Store is really small with a few aisles to make your shopping trip quick. It absolutely felt like I was in a time capsule (in a good way) but this place has tons of great food items and harder to find cooking items. This is THE PLACE to shop at if you're a vegan or have strict dietary restrictions. From soaps, essential oils, veggies, ice cream, cereals, energy drinks and so much more, this place has it all. It's definitely pricey but it's worth a visit and a greater alternative to the Fresh Thyme market near by.

An employee interrupted another customer mid-transaction to confront me, spoke to me in a condescending and accusatory tone, and singled me out for receipt verification. When I asked whether other customers checking out at the same time would also be questioned, I was explicitly told no. I was the only customer treated this way, while similarly situated white customers were not questioned or stopped. The interaction was humiliating and created a hostile and discriminatory environment in a public place of business. I immediately filed a corporate complaint, which has been escalated to the District Manager, and I have also filed a formal complaint with the Illinois Department of Human Rights. No customer should be publicly accused or selectively targeted after paying for their items. ALDI needs to take accountability and ensure meaningful staff retraining so this does not happen to anyone else.
