However I stayed here because the hotel pricing over at the exhibition center Ex Cel was very very high. Easily 120 pounds more then staying here. A 27 pound Uber ride meant staying here was more than a bargain. The food was good the bartenders great and pricing much lower than at the show center. My room was large with a real king bed. The staff here is great and they were always ready will and able to help. If I am ever back in the area or doing another show at Excel I will be here!

Bedroom was large but bathroom shower really needed repair and had cracks (no photos as our alarm didn't go off and we rushed out). Had drinks at the bar which was nice. You can walk to town easily and enjoy shopping and food.

NOT at easy as it looks, let me tell you. I have never been so sore in my entire life, but it sure is a really unique way to work out and have fun/try something new. They offer static and flying trapeze, tumbling, silks, Chinese pole, hoops... pretty much anything you'd see at Cirque du Soliel or the like.The instructors (mine was named Katie, though I am admittedly biased towards other Katies...) were really sweet and patient. But yea, if you're not in pretty darn good shape.... good luck with this. The only downside is more a personal one, in that it is far from where I live. But it is a great space, with great staff, and I definitely recommend trying it out! Mostly other young (as in 20-35ish) fun people in my classes. Small class, too, all levels, but only like 3-5 people for 1 instructor.

There are not so many nice places where you can go and have great food in a nice location in Eltham. So I thought this place will make a difference for Eltham. I was wrong. It's such a nice location in a park with a nice outside area, so I am dissapointed that it isn't used better. I was quite shocked when we saw the food menue: 5 sorts of baguettes with chips and salad for 5 Pounds. That's all. We went there 2 days after they re-opened. Wow, the service has room for improvement, to say it nicely. The barrista had to asked me 4 times what I want to order. They told us that the baguettes are sold out but that they offer sandwiches instead. Sandwiches for 5 Pounds! We got a refund at the end but anyway if you just offer baguettes you should make sure that you have enough of them. We had to wait for ages till we got everything and the quality was poor. I am not a salty eater, but even I had to add salt to my food. There were several guests in a wheelchair when we were there. The manager told one of the guests that they don't have disabled facilities. How can this be when they refurbished everything? Because it was two days after they opened I gave them 2 stars, otherwise it would be one. I will try them in another six month. I hope their service has improved by then. Otherwise, I am sure, there will be a new owner again.

The menu was full of tempting dishes, there was a huge slab of cow on the specials which we decided to share between the four of us. As it was so huge we skipped starters. This was a bad move because the cow took well over an hour to show up. We asked after it a few times, and were told it was coming in a way that gave us no confidence whatsoever. The staff were friendly but slightly devious in this way. When the food arrived, it was worth the wait. Really worth the wait. Beautifully cooked. Desserts were similarly excellent, as was the wine. The hall was all what remained of a Royal palace. But its foundations have been partly excavated and exposed for public viewing in the magnificent gardens. They have beautiful gardens to stroll in as well. If you can appreciate vintage/antique Art Deco architecture you'll enjoy walking around this palace. They also have a tea room at the end of the walk which we enjoyed a pot of tea and a slice of maple walnut coffee cake. Very good.
