I have never been so disappointed because this place was really good when it first opened. I came in today and the food bar where they build your order was a mess with food spilling all over the counters, the floor was dirty with food droppings. You really can't go wrong with this place. This has been my absolute favorite restaurant for years. I have gotten almost everything off of the menu and nothing has disappointed me other than the occasional one-off situation where someone was having an off day/night. My favorite are the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos, that are only available on Tuesdays. I really wish they would add them to the menu indefinitely I also love the fresh ingredients used for a salad. I'm currently on a low carb diet and the salad is one of the best options in town. The bar is also great, every bartender I've ever had has been knowledgeable and attentive. Although I believe this place is damn near perfect, there are a few things I would change. - A soda machine on the top rooftop bar. I'm not sure if this is possible, but it should be! - Change out options for the salsa bar. I feel like they've had the same salsas for years and they're good, but I think we're ready for something new. - Instead of Taco Tuesday's just offering a certain taco, possibly a deep discount on tacos would be nice. Tons of places do this and it's awesome! - Online Ordering is easy but when picking it up, it's a little awkward. Especially when the line is out the door & you don't wanna tick people off and skip them. Maybe a sign that says "Online Order Pick Up Here?" I got a steak burrito but it must be a cheap cut they use because it was so tough and so very hard to bite and chew, I couldnt eat it. Im picky about steak and if that is your best you are putting out there for me, then you arent the place for me. One of my very favorite places in Salisbury and I always make sure to visit when I'm in town. A few things I would like to see from them: -a soda fountain on the second/third floors. It is incredibly inconvenient to have to go to the bottom floor for a refill, especially if you're on the rooftop. -more vegetarian options. I would love some sort of grilled veggie tacos, marinated/seasoned tofu, etc. -more variety in the specials. Granted I don't typically go on Tuesdays, when they have their Taco Tuesday specials, but every time I have gone it seems as if they rotate the same few specials. Chorizo would be a great special! Despite these suggestions, Go Burrito is definitely still worth 5 stars! The food is fantastic and fresh, with everything being made in house, and the rooftop bar is a ton of fun when the weather is nice. Came to Salisbury with my girlfriend for pride. Go burrito was the closest restaurant with a bar to the festivities and clearly had a lot of business because of pride. I was ignored by one bartender for a really long time, even said hello audibly to both and sat for about 5 minutes until being acknowledged. Whatever, there were only two people other than myself there, but I try to be really patient with service staff, being in the service industry myself. When finally someone asked for my order and ID, I was misgendered by both staff as well as asked if I was "sure" my ID was real. I'm 26, I get ID'd regularly but am a person clearly well over 21. Simply because my hair was longer in the old ID pic than it is in real life. I'm trans. If you're going to have bartenders working during an event (meant to be) for queer people, maybe have a little training beforehand on how to competently check IDs beyond comparing hairstyles. Frankly it ruined my day, I slammed my sugary sweet rum punch in 1/4th of the time it took me to place an order and pay, and left the entire town of Salisbury cuz it left such a dark cloud over what should've been a nice day to be trans. Definitely one of the BEST restaurants in Salisbury. Not only is the food amazing, the overall atmosphere is what keeps me coming back. My personal favorite is an A.C.P burrito "wet" (drenched in warm queso blanco) and I add extra corn salsa and queso inside the burrito as well. I like to pair my burrito with a Cheerwine. Another favorite of mine is the steak nachos. It is important to note that all of the produce is fresh. The workers prepare your food in front of you and you also have the option to do a mobile order which can be helpful because it is usually busy at Go Burrito. If you do a mobile order, you can skip the long lines. One thing you will notice is that the staff is very diverse and friendly which creates a chill atmosphere. There are three levels in which customers are usually free to roam about. If you are on a family outing with children, I would recommend that you choose to dine in at the ground level. If you are with friends and you want to eat and have a few drinks, I would recommend the middle level. If you are just with friends and plan to have a few drinks, I recommend the middle level or rooftop (if weather permits of course). I would recommend Go Burrito for all age groups. The flavor combos are delicious and they even have cheerwine slushees, which if you've never had cheerwine it is an amazing pop/soda that is like DR Pepper's long lost sweet cousin! Yum! We had a great dinner! The salsas nearly burned our faces off but it's nice to see a salsa bar that actually MEANS it when they warn you it's HOT! Ordering was a little confusing for a newbie so we just got one of the menu items for ease. We were not disappointed. The sloppy option was a large and tasty portion and we were glad to see that there were plenty of veggie options. I think a vegetarian or even a vegan could do well here! The staff was helpful, one member was even a little EXTRA excitable as he filled our burritos up but hey I rather them be over the top than lackluster in the service department. The environmentalist in me is a little sad that things all go into styrofoam but it's definitely an understandable choice and won't stop me from returning the next time I'm in town! I refuse to even eat at Chipotle or Moe's or any other make your own burrito spot. This puts them all the shame. The Good: I had a chicken nacho bowl and it was amazing! The chicken was seasoned extremely well and they give you very large portions for not a huge price. Even better--the Queso is free and you get some at the beginning and again once you finish with all your toppings. I was so impressed with my meal that I feel like I should drive back to Salisbury (live in Charlotte) just to have it again! Fantastic local version of the tried and true Tex-Mex format! I have been to Go Burrito on numerous occasions and I have always left happy and plenty full. The menu and restaurant are set up similar to many other chain burrito restaurants where you travel down the line and are able to choose exactly what items you would like on your meal. They have the typical items such as burritos, quesadillas, nachos, etc, however they also have some special burritos they have concocted if you want to try something different than what you would order off the top of your head. While none of the ingredients are anything over the top of that different than those you would find at other similar restaurants, everything I have had or seen here seems to be very fresh and is certainly more consistent than that of other larger chain restaurants. Personally I am a huge fan of the chicken which tastes as it has been marinaded in something before being cooked. Very tasty! Once you purchase your meal, off to the side is a pretty impressive salsa bar as well. They have everything from mild to wild and everything in between. I have not tried them all but each time I go I try something a little different! Besides the food, the location and set up of Go Burrito is perfect. Located downtown there is street parking as well as ample parking lot parking across the street. The restaurant itself spans THREE floors. All of the food, drinks, and salsa are located in the first floor where there is also a decent amount of seating. If that area is full, there is a nice size bar on the second floor that serves beer and liquor and also has live music. Finally, continuing up there is a rooftop area which is perfect for a nice warm day or night. If I was to have one complaint, the only real thing I could say is that the staff could certainly be a little more friendly and helpful. Many of the staff are good, however it is all too common to have someone making your meal who makes it seem like it is a chore for them to be fixing your food for you. All in all though I highly recommend Go Burrito as a great place to grab some food or even just to have a drink and hangout with friends. You will not be disappointed! read more
