It was 7 PM on a Saturday evening, and my dear friend of many years had been rushed from the nursing facility where she lives to the hospital, both in San Rafael, and had left behind some critically important items, including her phone and her glasses. Since I live in Los Angeles, I needed to find a local service that would go to the nursing facility, pick up the items, and take them the short distance to the hospital. I had no luck with the numerous courier services I tried, but I hit the jackpot when I called Marin Green Cab. Hanne answered the phone, quickly calmed my jangled nerves, and walked me through every step of how she could get this done Sunday morning. It was not an easy task to organize, because it was very difficult to reach anyone at the nursing facility, but she took everything in stride. The next morning, Sunday, Hanne herself picked up the items, drove to the hospital, and even went to my friend's room to give them to her! The drivers showed up both at my home and after my procedure at the doctor's office on-time. The cabs were clean and the drivers were friendly and demonstrated safe driving behaviors. The same was true for my next round trip lift I needed to the Airporter. I had called several days before to reserve this ride and Craig arrived right on time at 4:30 a.m., knocked on my door and transported me safely. He was friendly/conversant, which I appreciated, as it made me feel more at ease. I was pleased that later that night when I arrived back at the Airporter and needed a ride back home, I called again for a ride from North Bay Taxi. Craig arrived, just beginning his graveyard shift. He was kind enough to accompany me to the door, considering the lateness of the hour (11:00 p.m.,) and the shady characters hanging around the entrance. I will be calling North Bay Taxi for future lifts. I especially appreciate the ability to make reservations for rides days in advance. I told them that we have two bike boxes and three pieces of luggage and we need a vehicle large enough to accommodate all that he said if need be, we'll have two taxis only one came. It was full of crap so we managed to fit the bike boxes in luckily we live 10 minutes away from the airporter but we missed our first bus and we might miss the second. I'm still waiting for the second taxi to come and pick up the three piece of luggage. I will never use this company again.

You need the guarantee of a professional taxi service to catch an early morning flight. We had…read morearranged with Raj to pick us up at 5 a.m. for 6:30 a.m. boarding at SFO for our 7 a.m. flight to Seattle. At 4:58 we stood outside waiting. At 5 we called Raj and the call went to voice mail. We left a message. We called twice more, but both times no answer, just voice mail. By 5:15 it became clear he wasn't going to show up. The drive to SFO from our place takes between 35 and 45 minutes, so we got in our car and headed for the airport, discouraged and upset. At 5:37 a.m. Raj called to apologize, saying his alarm didn't go off. We were already on19th Avenue in San Francisco by this time. I feel I need to add what our experience was once we reached the airport. We had to find Long Term Parking for the first time, park, walk to the Air Train, wait for it to arrive, ride15 minutes to the Terminal, go through Security, where my husband's bag was gone through, then walk as fast as our legs would take us to the very last B gate, probably a quarter-mile, hauling our bags because there had been no time to check them. We made it to Gate B21 literally two minutes before the gate was to close. Our stress level by this time was off the charts. I will not be calling Raj again.
