The burgers are great (Burger Mondays), the Wannabe Shrimp is another great dish and then there is the boneless chicken wings which are on a whole other plane and the best I've ever had. Monday night where I checked myself into the ER at St Joseph's I ordered a burger from Glory Days from a kid named Jack. I talked to Jack earlier in the evening about coming and watching the Rays game or some of the sports TVs and I'd never eaten there before any game plenty of good suggestions. Well the night got later and later and about 13 minutes before closing time I called Jack back ordering my burger after he gave me the best option for the $11 I had left in my account. When I showed up because yes they let me order the burger 13 minutes before closing time, I meant the lady behind the bar who also hooked me up with a free drink. Between the two of them they made my night before I went and sat in the ER for 3 hours to figure out the medical issues that were going on with me. When I have a chance to go back and tip those two employees they will get the biggest tip that I can afford. The next time I'm in town and are able to enjoy a full meal sitting down watching the Rays game or the NBA finals, I will definitely ask for Jack and bartender. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you love good food friendly atmosphere or a sports fanatic like me and want some good service. read more

Food was great! Service is for the birds. Sat down menu no server . Then ordered 30 minutes later as I said food was great. No offer of 2nd drink since it was empty. Asked for bill . Had to go to bartender for paying as 30 minute's later still No wait staff. Had go pay bill in bar and that was a joke. No one at bar to serve and waiters and waitresses in corner talking but did not seem to care! Lots of staff but no people working. Will not grace those doors again. Went there on Sunday for the Bucs game. Crazy busy and packed. However, food was good and beer selection was nice. Waitress did good for being in chaotic environment. Lots of different games on the televisions and a diverse mix of football fans. Please bar all Patriots fans from entering the establishment in the future! Service and food have really gone down hill. When they opened was good...now meh...Last weekend went there with my son. Our wannabe shrimp came out with all the breading dripping off the shrimp. Greasy and nasty. The server brought it out and left it on table. I sent it back and she said, "yeah I hate it when the kitchen does that"..kind of like whateves! This was after she forgot to put in the order for about 15 mins and I had to ask about it. All this why assistant mgr was sitting in the corner bar booth having a cocktail. I ordered any 1st pick up order from here yesterday. Everything was bagged nicely. I got a baked potato, Boston clam chowder, and a chaser salad. I can't get over how delicious the clam chowder was. My only grip was there was an insane amount of garlic in the salad dressing, 3 bites and my tongue felt chopped up haha. Had to toss it :( but I can't wait to order more clam chowder! Sat at the only seat available at the bar. Ordered a beer. Real friendly bartender. I had a full rack of ribs, coleslaw and broccoli. Ribs were quite tasty and moist. We eat here regularly. We are always impressed by the manager Scot. He interacts with guests and is super helpful. We had a small issue when we where there a few weeks ago and Scot jumped in came to the table and made it right. Customer service sometimes a thing of the past - so it's a nice change. My husband and I eat here at least once a week. The food is always amazing and staff are great! We have had the smoked wings, fish tacos, ribs, Cesar salads (amazing) and the fish. Im not sure if there's something in the iced tea, but I have been singing "Glory Days" by Bruce Springsteen ever since we had lunch here today!! It was pretty quiet and not too many tables were taken so obviously there was no wait and we had our choice of nice big booths. The wait staff was really nice and had no problem recommending a few of the local favorites. I chose to listen to my inner 12 year old and cheat on my diet and go with the chicken fingers. I will say, they were awesome! Fries were good too. I pretty much drank my weight in iced tea and the waitress was really good about making sure I always had a full glass without ever having to ask. She even brought out a full glass of ice in case the tea melted it. Can't ask for much more than that!! read more

Salad came out with brown lettuce and lots of rind. I asked for extra dressing and our server told me to check it first. They had a new cook.On her third trip back to table, I asked again. My sandwich came out burnt with pieces of charred grill gunk.Even my husband, who will eat anything, said it wasn't good. What a disappointment for a rather new restaurant. After we were seated, we waited at least ten minutes for a server to ask about drinks, then another ten minutes to get the drinks, one of which was a sweet tea that was ordered as unsweet. Service was so slow it was comical. About 50 minutes after being seated, our dinner finally came. My son's waffles and chicken were cold, likely from sitting for a while. We flagged down a manager who offered to replace them, but that was another 20 minutes. We finally finished and asked for our check...that took ten minutes, plus another ten to run the card. Then as we were leaving, a hostess took two sets of unused silverware from a dirty table and placed them back in the caddy with new silverware. So why even two stars...the inside of this place is cool with many many televisions. read more

Something happened and I am not sure what because I have posted a review for this restaurant in March during the beginning of covid and loved the food and the seasoning. I decided to go again and the food was bland the dressing was ok. I also had to go into the restaurant and get my food in the back where the kitchen was and was able to see the grease coating the floor and tray tables. I've been to the Glory Days on Dale Mabry and in Odessa. I've had the pasta with chicken and also had the meatloaf. Both were okay portions and tasted fine. The location at Odessa brought out my main dish 2 minutes after starting my salad so I asked them to take it back. The manager came and apologized and said that I would get a totally fresh plate when I was ready. Plenty of TVs and a nice bar if that's your thing.
