I like this GNC a lot mainly because of the staff . It is might fault that I don't remember names but today we were helped my Hugo . He has helped us out before but just wanted to give him a shout out. The moment we walked in he was offering his help right away. This GNC has a really good selection of products and is really neat and organized . They have some frozen meal preps that I use to buy that are bomb. Some of them are Keto, but I have not tried. I have only had the regular ones. Today I bought the lit enegry drink because it is stimulant free. Can't wait to try it out tommorow at the gym. There staff is beyond helpful will answer questions, make recommendations and Really explain benefits of products. They break it down no matter if this is your first time going to a gnc or if you go to them every payday. They really care about there customers and really make a connection with everyone that comes in. I cant tell you how many times they have given me a free sample just for curiosity about a product. I don't know, I've gone into this store twice in the past 3 months, both times I have found the floor walker to be sullen and unwelcoming. --The first time: when I entered, some "tough" guy, a slender fellow, about 5'9 tall, with dark hair of about 22 years of age, greeted me with a strained "Whadda ya need?" Annoyed and my money spending-buzz thoroughly killed, I said, "Where's your Soap?" As I was browsing through their soap stock, an older lady walked in, about 50 years old, and tough guy became a pussy cat: I heard him loudly say, "How are you? Welcome to GNC! Can I help you find anything?" So I bought 1 bar of Dr. Bronner's instead of the 4 or 5 I intended for I was upset with tough guy's unprofessional and inhospitable job conduct: Are you listening GNC?: At about $5 per soap bar, tough guy's nonsense cost you about $20 or $25. As the old "Jerry Springer" show slogan goes, 'Where do they find these people?' --The second time was the other day, May 1 or 2 I believe it was. I walked in and a heavy set guy of about 35 years old came out and looked at me; no smile, no words. Could I have interrupted something? I asked him where the soap was, thinking they might have rearranged their layout. I had to repeat myself 3 times because he thought I was asking "Where's the salt?" I had my mask on. Three other people (in two parties) entered the store right after me, but as I turned to look at the soap--their selection and number of items in stock suck by the way--the guy stood there and kept staring at me like some kind of weirdo. Perfect location right across the street from the gym so it's convenient for me to buy my pre and post workout drinks they have in the fridge nice and cold! Customer service here is great, the guy at the counter really took his time to answer all of my questions and help me pick my new favorite pre-workout mix. Holy sh*t! I hate this GNC! I came in back in June to use one of my quarter coupons that was close to expiring. My emails go away after 3 days on my phone so I took screen shots of the coupon with all information they could possibly need. Well when I went to pay for my stuff and use the coupon, they said I couldn't because I didn't have the original email. I'm assuming they thought I was trying to use someone else's account or coupon. Obviously I had given them my phone number to look up my account and they could've asked for my ID to verify my name. Nope. I couldn't use the coupon and I was in dire need of protein so I ended up purchasing what I had gathered and my coupon ended up expiring. Well then a few months later, I came back to buy more protein and holy f*ck they were super pushy!! I already know what protein I wanted but was deciding on flavor. Well one guy comes out of nowhere and asked, "have you tried this one? It has less sugar!" Of course it was their brand. I said, "no, thank you. I know what I'm getting." Then as I'm walking to the register, someone else comes to me and it was pretty much the same situation. Then once I get to the register, SAME EFFING SITUATION!! These people seriously need to lay off. I haven't gone back since then. They're way too pushy. They need to learn to back off. read more

Located in the Downey Promenade this GNC offers a great selection of supplements compared to other GNC locations. This shop is on the smaller side but they pack it with everything you need to supplement your workouts. I was actually surprised to see how much product they carry as I've been to other bigger locations with half the selection. Came to GNC in Downey at the promenade and was immediately greeted by Jose. My husband had previously came to this location and spoke to Jose already. When we told them we wanted to exchange flavors he immediately let Kathy know and I was in and out the store in less than 5 minutes! But apart from that, their customer service was above nd beyond! They didn't need my drivers license , they gave me an even exchange meaning they weren't trying to charge me like the la habra location was. Came here after my workout looking for some protein, I had seen some advertisement and came in asking for it but once Ruben started talking to me about my weight goals and workout he recommended a different type of protein GNC AMP Sustained Protein Blend in Cinnamon Toast flavor, very low on calories and the flavor was great even with water! I'm very picky on flavors but this was so good! I appreciate him taking the time to talk to me about what my fitness goal was and recommending a different protein. Customer service was on point, friendly, and very clean. After making my purchase, he allowed me to use their body composition fat analyzing scale which is REALLY COOL!! It tells you everything! I went in one night to find some new vitamins I need to take. I took the paper my doctor gave me with the ingredients list the vitamins need to contain, I showed it to the female employee that was working that night she read it and found the right vitamins for me shorty after. I've gone to many gnc, vitamin world and supplement shops but this was by far my best experience ever! The customer service went above and beyond. Went in for some multivitamins, walked out with a whole lot of knowledge. Jose gave my bf and I a free body composition analysis; it explains our BMI, body fat percentage, weight, amount of water in body and it even keeps your body composition history. He explained we can go back in a month and see how much we've improved! We live a few blocks away, so this has definitely become our go to spot from now on. read more
