DONT BE SCARD SILLY! I was scared to switch at first because its change~ I cant upgrade for free…read moreand I have to drive to pay in cash every month~but its really worth it. I've been using Make It Wireless for a year and I've saved over $485!! I do the unlimited talk and text and LOTS of net (there is more net then I ever use in plan) and I pay $45 TOTAL~with no hidden charges or tax or overages added to my bill EVER! I talk and text LOTS and Im always on the net and I've NEVER gone over net/talk and text is unlimited!! Im with Verizon~ Do not do the $30 plan~its really easy to go over your time and will end up costing you more then $45. I like the staff and the owner. I usually go to Petco and Trader Joe's on my way to pay my bill since TJ is close (funny the owner also works at TJ part time and is a genuinely nice and hard working guy). Its a bit of a hassle to drive there to pay cash every month, but I FIGURE THAT I PAY MYSELF ABOUT $40 CASH EVERY TIME I DRIVE there (thats allot of free food at TJ's and Petco dog toys) because thats about what I save by driving to Make It Wireless to pay my bill! Boy, I sure love this "no monopoly" law that allows small businesses to sell the same service from the same towers for less then half as much! P.S. My girlfriend and her husband switched last year to MIW and they said they saved over $600 because they were always paying overages (and tax on overages) and other hidden fees! Oh and we dont miss those long Verizon phone calls to "discuss" how to prorate your overages (more like BEG them to lower the $100 plus in extra hidden charges. WHAT A STUPID NIGHTMARE it was dealing with Verizon and there high scam charges. The discount~pay as you go plans in the small shops (like MIW) they use the same towers and its just silly to pay more then we have to!!?? What are you going to do with the $300~$500 you save every year?? Or maybe you have hundreds of extra dallers to waist every year because you're afraid of change??

A serious budget hunter "I don't do retail" friend of ours turned us on to this little corner…read morewireless service provider and cell phone shop on Milpas. After a friendly conversation with Sean (store manager) We decided to stay with our original carrier. But our friend loves it. She has an iphone and pays $60 monthly flat fee for unlimited service/data. The service is Page Plus / Verizon network , handled by Make It Wireless. The monthly fee is as cheap as I've seen, but the rub is, it's a cash only store. Meaning to keep your service, you need to stop by and see Sean every month, unless you pay a few months in advance. I dunno, seems a bit of hassle. Our friend has been using them for more than 6 months, and says her cell/data service is OK and she's had a few problems but they were resolved quickly and professionally. I remain curious and maybe more willing to make the leap after I get our next phone bill from Verizon.

My recent 2nd visit exceeded my expectations. Alexander was the very best. With a friendly, helpful…read moreattitude, he resolved my issues. Alexander is a standard by which all others are to be measured. The store manager very kindly asked and confirmed that my experience went well, my first visit a few days ago, not so much. The person did not seem happy or eager to perform his job. He seemed to get me done, even though I was purchasing a $2,500+ iPad and a new contract. I had to go to the Apple Store to confirm I was making the right choice, which I didn't, so my 2nd visit was to return and reorder a different new one. I am a 20-plus-year AT&T customer and do hope signal strength improves, as I have been considering other carriers. 5 stars to Alexander, he's worth asking and waiting for.

We bought two Apple iPhones and one iWatch from this store a couple of weeks ago. We have been ATT…read morecustomers for over twenty years. The phones operate properly but the watch does not. We returned and were told to make an appointment another day to meet the manager, which we did today. Without examining the watch or discussing the issue we were having, she brusquely told us we had just missed the 14 day warranty period and that it was therefore not her problem; and were told to call Apple. When we were spending several thousand dollars for the phones and watch, we were treated politely; but when we needed service after the sale, we were treated very poorly. This was a very disappointing experience.

I like to spend Fathers Day alone so I can go to all the places I want without my wife and kids…read morebothering me. Unfortunately, I couldn't do that this year because my family and I were traveling together in Santa Barbara and Solvang. However, I still got to decide where to go, so I decided to find the nearest record store after our lunch. This is the first one that popped up on my Yelp search, and I can see why. This place isn't that big but carries some really hard to find items, at least the stuff that I like. I found some old records from the 80s that I couldn't find at any other place near where I live. I found Ministry's "With Sympathy" and Stryper's "Soldiers Under Command." There were many other rare items that I wanted to buy but I had to keep my my budget in check. Store was well organized by genre. The owner was friendly and fun to talk to. Will have to come back here on my next visit to Santa Barbara. Because my kids were with me, I couldn't spend too much time in the store. I will just send my wife and kids to the museum across the street while I browse here.

It is off the beaten path, on De la Guerra street, almost across from the Santa Barbara Historical Museum. We have been coming here for about 15 years when in town. It's not big and never crowded, so you'll be able to browse at your own leisure and check out their vinyl, CD, tape collections for sale. Decent prices and good condition of the items. My husband found a cool CD soundtrack in here. Nice customer service, calm shopping experience, love the cute space!
