This is our New Mexican food spot! It's always so so good. Sometimes you may get a newer server who isnt as fast. But usually we have drinks within 3 min of sitting down. Chips are always getting placed as soon as we sit down and it never takes long for food to arrive. Even when they are swamped. I think the longest we have ever waited for our meals is 10-12 min after ordering. And for a family of 4 that's honestly impressive. I hope this place always stays amazing. read more

On a scale of delicious to food poisoning, Los Arcos should be approached cautiously when ordering take out. The portion sizes were huge but the quality was really low. They are fast at preparation but lack consistancy in product. The shrimp were a bit fishy and I chose not to eat them. The steak was okay and the chicken was dry. The fajita veggies were very over cooked. The refried beans were brown wallpaper paste. The rice was fairly good. There are better Mexican resturants in the area so I won't be back but on a positive note, I didn't get food poisoning. read more

First of all when I called to place my to go order. The lady on the phone that I spoke with after every item I stated I wanted she constantly said "is that it?". The first item I said I wanted was cheese dip, and she said "is that it?" she was trying to rush me off the phone. So that was rude. So I got there I picked up the order and that was fine. When I got home, this was for me, my mom and my stepdad, My stepdad ordered a enchilada supreme it's the picture I'm attaching. First of all That was what they gave us. My wife said this is the worst Mexican place she has ever eaten in. I disagree, somewhat. The chips and salsa were good. Beans were ok. The Chili Rellano was the worst ever! YUCK!! Don't go near it. My wife and I ate there for lunch. That's was the wrong decision. The service is very rude. My wife ordered refried beans. It was like bean soup. Stopped by last night on our way into Charlotte since this place is super convenient to I-85. Reading through the reviews it seemed like a good option, but we were less than impressed. It was hopping when we pulled in after 8:30 and we had to wait about 15 min for a table. Good sign, I thought. Since we were at a Mexican place after a hectic work week, I ordered a margarita, it turned out to be a mistake. One sip in, it was obvious that the margarita mix was highly artificial when my drink tasted like lemon lime floor cleaner. Chips and salsa were great though! Salsa was fresh with just a bit of a kick. As we started to peruse the menu, it became abundantly clear that this place, like most other Mexican joints, was extremely Americanized. Everything offered appeared to be meat, cheese and bland. What little veg dishes they did offer were laden with cheese and boring. Crestfallen by the ubiquitous menu, we settled on the shrimp fajitas for 2. When they arrived they lacked the veg promised on the menu (zucchini, mushroom, etc) and included only onion and pepper. The shrimp, however, were great. Perfectly cooked and very tasty. However, after our fajitas were dropped off it took about 5 min and a visit from the manager to get our fixings and shells. One would not describe our waiter as attentive. The sides were a bit disappointing. Rice was standard, the retried beans were soupy and bland, and the shells were highly processed. We ate our meal and were full from the generous portion, but don't think we will be in any rush to make a repeat visit. read more

Delicious food, professional service and great price. Plates are plentiful. I been here plenty of times. I am always for tacos in a Mexican restaurant but the Wifey and I have a new favorite, we discover the Parrillada for two. Is a plate that consists of beef, chicken and shrimp on a bed of grill onions and bell peppers, the meal also comes with a plate of rice, fried beans, sour cream, guacamole and pico de gallo. I regret having to share this experience as this has been one of our favorite Mexican dining spots for several years. However, they are trending down as of our last several visits. I wanted to keep giving them a chance but I've lost hope now and do not plan on returning. We were there last night, Sunday around 6:30 and they were busy but not overly crazy. We received our drinks promptly but failed to get a single refill the entire time. Our food was served cold-Luke warm. I ate most of mine anyway, it tasted fine and I was very hungry but I sent my daughters back. They heated it up in the microwave and reserved it. The waiter said he would discuss with the manager but the manager never stopped by. The waiter abandoned us only stopped by one last time with the check. I didn't mind paying for the food but it should never be cold. I explained my frustration with the foods temperature and I said I knew everything was NOT FRESH and simply warmed up. Very disappointed for an establishment that I look to succeed. They have lost something there and the management was non existent last night. El Patron is more expensive but your food will be fresh and hot. Casa Grande in Kannapolis is also a much better alternative now. I've overlooked all the shootings that have taken place there because the staff was so nice but they are no longer super welcoming...probably because it was my first real complaint. read more

My husband and I went for lunch. Waitress took our drink orders, once she served our drinks said she'd give us a minute. 20 minutes later no waitress in sight. Finally another waitress notices and takes over. She takes our order. Thirty minutes later, we are done waiting for our food. We leave, on the way out I pay for my drink and cheese dip (husband got water). The waitress tells the cashier not to charge me, she still does. Cashier says she can't cancel it so waitress tries to pay. As this is all happening the worst manager comes by and keeps walking, even after I call out to him. I paid for what we ate and left. We come here once a week and are tired of the very poor service with the "a could care less management " It's a hit or miss on the service but one thing is assured, the management could care less about the customer. Try El Patron, George and his staff will make you feel welcomed and appreciated. read more

I tried this place after a friend told me how good it was. I thought that the salsa and chips were very good however we did have to ask for more b it was enough for the five of us. Beware I was charged 8.50 for a large cheese dip. Mind you the small is 4.50 and the bowls are almost the same when filled with the smaller bowl into the large. It's not listed in the menu. After letting the manager know that it wasn't okay for them to be ripping ppl off and that I didn't want my money back. He then told me to and I quote "never order it again." He was beyond rude and when I showed him there was no price listed for a large he tried to flip through the menu and say it's in here somewhere. Wonderful authentic Mexican food. Best Mexican restaurant in Salisbury!! Atmosphere is nice, little cramped sometimes when they are full but the servers are all friendly and helpful with the menu. Margarita specials all the time! I definitely recommend their Arroz con Pollo, fantastic! read more

Sent plate back TWICE-first time cheese in enchilada was cold, second time the kitchen filled my enchilada with cheese sauce NOT OK!!! Walked in....horrible service right from the get. Hostess was semi friendly. We wanted to sit at the bar but it was full. No big deal so we sat in a booth. We order wine....that's what got this place one star. Glass of wine for $2.99. Awesome. What wasn't awesome was the little kid that ran circles around the restaurant screaming while his parents sat in the corner eating burritos. The kid even came up to our booth and peeked around and yelled. Wtf. No one seemed to care. Salsa was spicy and somewhat thick. Decent, but eh. Not worth the lack of customer service. I used to go to the Los Arcos in Kannapolis a lot when I was a kid. It was wonderful every time! This one, not so much. I love the chips and salsa at the beginning but every meal I've ordered has been a little weird. I'm not sure I can quite put my finger on it but so far I haven't found anything that I want to eat twice. Will likely go back because this area is a regular meeting spot for my bestie and I, but there are many other restaurants in the same general area that we get swayed to due to the mediocre food here, so I don't know how soon a return visit will be! read more
