I've lived in League City for 20 years. I've used Goan Locksmith on a few occasions during that period. Thankfully, I've never been forced call them because I was locked out. However, I have been to their location multiple times for services. I've used for hard-to-find duplicate keys. However, the most common thing I've used them for is to re-key the locks on my home or to get them to re-key a new lock so it will match the rest of my house. However, any reputable locksmith can do that. What makes Goen special is their customer service. On Saturdays, they close at noon. I called them at 11:50 and told them I needed two locks re-keyed and asked if he could do them if I could get there. Daniel told me to "C'mon." Due to traffic, I got there at straight up noon. He had stayed open and waited. In 10 minutes, I was out the door with two matches locks. This type of customer service is why I keep coming back. I encourage you to shop small. Develop relationships with your small business owner. They need the business but in turn, will go the extra mile for you. Bottom line - Fantastic local business with excellent customer service. These folks could not be more helpful if they tried! I had a lock box / safe with a key to it in which I store my medication. I hid the key so well I could not find it. For no cost, they were able to get me into that box 2 days before I ran out of medication. Today I needed to have a tumbler rekeyed for a house that I will be listing for sale and again, they were extremely helpful and at an exceptionally fair price. I cannot recommend them more highly. I took 2 key fobs for my 2014 Dodge Grand caravan in to get programed telling him I was doing it because I needed all the buttons to work since my current remote buttons stopped working. He took all of 5 minutes to do them. Told me they both would start the car but only the buttons on one fob worked. i thought maybe I had gotten a faulty fob okay no problem. What he didn't tell me was that only the lock and unlock buttons on the one fob worked, that the side door and hatch buttons didn't work, which he later admitted he never even bothered to try them. He charged me full price, didn't offer a discount and when I called back after realizing that the buttons weren't all working like he claimed to see if I could come back in to have him try and get them to work he flat out refused to even try again saying he couldn't guarantee anything and hung up on me. There was also only a credit card receipt no work order or service order to show me exactly what I was paying for. read more

I've used Goan Locksmith twice and have both times been very impressed with their competency and professionalism. The first time, they came to change the locks on my house, and they showed up on time, quickly changed the locks and made new keys, and were very courteous. The second time, I took a car key blank to them to be cut and programmed. It took a while, but for a fraction of the cost of going to the dealership, I had a new, working key and remote. I've used this company several times in the past few years, and have always had fast efficient service. Mostly for properties, but a year ago I had lost the trunk key to my 1977 classic Cougar(they didn't have too many trunk release levers in cars and cars used to have a separate ignition/trunk key). I explained the situation to the office person and although he said it was no problem I was skeptical. The guy came in 20 minutes, does his thing and despite the age gave me a round headed key just like the other, and made a spare for no extra charge. He came back into the house and noticed I was watching a broadcast of the 83 world series, made a witty (appreciated) comment and we settled up. Called up this business today for a possible job and a person named Drew answered the phone. I explained my situation and he acted like they didn't want the business. He stated that it was going to be very expensive. He then asked where the car was and I started to give them the address and he got upset yelling saying "no where is the car". I stated its in front of my home, and again he got upset and stated "WHERE IS THE CAR!" I explained that I was giving him the address of the location and he said "I don't have a GPS in front of me that won't do me any good". I was confused as to what more I could give him other then the address and stating it was my home. At this point I could tell me he was very aggervated and he said "whats the subdivision". I stated the home is not in a sanctioned subdivision and that the area was rural. He said "I don't believe you". At this point I can tell they didn't want my business and to treat potiental customers this way is not good for business and its an indication of the quality of service they provide. I asked what time they closed and he said in a few minutes and won't be back until tomorrow, thus telling me their was no way they wanted my business.
