We just had the worst experience with Go Play. We took our Golden Doodle to get groomed here for the first time because Go Play is closer to our home than the place we usually use. We have had this dog for a year and a half, having been groomed every 6-8 weeks for that entire time, never having an issue. However, Go Play went from a $60 quote, to charging us over $100, having shaved our dog down without consulting with us beforehand, and left the hair around his face and snout much longer, which is one of the main reason for getting groomed because the hair covers his eyes. The hair left around his face was also unbrushed... The other reason for getting groomed being the hair around his booty hole, which was also left long. The groomer also told us he nicked him, drawing blood, and one of the reasons charged us more was multiple people had to hold our dog down to be shaved, and recommended getting him sedated at a vet for future hair cuts... Believe me, I understand golden doodles are large, energetic dogs, with hard to manage hair--we've had this dog for over a year. However, our issue arises from NEVER having had such issues like this in over year. Clearly, they don't know how to handle dogs and don't know how to groom them... And should our dog have been so unruly, it was because he obviously did not feel comfortable being groomed by someone who thinks he should be sedated. DO NOT GO HERE. We learned the hard way that our normal groomer is worth the drive. Additionally, after leaving this review on Facebook we received attitude and harassment. A woman who works there also messaged me from her personal account with the same type of comments included in the attached screenshot message from Go Play (I'm assuming the same person running the business page, but idk for sure)... since my husband dropped the dog off, and not me, she's basically blaming him for being stupid and not communicating and saying next time I need to go myself, suggesting we don't know how to care for our dog and that Karma will get me for lying and bashing a small business on Facebook. Which is maybe a decent rationalization, but my husband is who called me pissed about how the place was about communicating with him about the hair cut and the price.... we're not mad he had to be shaved in the first place. We get that doodles have hard-to-manage hair. And we also understand adding fees when necessary with proper communication before moving forward. We're mad that we didn't know about either before it was time to cash out, and they did a real shabby job and have a bad attitude on top of that...And now instead of taking criticism in a review and trying to see what they can do to fix it, they're attacking us as customers. I'm honestly just so upset we subjected our dog to these people. Never again.

We updated all her shots, brought her bed, and food like they asked (What a hassle it was to get it all back not even an hour later because their "teenager" employees could not handle her ) They were scared to even let her out of her cage. Very unprofessional. Unacceptable from a dog sitting service and even a DOG TRAINING SERVICE!?!? Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. These guys are incompetent to say the least Edit: These guys are something else. Very wacky owners. They blasted me on Their Facebook page and now they have dozens of people attacking the character of me and my parents in the comments after deleting my review. My family is going through a very hard time right now and we looked at unleashed to be our community service organization that would help support us. Rather these guys are pure evil. Not only do they call our dogs aggressive when they are actually disabled, they sent an angry FB mob after me for no other reason than the owner is upset at a bad review. NOW THEY ARE THREATENING TO HAVE ME ARRESTED FOR A 1 STAR REVIEW. She deleted my previous review from google for some reason but kept the review that were driven from her FB friends seeing her post asking for 5 star review. Fair warning, never do business (or any kind of engagement at all for that matter) with these untrained people. This owner is quite literally a crazy person. Wow! My one star review still stands more than ever: Untrained unprofessional staff who label dogs with disabilities aggressive rather than admitting you dont have the training to handle them. Plus the hassel they made us go through just getting the dogs in the door was excessive especially to have to come pick everything back up not even 30 min later.

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR BABY! I am convinced…read morethese people tried to kill my dog. I am just now getting to writing this review because I was a little intimidated because of all the good reviews and the fact that they were recommended to me by my vet. I dropped my dog off and paid the first half upfront. He was supposed to be there 7 weeks, I think, I can't remember exactly because this happened a little over a year ago. Luckily, 2 weeks in he had a scheduled vet appointment that I had let the wife know about at the time of drop off. I stayed in contact with her over the 2 weeks because I missed my baby! She assured me he was good. When I picked him up for his vet appointment, I was coming down the long drive way after they opened the gate and I was on the phone with my mom. I could see him from far back and I told my mom that even from that distance he looks like he's lost a lot of weight. I was instantly worried. They had a rope tied around his neck, no leash no collar just an old rope. When he saw my car coming, he was so happy. He was literally jumping for joy like he knew I was coming to SAVE HIM! I pulled up and told my mother he has absolutely lost weight and I got off the phone and immediately got out to check on him. He was panting so hard, he was so out of breath. But they smell coming from his mouth was like the smell of death. It literally smelled like something crawled in the back of his throat and died there. His nose was all scratched up and I could see every bone in his torso. When I dropped him off, he was a thick healthy boy. He was so happy to see me and Josh, who still had him by the rope was pulling on the rope telling him to get down because he was jumping on me and my car. But he knew was being RESCUED! I took the rope and put him in mar car. Josh told me to bring him back immediately after his vet appointment but I knew when I got in my car and shut the door, my boy was never going back to those people. He got in the back seat and laid down. He did not move the whole car ride.. which is unlike him. He always very happy to go for rides. He was EXHAUSTED. He had literally been fighting for his life. I took him to the vet and in that 2 weeks, he had lost 14lbs. They deprive these dogs of food and water to "train" them. If a dog doesn't behave the way they want them to, they take away access to food and water. My boy was a very active, very happy, easily excited pitbull. But when he came home with me, he was not the same dog. He laid around almost 2 weeks. He didn't run, he didn't play, he acted like my other dog, whom he loves very much, wasn't even there. He wouldn't go in his kennel on his own. As soon as I got home with him he went straight to his water bowl and drank water until he threw up. I cried and blamed myself for 2 weeks, scared to death I wasn't going to get my boy back... that I had come home with a completely different dog. He was traumatized. Thankfully, he did eventually start to come back around, and he is back to himself! A couple of hours after his vet appointment, Josh's wife was calling me and texting me asking when I was going to bring Juice back. I mentioned to her that he had lost a lot of weight and she said it was normal for dogs to lose weight during training. I had already discussed with his vet that 14lbs in 2 weeks is not normal and is concerning. She text me again and I told her Juice would not be returning. I didn't even ask for a refund of my $750, I think it was? Because I was just so happy to have my dog back and he was alive. Looking back now, I wish I had demanded my money back. And I wish I had thrown a lot big enough that all of baldwin county knew not to take their dogs here. But please do not take your babies here. These people are evil and unprofessional.
