I was pleasantly surprised that there was genuinely no catch. No pressure to put a credit card on file, no gimmicks, and no aggressive sales pitch afterward. It was my first time trying infrared therapy and overall a really nice experience. They don't take appointments for the sauna, so I called ahead and then walked in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They quickly went over the logistics and safety information before bringing me to the room, where the temperature was already set and the light was on. They also had a robe laid out and ready. I stayed in for about 30 minutes, though I believe the maximum session is around 45 minutes. The experience was very relaxing and felt less intense than a traditional sauna. It creates more of a gradual internal heat rather than the heavy, suffocating feeling that can come with standard saunas. I'd definitely do it again. They also mentioned they have sister locations in the Northeast as well.

They offer a level of quality and consistency with their work that is unmatched among other salons, and which really takes away the anxiety of getting a spray tan before a big event. I did my first spray with Jenni two days before my college graduation, and I was so nervous I'd leave the salon streaky or orange, effectively ruining all the pictures I'd have to take at my ceremony. I'm really type A and a huge perfectionist about style/appearance, so it's always hard for me to find places I can trust to hold themselves to the same standard as I do. Fortunately for me, my spray came out PERFECTLY, and looked fantastic. Jenni was so helpful and sweet, and made me feel so comfortable. The tanning experience itself was quick and easy, and I was in and out in less than half an hour. The day I got my first spray also happened to be one of the only days of the year that it was pouring rain in LA, so of course I managed to smudge several areas on my legs 20 minutes after I left the salon. I texted Jenni panicking, but she assured me the smudges were probably just the bronzing agent, not the actual tan itself, and that I'd probably be fine once I rinsed off in the morning. If not, she said I was welcome to come back to the salon the next day, and she would fix any problem areas or streaks I had, free of charge. This immediately put me at ease, and I was able to save myself from hours of anxiety as I waited for the tan to develop. The next day, the tan was in fact fine, just as Jenni had assured me, and it looked so flawless and natural. I still go back to look at pictures from graduation sometimes, just to reminisce on how good that tan looked :) Now I go to SKJ any time I have a big event, premiere, or party I need to attend, and I'm always able to go in with the confidence that my tan will come out beautifully. All of the girls on the SKJ team are sweet, attentive, and talented, but if you are able to make a request, I'd recommend Jenni or Mackinlee. Mackinlee did my most recent spray, and she made me feel so at ease during the entire experience. She took her time and applied the tan so precisely, and the final product looked amazing. After she was finished, she let me inspect myself in the mirror to make sure I was happy with every part of the tan, and offered to do a few extra coats on my face and hands (since those areas always lighten up quickly for me). She even texted me the next day to make sure my tan was looking great, and said I was welcome to stop by the salon if I needed any touch ups (of course I didn't, but it's so nice of them to offer the option). The tan lasted for longer than a week before it started lightening up, and even when it did, it faded naturally and subtly. No splotchiness, no looking like I have some sort of weird skin disease - it was perfect. Can't recommend her enough. I'm so grateful for these girls for always making sure I look my best, no matter what the occasion. Definitely the best spray tan place in all of LA. Check it out - you won't regret it!

I had such a wonderful experience with Mary! She did my hair and soft glam makeup, along with a deep conditioning treatment that left my hair feeling incredibly soft, smooth, and shiny. Everything turned out beautifully -- I felt so confident and put-together. The makeup was light and comfortable, yet held up perfectly all evening. My hair looked healthier than ever, and the style was exactly what I had hoped for. Mary is not only super talented but also warm, kind, and easy to talk to. She even shared helpful hair and makeup tips I can use at home, which was such a thoughtful bonus. I'm already looking forward to my next visit -- planning to book a haircut with her soon. They deserve the credit for every compliment you will get after spending an hour here. I booked an appointment on short notice and high hopes, and they succeeded in both. The airbrush foundation lasted till the wee hours, and the individual lashes that I was very nervous about staying on for a few hours lasted THREE DAYS! Great atmosphere there; even though it's in a ritzy-ish area, they aren't the least bit stuck up. Here is the best part- I needed hair done in the next 45 minutes, so she called a nearby salon she knew and got me an appointment right away. The work they did made my night! read more

Today, I brought in a picture from the JCREW magazine and asked to have that same haircut. Lawrence took a look at the picture and did exactly what I asked for. He is super amazing - whether it be a short haircut or a "madmen" (long 1950's on top) haircut - he knows what he is doing! I've seen his haircut on all kinds of guys (races) and he knows how to handle hair to make you look your best. (Ladies - he also knows how to give a lady a great haircut also!). ... Speaking about ROCKSTAR - Lawrence is also a rockstar / lead singer from the popular band, The Wayward Sons. If you ask him politely enough, he will belt out some songs while he cuts your hair. Super talented guy! You get it right? He's a musician and he is super in touch with fashion, so he knows how to rock out your hair. Lawrence will also tell you some jokes during your haircut to make you laugh and enjoy the experience. Most of his jokes kinda suck, but I laugh to just make him feel good! (Just kidding!). I drive 45 minutes each way (to & from) to get a haircut from Lawrence. He is THAT good! I also want to mention that I get my manscaping (eyebrows only) by Mayumi. She is a super talented beautician who knows how to clean up a guy's looks without making him look too "sculptured". I have a very sensitive eye area, and oftentimes bruise easily. But Mayumi has always handled me with care and tenderness, and helps me look like a million bucks (at least *I* think so anyways, hahah). She's affordable and super sweet. Finally, I wanted to mention several more things: ** The salon is CLEAN! ** Everyone here is FRIENDLY and like a family! ** The salon owners are super good to their clients (come'on, wine, softdrinks or iced water in fancy glass cups while you cut your hair?). HOLLAH! ** The receptionist, James, is super nice and will always make your services work within your time schedule. He's hecka funny! ** Other stylists in the salon are just as super talented! Nikki - I'm coming to you the moment Lawrence isn't in town to cut my hair. Tell him to go on vacation!
