straight to Goblin Bros., in Petaluma. Unfortunately, they didn't have any but the employee who was working said if anyone had any it would be the store located a about 8 shops down from where we were so off we went. While in Goblin Bros., we noticed they had tons of different trading cards, games, posters, figurines, etc. This is definitely a store you can take care of getting several gifts at one time. read more

An absolute gem for gamers. The selection is massive, covering everything from brand-new releases to an impressive pre-owned section where you can score hard-to-find titles (rehomed 3 games!). The staff knows their inventory inside and out, so they're great at steering you toward something you'll actually enjoy. And then there's the free popcorn while you browse -- a small thing, but it makes the whole experience more relaxed and fun. Goblin Bros is awesome! The staff (particularly the gentleman working the front today) are very warm and welcoming, and their customer service sealed the five-star review from me. The area with the barstools, where you can sit and have rules and games explained to you, is a nice touch. They have an excellent selection- almost any board game I could think of was present and accounted for. They also have a good selection of card games and RPGs- be sure to check out their mega D&D section in the back! They also have many dice, puzzles, manga-related plushies, magnets, figurines, and paint for RPGs, snacks, and more! I was amazed by the sheer volume of the selection they could pack into a relatively small store without feeling chaotic or disorganized! They host free gaming events and fundraisers to support local charities, which is lovely. I will certainly be back to buy gifts for my friends and family. :) read more

It's downtown Petaluma so parking is always a pickle. The shop is clean, very easy to get around. The attendant was very friendly and helpful. They had so many things I feel like I missed things. Lots of single dice and sets, lots of pins of a wide variety. Nothing vulgar which is nice. Lots of board games to infuse family game night with. they even have a prim and proper library area in the back with lots of stories to choose from. In my wondering around I found a snack alcove that had "mythical" creature jerky and various sweets. at least downtown has something now for both my kids. daughter loves books (copperfields across the street) and now Goblin for the boy. read more

Such a fun store! I loved their layout and insane variety of games, cards, and collectibles. They had a great stock and a fun dice claw machine. The staff was nice and had a lot of knowledge on the new pack of trading cards I was purchasing. I don't enjoy leaving bad reviews, but I do it when necessary. I bought a game here months ago that has a defect that makes playing it very difficult. This is a production error, its not on the shop itself. After talking with Asmodee and finding out that they no longer send out replacement parts, I was told to go back to the place of purchase, let them know that there is an issue with the game and they can RMA it. No problem. I let Goblin Bros know and they said they'd get back to me. They claimed that it was taking a long time due to Asmodee not getting back to them, which I suspect is a lie considering I discussed this issue with Asmodee three separate times and each time they got back to me extremely quickly. Every time Goblin Bros would send me an email asking a question, I would respond and it would take them weeks to get back to me. This all should have been handled in a matter of days because it's that simple of a process. I don't really appreciate being pushed off and lied to constantly, especially when I could've ordered my games through plenty of online stores cheaper than getting them here. I did it to support a local business, not get jerked around. The last email I got was over a month ago and it asked for details about when I purchased the game. I responded same day and hey, big surprise, never got another reply. I first emailed them about this back in July. This level of piss-poor customer service is unacceptable. As an avid board game collector, I'm taking my business elsewhere and I'll recommend friends in the hobby to do the same. read more

I placed a preorder back on April 10th and was charged for the product. I received an email today that my order was cancelled and refunded and the reason was that they sold too many. I received no other information as to how they decided who will receive their product and who will not. I went in to Goblin Bros on a whim one day since I work in town and I swear I have never looked back. They have a wide range of games for all ages and some great nerdy jewelry. I practically have a ring for every finger now from their bowls of rings! I especially love the cute sparkly spinner rings they have. The staff are also super welcoming and kind. I put my name in for a specific pin when they get more of them in, and though they haven't had more in yet the staff is super helpful and communicative. This is not that kind of place! Goblin Bros is a gaming store that's head and shoulders above the rest with professional presentation of their products, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and an amazing selection of all sorts of products! I walked in on a Wednesday to order a board game. Max Genovese and another man sat behind the counter chatting, I asked if they had my game, no, he'd order it from the Santa Rosa store. He said it would likely be in on Friday, the day I needed it. He called Santa Rosa as I was leaving. Friday I called, Kevin answered the phone (10/11/24) said it wasn't in, he'd check in awhile with the Santa Rosa store and would call me back (eventually). I thought I'd be waiting for Christmas before I heard back from Kevin so I called Santa Rosa. The woman answering the phone said the order was screwed up and she'd order it for me, NOPE, I bought it at Target for $2.00 dollars less. Service was in the level of incompetence, how hard could it have been to order one board game? Won't ever look for games there again. Owner, I'd get some employees that look (at least) like they know what they're doing, AND, actually do. read more
