Not good. Meat tasted like dog food, actually I might feed my dogs even better quality meat. I paid extra for tomato and lettuce, both of which were barely existent. Super greasy and not satisfying at all. My order was also missing a bottle of water which was highly disappointing. I had really high hopes for this place and was looking forward to trying it out. As a suburban Philly transplant of some two dozen years ago -- I'm always searching the greater NW for worthwhile wings.. Wings.. WINGS. The options are rather bleak. [And, don't even get me started on the injected abominations from that nasty BWW chain.] Enter: Go Philly. Just found this place several months ago .. and I've come back every two weeks since. The wings are perfect sized, perfectly fried. The garlic parmesan sauce is insanely addictive. [I did try the lemon pepper at one point - which I did not like.] Still need to try their standard buffalo / hot sauce. Bonus points for the quality cheesesteaks too. There are quite a few restaurants in the area that have perfected this Philly staple, and the offerings here hold their own. Notes: you can order via phone call; on their website; or for delivery. They have a drive-up window that always has one or more cars queued up. This place is not exactly a hidden gem of Tacoma ... so be aware that orders can take around 30 minutes to complete. read more

Cheesesteak and hot pastrami are good but at $11-12 a sandwich + $4 for a side of fries (and a few more $$ for a drink if you're thirsty) you're looking at $20 for lunch. If you go during lunch expect a slight wait as they're taking orders for both inside and drive thru at the same time (AND takeout/Uber orders coming through as well). But they are cranking it out and will get your order up hot and in a decent amount of time. Not a lot of room inside so once you order and are waiting you have to stand right in front/next to people eating at the 2 Person tables inside. Still a good lunch but definitely not a cheap eat. The food has always been great. The service generally good including up until we left. Yesterday was way off. We asked to use the restroom and we're told they didn't have a public restroom. As we were leaving the person who told me we couldn't use the restroom was opening it for another guest. What was it about me/us that we were not good enough to use the restroom? I was told that I had to walk to a bar down the street. They didn't see that I was handicapped and that wasn't an easy option. The person being let into the bathroom was younger and mobility wasn't an issue as they arrived on motorcycles. My father taught me at an early age how you treat everyone the same. This is my lesson to the person who profiled us as something less than others, that by the way were equally nice people. read more

My co-worker who is a Philly native, born and raised, brought me here for lunch after raving about it many times. The owner is also a Philly native, which gives it a kind of legitimacy that you don't get at subway, Jersey Mikes, or other sandwich places who serve cheesesteak. The Go Philly cheesesteak was amazing! At about a foot long...soft, fluffy bread, with just the lightest crust on the outside, not too thick so there was a great meat to bread ratio. Way more meat than bread! The meat is the star and it has the perfect backup posse of onions, peppers, mushrooms, cheese, etc, depending on what you order on the sandwich. I got the works so it had all of the above and there was still way more meat than accessories. If anything, it could have used extra cheese, a mistake of mine I will correct when I come back for another. The cheesesteak was a perfect "goldilocks" of juiciness...not too dry or too greasy....just right! And the fries...my god the fries! Thick cut, with a great crispy bite on the outside, pillowy soft potato on the inside, with a nice sprinkle of salt in every bite. No soggy unsalted fries here! The cherry on top was eating outside on a beautiful sunny day. It was the perfect lunch. Too bad I had to go back to work...felt like I was nine months pregnant with my cute little "food-baby"! Haha. If you came with a friend, you could easily split a full sized cheesesteak and fries and leave full and satisfied. This place deserves your business. I am hooked. Great job Go Philly! read more

Go Philly has outstanding cheesesteaks. There are several varieties from which to choose, along with just as many varieties of french fries, which is a nice bonus. The young woman at the counter was very friendly and a hard worker--when she wasn't taking orders or serving food, she stayed busy keeping the place clean. Man, talk about a good sub!! This is the second time I got a sub from here and both times I was blown away! Great potion sizes. I got a steak philly the first time and just tried the Teriyaki and IT WAS BANGING! Whew, glad I don't live too close or I'd be spending all my $$$ there! They are usually really busy and do most of their business in walk in or pick-up, so if you're calling in give em like 15-20 minutes. It's worth the wait though!! I'd definitely recommend the teriyaki sub, and they have a ton of sides with a good variety you won't find at other places. Prices are a bit high for just a sub, but you won't go broke and they don't skimp on the steak, that's for sure. Fast, hot delicious food and good owners. The sandwiches are phenomenally tasty at Go Philly! Without a lot of great sandwich options available in this part of Tacoma, this is a must-stop place. They really do the cheesesteak authentically, East Coast-style, with either American, Provolone or Cheez Whiz toppings. On this visit, I went with the Catfish Po' boy. Oh, my! So tasty - done up just right with all the fixins'! Give it a few minutes for your order to be ready; everything is made fresh, so your deep-fried selections aren't too greasy. The side of fried okra made it the perfect meal! The only downside I can think of for this place is how many hills I had to come up from Pacific Ave - walking from work gives me a great excuse for a nice fried meal, however! I'm from the Philadelphia area originally and have been searching for a good cheese steak since moving to Washington 3 years ago. I ordered the original with amercian cheese and it was hands down the best I've had over here. Full of meat, very cheesy, and on a great roll. It tasted just like home. I also ordered the mild wings, and they were great as well. My boyfriend got the hot wings and thought they were good, but too saucy. The service was friendly and fast. The building was small and seating was a bit cramped, but that wasnt really an issue. Overall, I would definitely go back and reccomend others try it out. read more

*ATTENTION* Went to this place and the food was horrible, so horrible idk where to begin. I never give one stars (check my previous reviews) but this represents a warning to any going to spend their hard earned cash here. SAVE YOUR MONEY, STAY AWAY!! Here's what I ordered: PHILLY CHEESESTEAK: I ordered a Philly cheesesteak with wiz (cheese sauce); first off the cheese wiz was under neath a bed of meat so I could see it nor taste it. Secondly the meat had a frozen flavor to it, when butting into it there was a lot of moisture so much that ran out the sandwich; kind of like it was frozen up until they put it on the grill. Now I've been to Philly multiple times so I'm no stranger to the yummy grease factor, but no this was was water. Nasty. The meat was unflavored even with onions, no taste. Just spongy bread, frozen meat, and cheese wiz that might not be properly prepared. Wings: Looked beautiful; like the kind of wings you get excited for upon sight. I ordered a buffalo sauce 10 piece which was $8 something; close to $10 after tax. NOT WORTH IT. The buffalo sauce had no flavor, their was a hint of red hots but I think that got negated in how much butter they were using. The sauce looked like it had pepper in it and that's what seemed to be overpowering any other flavored in the sauce. Worst wings I've had in a long time. Fries: These were ok, there close to the McDonald's fries (looks wise). Their your average frozen fries. They were warm when I received them, not hot. Onion Rings: The onion rings were fried to a crisp. Onion rings should not be fried that hard; you could seriously brake a tooth on how hard the onion rings were fried. The Rueben Sandwich: The Rueben had no flavor whatsoever. Additionally, sauerkraut had no flavor or tang; tasteless. All you could taste was 1000 island dressing which they put a very generous amount of on the sandwich. In conclusion; those items listed above along with two drinks cost me $42. The Latin lady working there was a bit rude and rushed us. The food was so horrendous that me and my mother didn't even take our leftovers home. We threw away half a cheesesteak, half a Reuben, more then half of he onion rings, and half of the hot wings. I leave you with this; my mother who paid said that she would have been better off throwing her $42 out the window. read more

My review is as an UberEats customer ONLY! I have never been inside the establishment. We ordered over $100 order one night because all the gamers were hungry. To fix this, we bought food. We bought a lot of food. Everything was hot, flavorful, and filling. I am a native of Pennsylvania. I know the Philly. This place does it well. Wiz with, there is no other real philly. Really good catfish and shrimp. The catfish is cooked to the edge of being crispy, which is perfect. The shrimp are a nice size and both are batter red well. The wings are special with numerous flavors available. Good price and worth wait if you do the drive thru. A 10 star award program for a free dinner. Oh, I didn't mention the cheesesteaks. They are good but I've been spoiled due to teaching at Temple U. for a couple of years. The mushroom one is very tasty. Oh! And I haven't mentioned the fries. Some of the best around. This is an awesome spot for a nice Philly right here in Tacoma! The place isn't much to look at and there is usually a line but you will receive a crazy hot and delicious Philly Cheesesteak on fresh bread with plenty of cheese if you visit here. This happens to be my favorite Philly cheesesteak place. I've tried other cheesesteak places and I have to say GO PHILLY is the closest thing to a real cheesesteak. They have a large flavor variety of cheesesteaks and wings, if that's your thing. They don't have original hoagies, but they do have some sort of chicken hoagie. And they don't have Tastycake products, which would make them a genuine Philly cheesesteak restaurant. The restaurant is small and quaint. Wednesday is the special day for wings. The people are polite and greet you with a smile. If you buy ten cheesesteaks you get one free by only providing your phone number each visit.
