On the call, I was offered an apology for how the experience made me feel; there was no acknowledgment of the massage therapist's actions or any assurance that the issue would be addressed. It was clear they didn't truly understand the situation or have an ethical process for handling it, leaving me feeling embarrassed for spending $120 here. If you have specific care needs or any unique situations, I would think twice before booking here. This experience was dismissive and showed space for improvement in situations like mine. I want others to know so they can make an informed decision about whether this is the kind of service they want to support. I cannot handle scented products - I have an allergic reaction to them due to some chronic conditions - and so Devi stocked and has maintained unscented shampoo, conditioner, and hair oil so I can still have a wash and dry at the end of my cuts! They also are the only person in the space besides me and are willing to mask upon request, so it's still a COVID-safe option in 2025. Hooray for disability justice! She is the first barber I've had in almost 20 years that cuts my wavy hair with out understanding anything more than a buzz. In my case, I let my hair grow for 15 months during the covid incarceration(s). When I decided to get a trim, one "stylist" either did not listen or was eager to just give me a weed-eater special and get me out the door. Devi was able to fix that. Her cuts are predictable time to time. That is important and often lacking in hair cutters. Besides having a real knack for hair, she is a fine-artist who paints. (check her work out on instagram). Her artisit's eye is obvious in how she cuts hair. It's a one-chair shop that's enclosed within a tattoo parlor. There is good, off-street parking. She cuts both men and women's hair - by appointment. Both will be equally happy with the cuts and style she gives. With her talents she will do very well! Ladies and Gents, give her a try!
