Updated Review - June 2026…read more I am updating my previous five-star review from August 2025 because my experience on June 19, 2026 was dramatically different. As a widow and parent of a medically fragile daughter, I chose this company specifically because of the excellent service I received last year. This time, the crew worked for approximately five hours with no complaints. The lead driver performed a walkthrough, used my bathroom, and the team packed and loaded belongings without raising any concerns about the condition of the home. Everything changed when it came time to move our stacked washer and dryer unit (329 lbs). Suddenly, the lead driver claimed the apartment was so filthy it was making him sick and they could no longer continue. This was the first time any issue was mentioned. Two days prior, maintenance workers had been in the same apartment and specifically commented on how clean it was. I was left with furniture, beds, and belongings still in the old apartment while the crew stopped for about an hour before disappearing. I had to scramble to figure out what happened to my possessions. Since arriving at the new place, we have also discovered multiple damaged items (couch, end table, broken patio chair, etc.) that were not damaged prior to the move. This experience was incredibly stressful and disappointing. I have no problem leaving glowing feedback when a company performs well -- I did so previously. Unfortunately, this move fell far short of the professional service I expected and paid for. I would not recommend or use this company again. And they still charged me $825 for half a move. --------------- Previous review from August 2025: I cannot say enough nice things about Ethan, Patrick and Chrisean who helped me and my daughter move. We could NOT have done it without them. That's the truth. They were the nicest guys and so efficient. But you have to go with your own intuition when you communicate with them. These folks seem as if the are working from home when you call...I called multiple local movers and they all sound the as if the share the same number. 65.00 up front deposit for scheduling, which is suppose to go to your balance of priced quoted. They price quoted me w/two men 125.00/hr. In totaling, 340.20 estimated for a two hour window. From my storage unit, a 10x15, moving into a 1 bedroom apartment with a second floor unit. I was satisfied with the price quote but not paying upfront. Seemed sketchy at first but went with my gut, then they sent the invoice Estimations, (hourly, deposit, and total). I felt comfortable after seeing that within 5 minutes. Remember this is a local small company. I had a schedule move for 6/1/26 and then when I called by 9ish to confirm because I didn't received a call at all on the day that morning before 10am. When I finally spoke to someone they told my move from 10-12, they would have to move it to afternoon, like around 2ish. He said the work load before my schedule was going to push my time later, or we can do it the next morning Tuesday guaranteed. I WAS FRUSTRATED NOW, cause my time is money, and I wanted that Monday window. So I agreed on Tuesday from no other options. So I literally went to Walmart to shop, and had my mine on Tuedsay now, and like 15 minutes later the driver called me saying he'll be there early 10am. (That change so Dang quick). I had to almost quit my shopping to try to meet the driver at my storage now. Breaking my neck now. SMH. So I finished my light shopping and was not going to be rushed for their changes that quick. Met at my storage lot and explain everything from my end and the two men made up for this unpredictable morning. The moved fast and I didn't have much but bedroom furniture and living room furniture. Enough to be charge for 125.00/hr plus 75.00 maybe half the other hour. At least under 2 hours estimated. So we get over to my place, and explain the layout of my rooms for the move. They moved fast again. And the driver even told me and myself looking at it, knowing it was going to be under two hours as he stated and I seen it too. Move was almost done...the driver thereafter said his Bossman was going to call me to pay the remaining balance over the phone. I got a call, not from the business line, but another number. Conversation started and Bossman said sir the balance is gonna be 270.00. My take on that, I fell less than 2 hours. But they still kept it at the 2-hour mark, even though it was an hour in a 1/2. I knew my move was 5 minutes to get from the storage and my furniture was a less than 2 hours move. Driver knew it and said it. That part...I didn't agree on with Bossman. But now my take on this moving company, just from my experience...Pros, move fast and will accommodate customer during moving. Cons, don't honor less if lesser time than what is quoted. And not consistent and considering customer schedule appointment. For the most part the movers are hard working and it showed that day. I think one guy told my he was a football player but out for the summer from college. Seems they hire anyone looking for work, long as they are willing to work. Moreless not a big moving company, but more like your average guys looking to find work and pay. I would recommend them over those bigger companies, but it's unpredictable on your time again Hit and Miss.

I interviewed about 6 moving companies and right away from talking with Abner I felt comfortable. Other moving companies were very persistent, trying to sell me, and seemed dishonest. Abner was very responsive and straight forward but did not contact me again after initial quote until I decided to go with him. He garunteed pick up date and arrival date (and time and was 10 minutes early each time!) which was huge for us as our move had to be very scheduled and other companies quoted us a 2 week interval (or more!) of when our items would be delivered. His crew in Houston arrived and packed our entire apartment, included disassembling basic items. They were extremely professional and efficient. Every item even valuable and breakable items arrived in perfect condition. He met us in San Fransisco 5 days later and him and two others unloaded all our boxes and assembled any dissassembled items. Again very professional and efficient. Iron back movers turned what could have been a very stressful move into 0 stress. Abner was extremely hardworking, professional, and easy to work with as was every member of his team. We hope we can use him for any future moves even though we are no longer in Houston!

We scheduled the moving date, signed a contract, and were ready to go! On moving day, the movers arrived promptly and they were so quick in moving everything! within two hours everything had been moved out of our townhome! It took them another hour and a half to move everything to the new place. Very impressed! They also wrapped certain pieces of furniture for us and disassembled as well as assembled others. Cost was reasonable as well. I would say they are more cost efficient compared to other movers we had inquired.
