I cannot say enough wonderful things about Hanne, the lovely woman who owns and operates Marin Green Cab, and how helpful she was in dealing with an unusual situation. It was 7 PM on a Saturday evening, and my dear friend of many years had been rushed from the nursing facility where she lives to the hospital, both in San Rafael, and had left behind some critically important items, including her phone and her glasses. Since I live in Los Angeles, I needed to find a local service that would go to the nursing facility, pick up the items, and take them the short distance to the hospital. I had no luck with the numerous courier services I tried, but I hit the jackpot when I called Marin Green Cab. Hanne answered the phone, quickly calmed my jangled nerves, and walked me through every step of how she could get this done Sunday morning. It was not an easy task to organize, because it was very difficult to reach anyone at the nursing facility, but she took everything in stride. The next morning, Sunday, Hanne herself picked up the items, drove to the hospital, and even went to my friend's room to give them to her! I'm usually pretty Virgo like when it comes to travel details, especially regarding getting from point A to point B, but recently my husband and I took a trip and I realized the day before that we didn't know how we were getting to SFO for an early flight. Kind of an important detail. We were going to be gone for about three weeks, and didn't want to pay for parking at the Marin Airporter, and we couldn't rely on Uber or Lyft that early in the morning as there are none around. We quickly found Marin Green Cab, and they were able to pick us up the next morning at the ungodly hour of 3:30am. We were quoted and paid $100 plus bridge toll from our place just outside of San Rafael to SFO, which seemed a little steep but we didn't have another option. Our ride with Lars was smooth and pleasant and he even talked cars with my husband while I nodded off. Will definitely keep Marin Green Cab in my little black book of ways to get to the airport. I travel from Greenbrae to SFO quite a bit. Marin Green has been the most reliable, helpful and courteous. Friendly, intelligent and knowledgeable cab drivers get you to the airport with ZERO problems - and with a style. I use Marin green exclusively and gladly pay perhaps a 10% premium to do so. X amount of dollars for unreliable chaos vs. a little extra for perfection is not an issue when I have places to be. I can count on Marin Green - thanks. read more

Hmm, these guys definitely get 5 stars for punctuality, cleanliness and general pleasantness of the ride. My main complaint is that the first time I hired them from Fairfax to SFO I was billed $95 plus toll. The second time I took them (exact same time and so early in the morning there was no traffic) I was billed $136 plus toll for the same trip. I'm not sure why the second trip was almost 50% more expensive than the first trip (especially considering gas is much cheaper now than my previous trip). Anyway, you might want to get a quote ahead of time. read more

The best cab company in Marin - maybe anywhere. Always couteous and with good humor, hybrid vehicles, great prices (lower than most - I swear!). They are prompt every time, helpful when I have a ton of groceries, and make me feel like family. So far above the call of duty, I can't imagine ever calling another company, except when Marin Green is booked - and they are always honest about that, too. May they grow and prosper...try them, you'll feel better when you get whever you're going. read more

I highly recommend Marin Green Cab - great service with new clean vehicles! I recently used Marin Green Cab for the first time (based on Yelp reviews), as I needed to get home from SFO at 1 AM due to a repeatedly delayed flight coming in from the East coast (due to the terrible plane crash at SFO). My flight ended up being delayed for an additional hour after I reserved the cab, but they were there waiting at the airport when I arrived. The driver, Hans, was extremely polite and personable and the cab was new and very clean. The drive home was an unexpectedly pleasant end to a very long and tiring day of travelling. I usually only use a cab twice per year, to get from San Rafael to the Larkspur Airporter (~3 miles, 5 minutes). I've used the same cab company (not Marin Green Cab) every time as they've always arrived on time for a very early morning short ride to the Airporter. I didn't really care that the cabs felt like rattle-buckets, didn't seem particularly safe or had the occasional odd-ball driver as long as I made it to the Airporter on time. Now I do care, and I'll be calling Marin Green Cab every time. read more

Completely punctual, friendly dispatcher, nice driver. Nice clean car - except that some previous passenger had a cat or a dog in there and I am allergic so I had a runny nose and weepy eyes for a while after the ride. I can't mark them down for that. We live in a pet-oriented society, but next time I'll ask if I can get a cab that doesn't take animals (but I'm not holding my breath). I would use Green Cab again. Pricing was equivalent to other normal cabs - not pricey, not cheap. read more

I have been using them when I used to live in Mill Valley Marin CA and last time I was in a Nissan Full size Van. VERY roomy I say! Most of the time I am in a Toyota Prius old sedan or the hatchback models. They can be slighty pricely depand where you do go. read more

They arrived within 10 minutes both times I've used them, the cars where newer and in good condition. The only down side is they don't take (or don't like to take) cards for short (4 miles) fares, so not as convenient as Lyft or Uber as far as payment on short rides but in Marin these guys are sometimes much easier and quicker to get a pick up than with ride share apps. read more

I travel a lot for business, and tend to be quite demanding. Marin Green Cab is reliable, punctual, and the drivers are very professional. Who knew you could have a relaxing ride in a cab on your way to the airport, do your work. The fact that you get picked up in a Prius is an added bonus, sustainable too.
