I went to this store specifically because a guy I work with told me about the man who works there and how helpful he was. Who not only had a great personality but, was very knowledgeable about the creatine I was purchasing and other options to get the results I'm looking to obtain better results and to get stronger. I wish I could give this location negative stars. It has the most unprofessional and uncomfortable store manager. This man tells me the same pick up lines every single time i'm there and then tries to force me to give him my number over and over again even after i'm saying no and that I have a boyfriend and am not interested. I always feel extreme discomfort here and I have found out he does this to LOTS of girls my age because my friends have told me the same things. I just turned a legal adult how fkn uncomfortable is it that a 40yr old man is shoving his phone is my hands begging for my number and asking to hang out when all I want to some fkn protein powder. Additionally, practically every time I go in asking for one thing, I am ALWAYS suggested (by the same bs manager) some random brand I have never heard of and do not want to try, again this man tries to force me to try it persistently saying you'll like it just try it try it. read more

This place is awesome! Patrick is so kind and friendly, he made me feel very welcome with my pup. Came to purchase some essential oils and some stress relieving chews for my anxious dog (which actually work btw!). I highly recommend this place for any nutritional supplement needs. The essential oils are wonderful, I know that they're of top quality without them being insanely expensive and can just buy them separately unlike having to buy a whole set of them online. GNCs have a reputation for being sad, weird and a little unsatisfying. This one doesn't disappoint,. The manager seems a bit weird, the selection (of protein bars) has shrunk, and there's just a depressing "we probably should have gone into another business" feeling to this store. But am I glad that there's a place nearby to grab a protein shake when I need one? Yes. Do I think that they are doing the best that they can? Yes. Patrick is awesome. I went in here for some Co-Q 10, since my bff has been taking it forever, and I think I should follow her lead. I had looked online, and found one that I thought looked good, but figured I'd just go into the store and get it. Well, turns out that it might not be a vegetarian formula: it said no dairy, yeast, gluten, etc., and did not have gelatin, but was not labeled as vegetarian. There was only one bottle labeled vegetarian (this is the one I ended up purchasing). Now, the stuff I had seen online was cheaper on the website, but he said the price will ring up as whatever it says online, which he demonstrated to be true. He also said that in his experience, GNC will label stuff as vegetarian if it is indeed vegetarian, so it's possible that one or some of the ingredients could be from a non-veggie source. My conclusion from this is that he actually knows what he's talking about, and he's a nice guy to boot. He and I and my boyfriend had a rousing conversation about identity theft and how awful it is that so much personal information is just floating around there, waiting to be stolen. Go to this GNC and give Patrick your business. He's a good guy. read more

If you are lucky enough to run across the store owner, Patrick, you will find a wealth of knowledge. He has turned me onto many herbal products that I originally knew nothing about. Debora, the woman who manages this GNC, is such a lovely person. I'm not usually a vitamin store kind of gal. I had just walked in for some protein shakes that would hopefully taste better and have less sugar than Slim Fast. But Debora spent significant time helping me. I've just started a new job with a new hard schedule, and I'm really trying to drop 20 pounds. Debora is more than just a sales person! She gave me nutritional advice, exercise advice, and even just took the time to talk to me in a very therapeutic and calming manner. Her demeanor is what has sold me on this GNC. The store is well-stocked, The protein shakes are delicious and have only 2 g of sugar, and Debora even gave me a free bag of three sriracha long bean snacks as a new customer gift! Thanks to her, I have been motivated not only to diet but to go to the gym every day on my lunch hour. She also helped me select good quality vitamins. The woman who works here is horrible. No customer service/people skills and absolutely no knowledge of the products. I came here Monday (on crutches and in a brace) and had trouble opening their heavy door. She just stood at the counter and THEN came over at the last minute to help after it was apparent I wasn't having any luck. (Note that the store was empty.) I told her I needed a whey protein powder supplement because I needed protein while healing from surgery and also wanted to lose weight because I gained while being forced to be sedentary. She handed me something soy. She didn't know anything about any of the products and couldn't answer basic questions. I ended up buying a giant $30 container of whey protein. But she didn't offer to open the door for me or help me carry it to my car. Well, turns out what she sold me is actually for bulking up. So this morning I came back to return it, and again she stood at the counter and saw me coming and didn't help with the door. I brought my return to the counter; she said she needed my Visa and driver's license. She processed it without even a 'hello' or 'how are you' or anything. Then she handed me my return receipt and again did not offer to help me with the door. (Note that the store was empty again.) I worked for years in retail and waiting tables and am always friendly to workers because I know how unpleasant the job can be sometimes. But it's quite another thing when you get cold non-service while stores are tanking in this horrible economy. I've said it before and I'll say it again: If you can't even fake warmth or liking people, don't work in a service industry. read more

Wow.....I want to give this place negative stars. I haven't felt this uncomfortable and unpleasant perhaps in my entire life. The manager Patrick is like a tyrant. Came to this location because it's my local GNC, to return an online order. Such an eerie feeling/energy in here (a very "we should've gone into a different business"). The woman working here was very cold and unwelcoming. Patrick made several calls to I'm assuming GNC corporate (since they're a franchise) to ask them how to process the online return. He was acting like a hot tempered child - raising his voice over the phone in front of me and even hanging up when he didn't like the response he was receiving. He was so pissed because "he" was losing money by me making an online return in "his" store, so he was calling GNC corporate to demand that they reimburse him. Frugal isn't even the word here. Customer service experience was quite concerning. Needless to say, this was the longest 15-20 min of my life...... read more

I called and asked if they had a certain product, the associate immediately knew they did. When I came in later to pick up the product the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Looking for my C4 prework count 30. They didn't have in stock. I said okay no problem. Checked the other prework see what they have. So I decided to go with muscle pharm. Just to try it out. I asked the clerk to see how much it is. They didn't have a price tag on it like others. She said 52.99, are you a member? I said yes... Then she said okay for you it will be 34.99. Sure why not! She rang me up to be 43.32. In my head right away I'm say this isn't right. Kinda ignore it. Because there was a line behind me. So I took off. Went out side. Checked the GNC website. It was 34.99 members price. Okay this chick doesn't know what's she's doing. Went back in and fixed it. Every time I visit GNC you guys are starting to go down hill. I feel so unwelcome when i walk into this particular GNC. i don't know if its because the owner is always there and he is just racist, but I always see him be really nice to white people, and black people that dress well, but if you are less than nice looking, or obviously not white, he followed me around the store. I had simple questions and he just seemed like he didn't want my business. I"m alaskan native and swedish. In fact, I'm also french and i am more european than i am native, but in LA, people think i look hispanic. If I could rate this particular store location with a negative rating I would. The sales associate clearly had no idea what customer service was, how to interact with guests and most importantly treat them with respect. Perhaps, if GNC invested more in their locations & the service expectations - I would have had a better experience. Instead on a normal return of $21.74 with the original receipt, with original credit card and valid CDL - I was treated disrespectfully by the female cashier. When asked for her name, the cashier refused to give her name or the number for customer service. In fact, her response was to me that she was 'no longer answering any more of my questions'. With as many retail store locations that are going under, you would think that the service expectations were higher with GNC. Sadly, they are not here. My advice to everyone is to go to the vitamin shoppe just down the street where they were exceptionally busy at the time I walked in to make my purchase of the correct item I needed. This GNC is great. The owner is an acupuncturist iand s there in the evenings and . Needless to say, he has extensive knowledge about health and nutrition. He told me that the things I was buying at a previous GNC was not good for me and helped me select products that were right for me. They were cheaper and he lost money. There was nothing weird in this GNC. If you talk to the owner, he can help you select the right products even if he doesn't have them. I go there now every month and I spend less money. read more
