I live in Las Vegas and I am here visiting my sister. I needed an acrylic fill and gel polish. I am beyond happy with my nails! The young gentleman that took care of me did a fantastic job. It was obvious he knew what he was doing, but when I asked for small things that are particular to my personal preferences he was quick to adapt and oblige. It was a genuine family atmosphere. There were young children playing, and having fun. If that bothers you, I wouldn't suggest it. A few playful screams here and there. But the salon itself was clean, comfortable and welcoming. Very friendly. When I come back and visit my sister, if I need my nails done while I'm here, I will certainly return to this establishment. The price was better than all the places I called. They were super quick and the quality is super good. the workers and the vibe was super relaxed and fun.

I don't like doing this to small businesses but this was terrible service. First, she removed my existing dip by ripping off my real nails and picking it off herself. The reason I come to a salon to do this is to have it professionally done to not ruin my nails. Then there were flies EVERYWHERE and this experience was not at all relaxing. Then she tried to charge me more than she initially told me bc she didn't think I was paying attention and made me give her 5 stars on google reviews before leaving in order to get my 10% first time discount. The lady who did my nails was pissed I didn't want acrylics and I could tell the entire time I was getting my nails done. She took the electric nail file to my cuticles and I kept saying ow. She didn't let up. To the point where my friend decided to not get her nails done. She threw my hands around, never put lotion on, never cleaned up my nails and then charged me $50! 4 days later, my nails broke off in my sleep....not going back here. read more

They do really good detail on acrylics and nails in general. I've gone here twice and my experiences were about the same. The first time I went here and got acrylics was okay, I got some a little long and they continuously throughout the appointment came over looked and laughed which was weird but I'm not too bothered. They looked good and we're straight with was all I cared about. The second time, i got about the same length and no one came over to laugh. However my nails are super crooked and the process of this one was more hurtful than it was before or at other salons ive gone to for acrylics. I have been coming to this salon for the past half year and consistently have gotten amazing manicures both acrylic and natural ones. I have yet to try a pedicure but at some point may give it a try. While my experiences have been great, I feel I have had the fortune of getting some amazing nail techs. They always take their time and check in with me frequently about the shape, color or pattern I am requesting. I really appreciate them checking in on these things! I have even had them redo a nail if they feel it doesn't look right. I always feel so satisfied coming out of their salon. I did a walk-in and had zero wait time. Great color selection as well. But some BIG red flags/negatives. You'll see in the images, my skin was cut multiple times. Worried about a possible infection on my thumb (it bled the entire appointment). Still had to pay full price. This is 3 days post appointment and my cuts still hurt. Also, I worry about the sanitation here. My nail tech took out her tools in an already opened blue sanitation package (it should be sealed). Be very careful coming here. Horrible experience. I went twice. The first time I was suprised they didn't have me wash my hands before the dip. They didn't even do my cuticles or clean under the nail. But the application was fine and she did the hand rub. Lee was the lady. Then I came back. I had the manager. OMG Horrible. I asked can I wash my hands first? He said no. Literally. No. He wasn't even paying attention, just rushing.. he picked off what old dip he could and then drilled or filed the rest. The picking was very uncomfortable and bad for the nails. I noticed one nail was really thick and showed him.. So he filed it a bit. Still thick. I had to ask him to get it better and he seemed annoyed. The nails aren't even and my hands feel dirty under the nails. No hand oil or cuticle oil no massage nothing. To top it off some lady came in super mad. Like SUPER mad, livid. Saying she wanted something fixed and they told her no (something like that) and how she's a nail tech and you don't treat customers like that. Now I can't say if her complaint was legitimate. But after my experience I'll say it was probably based on some fact. read more

I went here with a friend this past week. I've lived in FoCo for over 20 years and have tried about 8 nail salons. Glossy is on the bottom for me. The women technicians did not appear to be using sterilized tools!!!! The tools were in the bottom of their baskets. In most salons the tools come out of a sterilized package. The callous scraper was also loose and didn't appear sterilized. We both got pedicures. Mine was painful. The technician was rough. Dug her gloved nails and tools into my toes. She also scraped off skin on the side of my foot. I do hope I don't end up with a fungal infection. I will not be back. Too many other better choices in FoCo. read more

Linda did a great job with doing the design I asked for. After looking at the pic she was able to freehand the design to make each nail special. For a longer full set of acrylics with a design and gel it was about $95. There was a bit of a push to get gel and she did nic my fingers a couple times but nothing terrible. I went to Glossy Nail today, I have tried several places in Fort Collins since moving here, and I have been disappointed with all of them. But today, I finally found a wonderful salon, with a fantastic technician. Her name is Kim, my nails were done absolutely beautifully. She was very careful, and gentle, (I have bad arthritis) and my nails look fantastic. They are thin, which is what I wanted, I hate big thick acrylic nails, they look awful and fake. The nails Kim did today look completely natural and real. After looking for 7 months, I have finally found the best nail salon, and best nail tech. I am really happy. I've had several great experiences here! It's not fancy by any means, but during multiple visits the nail technicians have done a great job in cleaning up cuticles & cutting nails to avoid ingrowns, and evenly applying polish. I'm also impressed with their hand/foot massages that come with the mani/pedi as they actually know how to apply pressure, unlike many nail places. They use plastic covers in the foot soak stations which helps with cleanliness, and clean off tools before using them. Like I said, it is not fancy inside and the decor is pretty mixed, but they have lots of seats, lots of people working, and tend to have availability either as a walk in visit or calling a bit ahead. Prices are decent for this area and the location has plenty of parking. read more

My mom, sister and I found this nail salon and thought we'd give it a try since we were visiting Fort Collins. It was not very busy when we went in on a Wednesday morning, they helped us right away and were very kind. We all got pedicures and were very happy with them! Once I got back to our rental I realized that my toe ring was missing and was devastated but remembered seeing it when they were doing my nails. I called and the girl who answered was so nice and said they would look through the wax bags and everything to see if they could find it. At first they said they didn't but a few hours later they called back and found it! I was so happy and grateful they took the time to find my ring and I really appreciate it. I really really really hate to be this person, but the experience I just had a Glossy Nails was really disappointing. My nails are uneven, and my thumbs are significantly shorter than the rest, and very lopsided and lumpy. I asked for a design and they said it could be done but it was clear that that was not the case after it started being painted on. I completely understand not everything is doable, but being honest about it would have saved time and money. I just am really disappointed, not only are my nails not what I asked for or wanted, but I was also nicked with the tools multiple times. I waited 30 mins to get my nails done (acrylics) and they were so bad not to mention the fact that I asked how much it would be when I went in I was told $35 perfectly fine and okay with that but once I went to go pay they said $55 and I was like I was told $35 and they were like "it's $55" and wasn't even worth it! My nails were so bad they were bleeding and my acrylics were crooked and the sides were not even painted so uneven! I will never go back i wouldn't even refer them to my worst enemy, and I have very low standards. Don't be fooled by their Google reviews. Everyone I've talked to knows not to go to this place. The nails look alright. I asked for almond but the shape is more boxy. They are very uneven. The place looks nice on the inside, but nails are very hit or miss. The man who did my nails cut me and made me bleed on pretty much every finger, but he never apologized once. Came here for a pedicure while visiting for a football game and had a very nice experience. The primary reason this review is a five is because even though I have had hundreds of pedicures in my life, I have never seen or had a cooling gel used. It's this blue, slick menthalesque thing they use post sugar scrub that makes you all tingly and feels smooth and soft. Honestly, for 35$ bucks you get a bang for your buck. Do not go here to have your nails done. I went on Monday for a full set. The nail tech was rude and left my nails lumpy and didn't even do the design I asked for. They started lifting so I called and they said they would fix them. I go in this morning and they had me pick a color and the tech starts clipping off the tip and then they tell me it will be $30.. I had already paid for a full set three days ago and they are asking for money to fix their mistake.
