She tisk-tisked at my hair and made me promise to be better about maintaining my colour and trims. She and another stylist remarked that it would be very difficult to try and match the faded colour with a new one and have it be seamless. After a very patient four hours, she managed to make my hair healthy, golden bright and gorgeous. With no lines or missing connections to the roots. I am so impressed and grateful to her. She was a referral to me from a mutual friend, a friend I cannot thank enough. This is my third colouring session with her, and by far the best. Thank you Laleh. I've been going to Beki for I-tip extensions over the past 9 months. She's always been kind,…read moreaccommodating, and genuinely sweet- she even helped me out last minute after a bad haircut earlier this year, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, I've had ongoing issues with the quality and installation of the extensions. I was told the hair was high-quality European hair and sourced from the same supplier that top salons use, but in my experience, it didn't seem to be. The extensions tangled constantly, felt extremely dry and brittle, and were always breaking off even with daily moisturizing and careful maintenance. They also didn't hold styling for more than 24 hours. I often had to detangle them multiple times a day, and they became so matted after one event that I had to remove them myself after a hired hair stylist couldn't even detangle them. Each new batch of hair and install cost $1,500+, and I went roughly every 6-8 weeks for a $500+ move-up. I was replacing the extensions every 18-24 weeks, which I now realize is much more frequent than high-quality extensions should require. The beads were not installed in uniform rows- they were placed randomly across my scalp, including on the crown, which made them visible and limited how I could wear my hair. I went to another stylist for a second opinion, and she pointed out that the hair had 3-4 inches of split ends even though it was only about a month old. She also mentioned that the strands looked much thicker than my natural fine hair and might not actually be Remy or cuticle-intact. I also had ongoing color match issues. The sets were consistently too light and warm for my natural tone, which was especially noticeable on camera (my job requires me to be on camera frequently). To compensate, I had to repeatedly dye and tone my own hair to match the extensions. I eventually paid for professional toning because the warmth and lightness still didn't match. I don't believe Beki is intentionally misleading anyone- she's a lovely person and I think she means well. But I do feel the hair quality, color matching, and installation methods weren't worth the cost, especially considering how quickly the extensions deteriorated. I'm sharing this to help others make an informed decision. I wish Beki all the best and hope she looks into improving the quality of the hair she sources and the installation and color matching process, because her kindness and customer care deserve to be matched by better results.

The best color I have ever had, stunning frizz-free waves, and a very reasonable price. I have been to a lot of salons in the area, and most have felt like an endurance test. At Curls One on One, I've found my dream salon. Not only is everyone friendly and inordinately talented, the salon itself is spacious and well-appointed. Like the reviewer before me, I also feel like hiring Mili was one of the best wedding planning decisions that I made for my day. I was a very, very particular bride, and although I'd been to many of the top salons in the Sacramento area, I didn't feel like anyone that I'd worked with in the past could cut it for my special day. So I went online and did extensive research into the top stylists in the area, and I stumbled upon Mili's website and portfolio and was floored! Her talent is utterly amazing. I knew that someone with her skill and extensive background in the editorial world who also happened to have a background in the bridal world was the one for me. Our first meeting started off with a haircut and wedding day consultation. She not only gave me an amazing cut and style, but she was planning for the future by preserving certain areas of my hair that she knew she'd need for hiding extensions later on. Her knowledge and eye for all things beauty is insane. We then planned a hair and makeup trial a couple months before my wedding, which went phenomenally. She took pictures at every angle, which she then sent to me with notes so that she could get my feedback on anything that I wanted to tweak. Her attention to detail and perfectionism is what truly made me feel like I had absolutely nothing to worry about on my wedding day. A week before the wedding, Mili gave me a final cut and color. She brought me back to my natural dark color, which I hadn't been for a while, and I loved it. When my wedding day came, Mili was the very first person to arrive at my venue, literally. She showed up early and went right to work on making my bridesmaids, mom, and MIL look the most beautiful I have ever seen or could imagine them. All the while, Mili was doing everything she could to help with the flow of the other vendors and to keep me as stress-free as possible. Since I had a few wardrobe and hairstyle changes throughout the day, Mili stayed all day to not only style me, but to touch up my bridesmaids all day long. I think she actually became an honorary bridesmaid, because all of my girls absolutely adored her! She was my right-hand woman and my saving grace that day! Her calming and uplifting demeanor made me feel like all the little things that went wrong didn't even happen. I was also lucky enough to have Mili style me for my day-after shoot with my photography team, and they couldn't say enough nice things about her either. With her experience working in TV, print, and photo shoots (and working with tons of celebrities, I might add!), she knew exactly what shots the photographer needed and put every strand of hair and every fold of wedding dress and veil fabric in its proper place. When I changed into a different outfit, she whipped my hair from being down into a beautiful up-do in less than 5 minutes. She is a magician with hair. My now husband's hair is getting a bit thin on top, and she has this stuff that she uses to make it seem like he has the thickest hair, and it stays put all day--even through the 100 degree heat and sweat! I recommend asking about it if someone in your wedding party is self conscious about their thinning hair. I'm blessed to have gotten to know Mili and to have been able to use her enormous talent on one of the biggest days of my life. Since I knew right away from my first meeting with Mili that I would hire her, I didn't get a chance to shop around much so I can't speak to how her rates compare to other hair and makeup artists. What I can tell you is that she's worth every penny. And that hiring her will be one of the best decisions you'll make for your wedding or special event. Just take a look at her portfolio :)
