From the atmosphere to the service to the FOOD--everything was fantastic! We started with shrimp cocktail and French bread, along with a glass of Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. For our entrées, we had the filet mignon and beef bourguignon, and WOW! Every bite was delicious and beautifully prepared. Our waitress, Reina, was so sweet and attentive, and the owner personally stopped by our table several times to make sure we had everything we needed and that our meals were prepared perfectly. That kind of personal attention really made the evening feel special. The restaurant was packed, and we even saw a few couples turned away because there simply weren't any tables available--which tells you everything you need to know! Definitely make a reservation! I think they've created a monster because I'm already addicted. In fact, I'll be back this weekend when my next guests come to visit! The outdoor patio is spacious, relaxing, and beautiful.....such a great atmosphere. We sat at the bar and had the pleasure of meeting Steve. He was amazing! Brookland Tavern in West Columbia a few times a week. As a concert venue it is perfect for local acts, or a band big enough to be touring but not big enough to fill Music Farm. As a bar it's a local bar where everyone seems to know each other and have been going there forever. As a restaurant the food is good and fairly priced. When I ate here last night three of us had burgers which were gigantic. Normally I am not a fan of the 1/2 lb burgers but these were good. French fries and fried pickles were both good. Wings were crispy and the sauce was tasty. All of the staff was absolutely amazing, really friendly folks who bent over backwards for us. The fresh lettuce and avocado makes the sandwich taste so good. They give you a big slice of chicken as well that is very flavorful. My daughter's favorite is the Hawaiian chicken Sandwich.
