First of all, the door was still locked at 10:15am when I got there. I wanted to buy a box of Barebells protein bars, had a coupon for $10 and also a reward for $5. Since there were no sealed boxes in stock, he said he couldn't give me the box price. Then for 12 barebells, he charged me over $85. I told him that was ridiculous and to charge me again. He then came up with $36, then finally agreed to charge me the box price. It took quite a while to get to this point, so I'm only giving this store one star. "I've only worked here two weeks" says the guy who was utterly unable to help the customer before me. Turns out, he's unable to help anyone. Shelves are bare. Stock has been delivered, but is still in boxes blocking the aisles. So, they may have what you want, but are unable to sell it to you. Awful business practice. read more

Stopped into this location because I was in the neighborhood and completely exhausted and wanted an energy drink, but I don't think I'll be going back. Colleen was definitely knowledgeable about the current promos and location of products, but I was super put off by how pushy and passive aggressive she was. I understand trying to get new email signups, but there's no reason to respond, "It's not okay, but I guess I have to let it slide" when someone says "it's okay" on buying more and/or signing up for email rewards. I don't get why people on here are bashing Colleen she is amazing Im glad she is there every-time I go there. She is so helpful, I think everyone on here might be a little bit soft because after going here for so long that is just her sense of humor. Although this retail location appears to be stocked with merchandise, the staff seems disinterested in helping. They would prefer to assist clientele who are on the thinner / fitter/ younger side of life. Anything else they really don't have the attention span for. As witnessed on multiple visits. [Head Shake] Before I dropped a chunk of mass I ventured into this store. I would have spent the world and the moon that day. (The mgr of sales in training at my gym had sent me over to "invest" in protein what not.) I had a very specific product to purchase and a list of other "maybes". Yeah, this is before I started eating clean. Anyway, I had some questions. But the same very tall, dark haired lad, had to help a gal. With her cell phone. And then with mints. And some other critical stuff. I get it. Flirting. Sure, on the job. Go forth, do that. But when I finally had his attention, he had the audacity to be annoyed. At the actual paying customer. (vs. the gal that works next door and pops in all the time.) Hoy Vey. Kids. I get 'ya. But help the old ones with their wallets wide open next time. I got into working out and three times I went here they just tell me what to buy instead of explaining to me what does what it or what works especially I'm new to this. I bought a pre workout and instead of telling me how it works and breaking it down for me they just wanted to make a sell. Didn't know that I have to wait 30 to 60 min before a workout. I took some and started working out and now my skin is on fire. I feel all itchy and my skin is all irritated. I was lookin like a damn cracked head in the gym and people staring at me. Just left this place LAUGHING MY ASS OFF!!! I walked in to look for DEXTROSE. DEXTROSE POWDER. They didn't have it when i looked around. No big deal right? THe store is nice, has a lot of products. BUT, the guy who worked inside, looked like he worked out, and looked intelligent. Tall, built, dark haired white guy. He told me yea they don't carry it. He offered to help me find a place that carries dextrose. He looked it up and told me nothing came up when he typed in "D-E-C-S-T-R-O-S" I intentionally gave him a weird look and said no its spelled DEXTROSE. He said aww cmon Gimme a break i'm off one letter. He looked it up and still nothing. I said uh that's weird.... try, D-Glucose. Nothing came up. He said yea never heard of it all my years here. Never open on time. Instead of opening 5-10 min early they prefer to open 5-10 min late. It's so annoying for an early riser that gets up on the weekends early for a workout and like to hit up gnc to get my products because that's the best time for me because of my schedule. read more

Terrible experience the second I walked in. I've never had such shitty service in my life. The lady working was extremely passive aggressive and rude and seemed like she just wanted to close up shop and get me out of there (it was only 7:15). She didn't offer to help me at all and made me feel so uncomfortable with how verbally rude she was being during check out. She also got mad that I didn't want to purchase one of the items because of the price and wanted to look elsewhere. Sorry if you're having a bad day but you don't need to take it out on your customers... I just came in looking for low carb protein powder. The associate (Trevor) was nice and said hello, I told him I was looking for low carb protein powder and takes me to what I thought was a low carb option. He proceeds to tell me this protein has great taste. He steps away and when I look at the nutrition facts he had actually suggested one of the highest carb proteins ‍, I asked him if he had anything lower and says "i don't think we have anything like that". I go outside to google more options, come back and ask him if the carry Isopure which is ZERO carbs and he goes "oh yeah we do"... ummm did you not just say you did not have anything like that? He was nice but he never tried to show me different options (like I had asked him) and then shows me the completely opposite of what I asked for. GNC please train your employees! read more

Very nice store - small but well stocked, organized and clean. My first visit was on 01.02.17 and Colleen was working. Second visit was on 01.13.17 and Joel was working. Both were very nice and knowledgeable. Colleen went above and beyond to help me get things figured out regarding my rewards account. She offered several suggestions regarding supplements I was looking for and did not pressure me to buy the most expensive (I've had that experience at other GNC's). The store was busy on my visit yesterday but Joel did a great job in helping customers and making sure everyone was acknowledged - just a really polite young man. I came in to make an exchange from a forced sale of something at the last GNC I was at. The salesman here was very helpful and recommended products in alignment with what I was looking for. However, when making the exchange he would not honor the $10 off coupon I used on my original purchase less than a week ago. He said he did not have the code. I've worked in sales for years and I know that isn't right. There's always a way to honor the coupon!! I was traveling and in Phoenix for a couple of days and didn't bring my pre-workout formula. I stopped in at this GNC to purchase some for my trip. The store employee that helped me asked me a few questions once I stated what I needed and that my other pre-workouts were starting to make me nauseous sometimes. She also works out and told me that it was likely the artificial coloring causing It. She also asked how long my workouts last and helped me select an option that would best suit my needs. She didn't try to sell me anything I didn't want either which I really appreciated. BTW the pre-workout is perfect, no nausea and I'm still using it on my trip. I rarely leave reviews but I was impressed and really appreciated dealing with someone that was able to help me. Supplements are hard to navigate and I think you will get good guidance from someone that uses them as well. When I'm back in Phoenix I will be stopping by to support them so they're around when I need them in the future. read more

Went in there for some L-Arginine. First off, it's tremendously overpriced. I usually get my supps from Prosource.net, but slipped up and ran out. Second, the clerk/greeter/expert (whatever they call their people) had no idea what it was. It's only a staple in the supplement world, a key ingredient in EVERY pre-workout on the market.
