Love that they have body fat testing so that you can measure your progress! Staff is also very knowledgeable about supplements.

These guys know their stuff! I trust Amit and family wholeheartedly when it comes to helping me pick the best supplements for my health and wellbeing. Years ago I changed diets in order to loose weight and Amit consistently helped me monitor so I didn't loose any muscle while continually recommending supplements that supported my goals. Highly recommend. read more

Love GNC! Will was very knowledgeable and spent the time to help me select a protein powder that has been perfect to improve my workouts. He pulled up the nutrition content on my current supplements and showed me how they compared to what he had in the store. Super helpful! read more

Love This place, I've been purchasing from here for years now, I primarily work with Amit and am always super happy with his customer service. He goes above and beyond to explain the pros and cons of each product and helps educate me on what I need as I change my goals from time to time. I would highly recommend stopping by. read more

Great selection, service and fresh product. Amit is super knowledgeable about a wide range of supplements and proteins. High product quality (fresh stock) Parking is not cheap read more

Although there are many GNC's all around locally, I will only go to this one. They have incredible service, great extensive variety of supplements, and incredible deals from time to time. The store is always kept clean and organized and the owner always goes out of his way to get to personally know all his customers and their nutrition needs. I always feel very welcome'd every visit. There's 4 other gnc locations way closer to me, but I always choose this location in particular. I highly recommend this business, they truly care about your well being and find you the right supplements that fit your lifestyle. Easily 5 stars in my book. All gnc locations should use this location as a template on how to run a supplement shop. read more

Great selection of supplements and really helpful and knowledgeable staff! Have gotten some excellent recommendations that have really made a difference! Would definitely recommend going here if you've got questions and you are looking for staff that will give you good advice without being too pushy. read more

Great service, wide assortment of products at fair price. Feels like a family operated business. They also have an InBody 570 read more

Their hours are incorrect. They will randomly put up a sign on the door saying they won't open until 9:25am and then no one will show up to open the store until much later. They can't keep this location staffed so you can't rely on the hours. read more

Knowledgeable owner was helpful and answered many questions to assist me in choosing the right products.

Amit is very nice I believe he is the owner and has been there both times I've gone. Has just about everything in the store you'd get online but is also very knowledgeable. In body testing is available too which is nice every few months if you stay active! read more

This shop is always well stocked and every time I've been in here I've been greeted, asked if I need help, and had nothing pushed on me. Defiantly a big step up from your average GNC read more

My husband only drinks this shake (the Lean Shake Mixed Berry) at least 3-6xs a week for breakfast. Mohsen was kind enough to see if was in stock l barely made it before the store close around 7:47sh-50sh minutes and no for one second did l feel rush.. l was being more cognizant of the fact that he probably wanted to close and go home than he was. He was extremely helpful and also very knowledgeable . I would probably come back to get the pumpkin shake. Great customer service rarely you come across someone who is eager to serve a customer to the point that l felt compelled to write this review. read more

GN--- I see you among all the tantalizing cupcake shops and the women's clothing mecca. Out for a nice Sunday stroll, well if you call a 4 mile walk uphill to get to your destination a stroll, I was happy to run into a GNC. Nutrition stores always seem to pop up among the women's clothing stores and malls. Glaring into the sun...could it be or am I just delirious? Yes, a GNC! Now this is my kind of store (could you guess from my 4 mile stroll?) Why this GNC is awesome: -Service: Get this, I've been to some great GNCs, good ones, and just plain ugly. Those that are plain ugly get that ranking because of customer service, as do those that are great! -- Amit, the owner, makes this GNC great! He knows his stuff and showed me some product they carry that the typical GNC doesn't. He can hold a good protein convo, and even admitted to that a certain competitor's store (which shall not be named) had great prices. (Hey, he said it.) Anyway, a straight up knowledgeable and honest guy. -Product: He told me about a couple upcoming things I didn't even know existed....a rarity with my wealth of protein knowledge. -To quote a real estate agent, "location, location, location": A great location on Chestnut Street. It, by far, is not the largest store, but a solid selection. What makes a store good - the product. What makes a store great - the service! read more

Amit is so friendly and always recommend the the right stuff. Very caring and nice service.

I've never left a review of a GNC store before, as I generally regard them as on the pricier end of supplement chains, with not much setting them apart from Vitamin Shoppe and online retailers. However, I recently moved to the area of the Marina location, and had the pleasure of meeting Amit. He took the time to really question what I was looking for, and he's always polite, friendly and doesn't pressure me to a particular brand or product. I'll definitely keep on coming here now- thanks Amit! read more

Sweet, friendly service felt like I was in a ma-and-pa shop. Almost forgot I was in (my beloved) San Francisco!

This place deserve more than 5 stars For the first time in Gnc I felt that the person was helping me he's not doing it for sales . He was very knowledgeable about the products. And I was about the buy something expensive and he advised me to get the right supplement with a lot of honesty even is a way cheaper. He was not trying to sale as much he's trying to advise which is very hard to find in our days . He was very confident polite and friendly and even truly respecting the COVID with wearing the right mask . I highly recommend t this Gnc specially if you're trying to have some information about the product . read more

I stopped in here just looking for some protein bars to beat that mid-afternoon sugar craving. I came away with a really good experience, and decided to write a review. The super-friendly staffer (was he actually the owner? I forgot to ask) was helpful and knowledgeable about ALL his products. There was no hard sell. In fact, quite the opposite - he steered me clear of buying some things I really didn't need. Some of the products are a bit daunting (really BIG JARS) but the guy who helped me knows his products so well he can take you to exactly the product you need for the goal you want to reach. read more

Matt had to renew his Gold-Card Membership from GNC. The Gold-Card Membership allows you to get 10% off any item(s). This promotion occurs the first 7 days of every month at any GNC in the planet. Matt went to the GNC just to buy the Mega Man Multi-Vitamin. Matt is a firm believer of Multi-Vitamin, because it prevents you from getting sick , increase sex-drive and makes your urine turn bright yellow. Probably that is the reason why the product is effective with many postive feedbacks. The 90 capsule container suggested retail price is $16.99. But the product is discounted 10% off the first week of the month with the Gold-Card. The renewal fee costs $10.00 and was honored with the discount the same day, so there is no need for Matt to buy anything next months at the GNC. read more

Even in this neighborhood, I feel like a meat head walking out with two tubs of protein powder and a box or two of protein bars. This is the only GNC I've seen that carries my favorite brand of protein powder. Yeah, I have a specific brand I buy. It's chocolate-y and delicious and creatively named "Max Protein." I mix it into almost everything. Don't judge me. The guys that work there are friendly. Plus, I had to review this place because no one else has yet. Face it: a place doesn't exist until it's on Yelp. read more

Ever go to a store and get the feeling that the folks that work there are clueless? Not at GNC Marina You go to a store seeking a certain product, only to find it or a comparable product to be "out of stock" Not at GNC Marina i am a vitamin-aholic. GNC Marina never lets me down. Customer service, product availability, knowledge about vitamins and supplements, and price - all 5 stars at this location. Thanks for the consistency - - - means so much to me!!! read more

Buying health drinks, protein shakes, and all that nutritious vitamin-exploding products can be overwhelming but given proper guidance and trust-worthy advisors, you can chill and have a relaxing shopping experience. This particular GNC shop along the Marina not only gives a customer a touristic ambiance but also allows a buyer to gain confidence on the people who run the business. Under the new management, this place is lookin' pretty spiffy! Lots of smiles, lots of friendly, professional health advice, and lots of goodness. Here's to fresh start and healthy living! read more

I love GNC stores in general, but this one tops them all. My first time there, I walked in and was greeted by the owner (Amit), who was super nice and knowledgeable. I had been wanting to buy a certain type of product, but I wasn't exactly sure which particular brands were best, so I asked him to steer me in the right direction. He showed me different brands, explained the pros/cons of each, and was honest in which product to go for. He even explained the benefits of taking this product, and told me to definitely pair it with multi-vitamins, which he threw samples of in my bag (score!). I liked his easy going personality, complete honesty, and knowledge. And guess what? He wasn't trying to just make a sale and convince me to buy a certain brand or spend a crazy amount of money! That's a huge plus for me. There was another staff member (Murray) who helped me pick out another product as well, and explained how/when to take it to get the best results. Obviously, another plus! I really enjoy when employees actually care about customers! So, yes my experience there was GREAT. They now have a long-time customer. I will definitely continue to go back! read more

I came into this place in desperate need of pre workout. The guy that was working gave me a really good consultation on what would be best for me! I believe he was the store manager! He even tried selling me on a role there! Loved his vibes! I found this place on Yelp! I usually get a certain type from Amazon but the timing didn't workout and this store didn't have it! He recommended something that I still use to this day and is better than what I had before! Great place! read more

I came in once or twice before the change in ownership and it was just a run of the mill GNC. But now that Amit has taken over, it's my only place to go for supplements. As a powerlifter, Crossfitter and personal trainer, I would highly recommend this location to any of my fellow athletes and to my clients as well. Also, when Amit isn't in, I'm always happy to see Uche. What a nice guy, and knows his stuff too. Overall just fantastic customer service without being overbearing in any way. I'm a very satisfied customer. read more

Incredibly helpful and friendly! The guys who run this store are always happy to explain any product and will be honest about what is best for your personal preferences. They truly understand the health business and will take the time to get to know their customer in order to provide them with the most beneficial information. I've gone there several times because their prices are unbeatable and the atmosphere of the neighborhood is very welcoming. What's also great is that they're not pushy like other sales people tend to be so I've always felt like I'm talking to a friend rather than the staff. The size of the store seems small but personally it feels better because it's not as intimidating as other GNC stores that I've gone to. Recommend it to everybody because they sell more than just workout products but also some essential oils that I couldn't find in other stores which was a bonus! read more

I believe we were met and greeted by the owner, who told us he had the least expensive Quest Bars around as we were looking at them. Boy, was he right, the price was the lowest I have seen anywhere, that's even with a coupon. I usually don't patronize GNC's because you need to pay for a gold membership just to get something that is already overinflated in my humble opinion. If shipping works out to the east coast, I will gladly offer my business to this store. It's nice to see a no nonsense, low price offers on a popular product. When we stopped by another GNC in SF so we could reload our supply, we just walked out after waiting the price check, it started off at $59/box, then $39.99, and then the gold price of $28.99 read more

Amit and Uche are the reason why I exclusively shop here. Aside from the great selection of products (which they know down to the milligram), they're extremely helpful in understanding your goals, remembering them each visit, and helping you strategize toward future gains/ losses. I'll never order online again, as long as I have access to the fitness concierge of Uche and Amit. Part of their charm is the zero-pressure environment they've created within the store. Thank you both for making each visit enjoyable and informative. Cheers, Manton read more

These guys are very helpful and are always in a upbeat mode...they know there stuff and will answer any questions...kudos, guys!!

This GNC is the only location that gives me a discount/hook up whenever I simply ask them and they never push me to buy a card/membership or any product that I don't need. This is why I can shop here instead of going online. They have even price matched Amazon for me and I have also been given free products before. I have never had that happen at any other store and that's why I'm loyal. read more

I only shop at this GNC location. I am a serious weight lifter and athlete, and I use a lot of supplements (I spend around $2k per year on supplements). Even though this is a smaller store, the friendliness of the staff far outweighs lack of square footage. If you go there, be sure to seek advice from Elliot. He is honest, well informed, and will not try and sell you products that you don't need. Even though there are other locations in SF that are closer and more convenient for me to get to, I always drive the extra distance to frequent this store. read more
