Great customer service and knowledgeable staff, wide variety of product options. Great Bogo offers. Overall, had a great experience with JD.

I was on this plaza grabbing brunch with my wife at a place near this GNC store. She wanted to go shop at Sephora in the same plaza so I came to GNC to get a ZOA energy drink. The plaza that this store is in has some parking spot but after lunch time, it can be difficult finding a spot because of Trader Joe's here. When I walked into this GNC store, I was the only customer there and there was only 1 worker I saw. He greeted me and I asked where were the energy drink. He pointed me to the back and I found them in the refrigerator. I didn't see any ZOA energy drink in the fridge or outside so I took it as they didn't carry any. Since I was already inside the store, I decided to get a Prime Energy drink. When I went to pay, the worker said they have a deal where if you buy 2 then the third one is free. So I took advantage of the deal and went back to get 2 more drinks. They couldn't print out the receipt so the worker said he can send it through email instead.

Not only were they extremely helpful with selling a product to my fiance and me, but they were super friendly and informative. Thanks so much! This has become our new favorite GNC store!

I mean it's a beautiful, expensive, California grocery store. Everything is perfect inside. There…read moreare no carts, you can be handed a basket if you need one and the aisles are very narrow in comparison to other grocery stores. Like these are one way aisles pretty much unless you are a California size -1. I'm all fat and cranky so parking is the biggest concern of mine and I actually googled which is the airline with the least hassle free parking and this one came up and it's true. There is 90 minute free parking and it's not exactly simple. You have to get a ticket and then you may be double parking someone inside and you have to give some people your keys so if they have to move your car you can't they can. They held onto my keys but did not move my car so I didn't tip them. I wasn't expecting to tip when I went to a grocery store. There's more than one business in the plaza so I think they're employed by them so just be prepared with that and have cash on hand. I did not get the Hailey Bieber smoothie although I was tempted. I've heard mixed reviews and I know it's very expensive and I did not want to spend that kind of money on a smoothie. I didn't like. I did end up getting a bottled peanut butter smoothie and that one cost $14 and it was really delicious. It tasted healthy, but it was really good. I also got some vanilla chai crisps that are in the back corner by the freezer section and those are delicious as well. Those were $6.99 for a bag and honestly, I thought that was reasonable. I did get a strawberry cream dessert. It's all natural and I think vegan or something or other. I don't know. It was really good, from the few bites I had I was going to save it and it melted in my car so hopefully it will taste good tomorrow even if it's not in the shape originally was. I also got some Keylime and Meyer lemon tarts. I tried the lemon one they should be refrigerated which I did not know until I tried to eat them. The lemon one was good. I have not tried the lime one yet. I ended up spending $44 on five items. I just went there to say I've gone there. Would I go there regularly if there was one available to me probably not but I would go occasionally. It just seems now that it's a lot of content creators or people who want to see content creators, or people we're just going there is a tourist. I can't imagine anyone doing their weekly shopping here.

THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY: Free parking for 90 minutes (good), Fantastic organic fruits /…read moreveggies and health/beauty selection are great, (good) yummy fresh juices (good), INSANE (not in a good way) store and parking design (bad). The prices are more than a bit over-the-top (ugly). Whoever designed this store deserves a smack-down. The aisles are so small you have to shimmy past people. And if you are shopping with a cart, good luck to you. Legit the most baffling design choices I've ever seen. This is an example of design that actually effects the shopping experience in a BAD WAY. Total head scratcher. Whoever designed the parking lot for the entire complex is an absolute idiot. If you need to get your cart to your car, there are several issues depending on what area you park in. First up, upon exiting the store there is a curb with no visible ramp so you have to cart-jump the curb to get down to the street level to your car. Then there is a raised planter between parking and the store so that if you are on the other side of it, you have to cart-jump the curb again. Seriously? Total failure in design on both the store and the parking. But hey - 90 minutes free parking so that's a plus. $16 for a smoothie is a little excessive for sure. Was it good? Yes. That said, while I'm happy to pay more for a great selection of organic fruits and veggies, the smoothies aren't that different from one I could make at home or get somewhere else of the same quality but for less. So if you are on a budget or just resent paying $16 for a smoothie on principal, I suggest focusing on your favorite, good stuff at Erewhon which for me is the fruits / vegetables and their outstanding selection of health / beauty products and their prepared food. from the beauty section, I got something called EVERYTHNG OIL based on the recommendation of one of the staff and it is a GREAT product -- truly my skin is transformed -- well worth the $. I also discovered a yoghurt there that I love -- Painterland Sisters -- but I now buy it at Sprouts as it is cheaper there. The prepared food selection is great! Vegan dessert selection - hallelujah! And I'm a big fan of all their vegan options actually - great stuff. I like that they give you a credit for every glass bottle you bring back -- not a small one either. $2 for each bottle! That brings down the cost of those fresh juices I love so I'll take it!! :) So spend some time finding your favorite stuff - this is a place to pick up a couple of things -- not do ALL your grocery shopping. First of all, you don't want a cart in this place -- too hard to navigate. But also, a full shop at Erewhon is 3 times what any other store would cost. But they do have some very excellent products so worth it for those things IMHO but not for EVERYTHING. Also, try to choose a time to go when it's not packed. the store is claustrophobic when full.

To be fair, I tried to check out B Hills but it was chaotic af, I was doing a test drive and didn't want anything to happen to the car trying to find parking so I said screw it. This may be as close as I get and that's fine. I know it's a photo op for many, but this is my market of choice. I truly am a fan. Thankfully parking was easier here, I got a spot by the door and went in. Given that it was a Sunday, I appreciated it. I know it's the OG so it's nice to finally pay my respects. Understandably the layouts a bit different and I'm here for it. I'm not used to seeing the soup right by the door. I got some broccoli at the hot bar I'd never seen before, yum! I wish I saw it more. They had my beef chili, eggs I've never seen. Though I'm over the hold my beer on egg prices. I tap out with my $15 Erewhon dozen. Store was clean as always, staff was kind, loads of people as always, but I didn't need priority checkout bc the line was nonexistent when I checked out. It was probably harder to get out than in, but nothing I don't deal w at the Pasadena store. I still want to go back to WeHo, but I'm happy I finally made it here. Is this place part of my personality, ya. Do I care, nope! I'll come back, especially if I get confused about which store I'm going to lol.

Now that they've been around for a number of years, it's a well known fact that Erewhon is as…read morefamous for their celebrity endorsed smoothies as they are notorious for their astronomical prices. If a trip to Whole Foods earns them the nickname "Whole Paycheck", Erewhon will probably cost you your monthly rent. And yet, like a moth to a flame, I couldn't help but make a trip here to check out their wildly popular (and expensive) smoothies! Wandering through the aisles, Erewhon has all of the basics you would expect to find at a market, but a lot of the brands they carry aren't the typical mainstream ones you'll find at most other supermarkets. In a sense, they're like the Whole Foods of Whole Foods, as they almost exclusively feature premium/luxury brands that position themselves as being more "health focused". While that sort of claim can be relative (e.g. lower calories, but higher sodium), there's no question that the quality of their fresh produce, meats, and seafood definitely looked pretty legit, with a lot of products that are organic, free-range, cage-free, hormone-free, etc. As for the aforementioned smoothies that so many folks both praise and complain about, they're made fresh to order from their tonic bar that sits in the middle store - easy to find, but inconvenient to navigate past. With over a dozen different pre-set flavors/combinations to choose from, along with the option to customize and/or create your own, the menu has so much to offer. What's more, if you aren't in the mood for one of their smoothies, they also have freshly pressed juices, coffees, and teas. Even though their Strawberry Glaze Smoothie is easily their most popular smoothie (and best, according to Hailey Bieber), we opted to try their MALIBU MANGO SMOOTHIE ($21) instead. Based purely on taste, this actually wasn't too shabby - It had a nice punch of mango flavor and the consistency was smooth with just the right thickness to it. Plus, I liked how creamy both the texture and taste was and how it wasn't overly sweet. That being said, after tax/tip, did it taste $28 good? No. Although there wasn't anything inherently "bad" with this, it didn't taste all that different from the one I can get by my place in SF that costs me less than half as much. Despite how expensive the smoothie was, which at least I was already prepared for, the thing that really took us by surprise was how long it took for it to be made. Granted, this location might be an outlier, as its proximity to The Grove probably contributes to the number of people that were here, but I never would've guessed we'd have to wait almost half an hour for our order. Since I don't live anywhere near an Erewhon, I can't say if/when I would come back, but I certainly wouldn't entirely rule it out, as I liked the smoothie we got and I'm genuinely curious about the Strawberry Glaze one as well as some of their prepared foods. However, for how much it would set me back, it'll probably have to come after the next time I get a bonus or a raise so I can feel a little better about the splurge. Four stars for taste and the quality of what Erewhon has, but two stars, at best, for value, so three it is.

They do have a few seating inside and outside, but it is limited. 1. Chagachino (3.5/5) This is basically a coffee-alternative, though you can request for a shot of espresso be added. It consists of chaga mushroom powder, cacao, and cinnamon. I got it with coconut milk to give it creaminess, which it did, but overall, I felt the drink to be a bit too sweet for my liking. 2. Jalapeño Cheese Scone (4/5) I like the flavor of the Jalapeño, but the scone was a bit too dry and crumbly. The cheese was also lacking, but it could be because it was served cold. I wish they gave the option to heat it up so that the cheese would be melty and add a bit a moisture.
