*DOG OWNERS BEWARE! * WOW reading other reviews, there seems to be a lot of injuries not communicated to owners!! I had Go Play board my dog for 10 days. When I picked him up, he had this huge gash just above his eye. No one called to tell me about it. When I got him home, I noticed his eyes were gooey and looked infected. I was worried he had a corneal abrasion. I took him to the vet the next day. He had bilateral eye infections, bilateral ear infections, an infection under his chin and the vet treated his gash above the eye. Not to mention he lost NINE pounds!! He also slept for 12 hours straight. He seemed traumatized. $171 vet bill. He has been to different camps for even longer periods of time, and I have never experienced this mistreatment of my dog. I tried calling the owner Holly, but she was out of town I was told. We did communicate via email, and she agreed to pay $65 for part of the vet bill. She said the infections were not from her facility. It is conjunctivitis! Its highly contagious! Of course, it was from them. Holly should have communicated what was going on with my dog. The infection in the eyes was obvious. They wiped his eyes when I got there. Holly, you need to communicate with the owners better. See the pictures attached. What a great doggie day care! We started taking our puppy here when he was about 3 months old. We go a few different days a week. This really helps get his energy out and gives him something to do while I am at work. Helps him be socialized so he doesn't get over excited around other dogs and people when we travel. All the staff is super nice and great him by name when we arrive. They also offer a quick clean service or a full bath option also. The dogs play indoor and outdoor so they can get dirty. If you let them know you want a bath and the time you will pick him up- they will have them bathed and ready. read more

We just had the worst experience with Go Play. We took our Golden Doodle to get groomed here for the first time because Go Play is closer to our home than the place we usually use. We have had this dog for a year and a half, having been groomed every 6-8 weeks for that entire time, never having an issue. However, Go Play went from a $60 quote, to charging us over $100, having shaved our dog down without consulting with us beforehand, and left the hair around his face and snout much longer, which is one of the main reason for getting groomed because the hair covers his eyes. The hair left around his face was also unbrushed... The other reason for getting groomed being the hair around his booty hole, which was also left long. The groomer also told us he nicked him, drawing blood, and one of the reasons charged us more was multiple people had to hold our dog down to be shaved, and recommended getting him sedated at a vet for future hair cuts... Believe me, I understand golden doodles are large, energetic dogs, with hard to manage hair--we've had this dog for over a year. However, our issue arises from NEVER having had such issues like this in over year. Clearly, they don't know how to handle dogs and don't know how to groom them... And should our dog have been so unruly, it was because he obviously did not feel comfortable being groomed by someone who thinks he should be sedated. DO NOT GO HERE. We learned the hard way that our normal groomer is worth the drive. Additionally, after leaving this review on Facebook we received attitude and harassment. A woman who works there also messaged me from her personal account with the same type of comments included in the attached screenshot message from Go Play (I'm assuming the same person running the business page, but idk for sure)... since my husband dropped the dog off, and not me, she's basically blaming him for being stupid and not communicating and saying next time I need to go myself, suggesting we don't know how to care for our dog and that Karma will get me for lying and bashing a small business on Facebook. Which is maybe a decent rationalization, but my husband is who called me pissed about how the place was about communicating with him about the hair cut and the price.... we're not mad he had to be shaved in the first place. We get that doodles have hard-to-manage hair. And we also understand adding fees when necessary with proper communication before moving forward. We're mad that we didn't know about either before it was time to cash out, and they did a real shabby job and have a bad attitude on top of that...And now instead of taking criticism in a review and trying to see what they can do to fix it, they're attacking us as customers. I'm honestly just so upset we subjected our dog to these people. Never again. read more

I called Brad after a friend saw Go Play Pets on Angie's list. He called back a few hours later, was very nice. I explained that I would be out of town for 1 night and wanted my 3 cats fed on the back porch the morning we would be gone. He agreed to do this, told me his fee and where to leave his check. I inquired what time they would be fed. He asked me when I usually fed them. I replied between 6 & 7 am. He said he would do this, no problem. I left town feeling confident that cats would be fed in my absence. Well, I returned home today at 2:30 pm. Cat bowls empty. Cats very hungry. All food I left for Brad and his check still where I left them in the box on back porch. I fed cats. I tore check up. I called Brad & left message for him to call me. An hour later, he was on my back porch, opening the box where I said I left the food and his check. I told him I had already torn up his check. He said "I thought you were out of town today." I told him that I was out of town, but already returned. I had been home, fed cats, called him, unpacked, been to the grocery and was changing clothes when he arrived. Rather than return my call, he drove here, perhaps to feed cats, collect his check and THEN call me to tell me he had done as we agreed. Bottom line- I won't trust him again. read more

I had a terrible experience. Unprofessional, unorganized and poor communication. My dog ended up getting a terrible GI bug there that he then gave to our other dogs that had not boarded there. Ended up having to pay for vet visits, special diets, meds, carpet cleaning!! After this experience I will never board ever again! read more

I take my dog to daycare 4 days a week and use them for boarding as needed. I really appreciate how much the staff have gotten to know my dog and have grown to love him. I can't speak to the at home services but I know that Brad is no longer the owner. I'm very happy with the service and the grooming there. My only two complaints are the high price for boarding (it'd be nice if the daycare boarders got a discount or some kind of perk!), and the fact that you cannot drop off for daycare before 7:00 a.m., 6:30 would be better for a lot of us who have work responsibilities that start at 7. read more

My dog has very sensitive skin...so we always did a "soap free" bath, toenails adenoids. Last time the price jumped to $27 with a $5 coupon...it was always $20 before w/o coupon....they didn't cut her nails on 2 of her feet...used regular shampoo...her hair fell out in patches...,when I called to speak to them about this as I had sent my teenager to pick her up I was told on the phone "If I didn't like what they did...I could do it myself". These people don't care about customer service so you know they don't care about your dog that can"t speak for itself. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET!!! read more

I had used Brad a couple of times but the last time we came home earlier than expected to find our house unlocked and the alarm off! We had him come 3 times a day to let the dogs out and clean the cat box. The cat box had been cleaned 2 times out of 6 days and was in my kitchen trash(nice smell) and the last day not cleaned at all and they should have been here 2 times! When I talked to Brad he gave me a 20 percent discount and hoped we could still do business. I think not!! I shouldn't have paid him at all. He sent someone else to my house, not him. Our dog was there for about two weeks and when we picked her up she was chewed up and had not been bathed like we contracted for. This was the third time she was at this facility, second time she came with kennel cough and the third time vet bill was for $150 to cover kennel cough and dog bites. Never again. read more
