Going to Glory Days Grill is always an easy decision for me. If I can't decide on where to go or just looking for a laid back, fun environment, hands down, Glory Days. This location in Brandon is not my usual spot. I frequent the New Tampa Glory Days way more often. Saturday night, my fiance and I wanted to go out but the place we picked, had a 2.5 hour wait. Glory Days was our second choice but a solid one. We arrived around 8pm and there was no wait. Luckily, we were only a party of two. The people waiting around to be seated were all one party of like 12. Our server was friendly and around quick for our drink order and appetizers. My fiance got the house sangria and I got the house margarita. We ordered the fried mac and cheese bites for an appetizer. The $5 margs are always on point. They are strong, large portions and cheap. With the salted rim, you can't go wrong with these. The Mac and cheese bites were good, there was about 8 in the basket and they were covered in their signature Glory sauce that is slightly spicy. For dinner, my fiance ordered the grilled chicken caesar salad and I ordered the "1988" sirloin. I opted for fries instead of the baked potato and also had a side caesar salad. The side salad came out first and it was good. Decent amount of dressing, the lettuce comes in small strips that are easy to eat and there was parmesan cheese strips on it. Decently sized for a side salad. Then our main courses arrived. My fiance's salad was large but she said it was just ok. Her standard for a chicken caesar salad is Cheddars and she said that this one was not as good. The chicken was ripped up into very tiny pieces and that made them less flavorful in the salad. My steak was also decent for $15 at a restaurant that doesn't specialize in steak. The flavor was there and it was cooked medium like I asked. The quality of the meat just wasn't top notch. I love Glory Days and always enjoy my meal here. I've had a good amount of items from their menu and I will continue to try new things from them. I don't think I would order their steak again but I've repeatedly ordered their wings and burgers. Sorry I didn't take pictures! read more

Had an hour lunch and tried to be proactive by calling out orders in.. fail - it was a group of 7 of us and an but 1 order was phoned in before we got in. It took entirely too long for us to get drinks and our food. We try to go to places near the office but we could have driven farther away and got quicker service. This place is great. They have good food good wait staff and the manager actually walks around to the tables and talks to the patrons. Tried this place for the first time last night via Uber Eats after getting home from a long day on the beach. Please note that we felt that the side items with their to go orders were tiny and we only got a couple of bites each out of them(we shared a meal).I love that they are open until midnight! See below for details of items ordered. Onion Rings: Big portion and super crunchy, boyfriend and I both enjoyed them. The real star was the sauce that accompanied them though, do not know the name of it because it just came automatically with the sauce but I will be asking for extra of this sauce next time for sure! Chicken tenders: These were fresh hand breaded not the frozen crap you get at allot of restaurants these days, highly recommend! Chicken itself was juicy and flavorful on the inside yet crispy and lightly breaded on the outside. Honey Mustard we got with it was just OK, I think they should add some garlic and a splash of ACV to it to make it really good, next time I will get the onion ring sauce for my chicken:-) Mac & Cheese: Didn't care for, it seemed old/greasy and noodles were completely mushy. I came for the margaritas! Their $5 margaritas are huge and delicious! I always get the frozen option and they have many flavors. Mango, strawberry, original etc. I sat at the outside seating in a group of about 10. Service was a bit slow but I think they were understaffed that day plus I had a large group The food was pretty standard bar food and tasted pretty standard for bar food. We came back for lunch today because I had a free desert reward. My husband had the fish again but had it grilled instead of breaded and fried which he enjoyed however the piece of fish was substantially smaller than the fried piece so either they use bigger pcs for the Friday fish fry or they use a whole lot of breading. I learned that on Wednesdays they have a Triple Crown Wednesday menu (you may have to ask for it) so you get a beverage (nonalcoholic) appetizer and certain menu items for a reduced price of between $11-$14. We came on a Friday evening, waited only about 20 minutes to be seated. The waitress was very attentive. I did not like my appetizer (Philly Egg Rolls) because unfortunately they didn't seem to have any cheese in them or at least we coukdn't see or taste it. I also personally feel it might go better paired with a cheese/queso dipping sauce as opposed to the asian sauce that comes with it. (But that's just my personal preference as I woukd not think of putting duck sauce or something like that on a Philly Cheesesteak). We also ordered the Macho Nachos and the Chipotle bbq wings which were both really good. I ordered the fish (half size) and it was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Perfectly cooked and the breading was nice and crispy! The portion for the half size was surprisingly big! What a great find on our way through Tampa!!! We walked in and were greeted by a big smile and the most attentive bartender Lisa. Such a sweet person, asking us about our day and if we had ever been there before. We told her it was our first time in there. Then within the next few minutes of us ordering an appetizer the manager Amanda appeared with an appetizer plate with all the favorites on it for us to sample!!! I've been in the industry 25 years and I don't think I've ever seen a place do that! What a great idea for new customers!! Our whole experience was awesome. Came in here today for a Christmas lunch work party. Sangria and Margarita were $5 all day everyday. So I had the white sangria, which I prefer to have the fruity sweet drinks. For appetizers i had the chicken quesadillas, which came out really good, no complaints. The teriyaki wings was flavorful, could've order more of this. For my main entree, I ordered the Glory Day's pasta with chicken, comes with a side so I had the Cesar salad. The salad had too much pepper and the chicken was just too salty. The noodles they used tastes like egg noodles, which I didn't like. My other coworkers had other entrees and they also said their entree had a little too much salt and pepper taste. Seems like the chef went salt and pepper shaker happy and over did it. Gave this place a 2star because my main entree was not that good. Came to see the Falcons game and to grab a bite, the hostess Jamilla (I probably spelled that wrong) was amazing and went above and beyond with everything and was so nice. Helped us with seating even though it was packed , I even misplaced my charger cord and she helped me with that , helped us get better seats to view the game for my boyfriend (it was only playing on one of the screens ) which made our experience that much better. A hidden gem we tried this place once for lunch and have been hooked ever since. The service is pretty good. I love the pretzels with the beer cheese it's really yummy and the wings are delicious but the sangria is to die for... it's my favorite I think of any restaurant that I've been to in the Tampa Bay Area. This is by far by favorite neighborhood restaurant to come to. It's a staple in my house because they have something for everybody. They service and food is always on point and you can't go wrong with all day EVERYDAY happy hour! Some of my favorite meals are the fish fry, Buffalo wings & Buffalo chicken sandwich. Glad to have found this hidden gem right on the Causeway. Been living 5 minutes from this place for over a year & my girlfriend just last night, while looking for something new, suggested we try it out. Once we walked inside, we were greeted by the hostess! She even gave me a compliment on my sweat suit, which helped lift my mood because I was, unbeknownst to her, having a rough day. Both were fire!! Next, we had a few questions about the food (mainly which was better, wings or the burgers) & she explained in depth about the premium burger patties, as well as her personal preference -- we got both! It was Sunday afternoon and I wasn't sure where to go for lunch. I don't generally like going to any kind of chain restaurant, but I am glad I stopped at this one. When I walked in I was heavily created by two or three workers and sat very quickly as it was not busy. As I was seated I had Plainview to multiple TVs in my section and a speaker to listen to any which station I cared to. The speaker's sound was a bit fuzzy and all the stations but I could still make out what was being said. I ordered some Fire Roasted wings as an appetizer, some Tangy Buffalo and the others Hot. I was a bit surprised when the wings came out, I had ordered 12 thinking that they were going to be small like a lot of other places I eat wings at, but these had a good amount of meat on the bone. Lightly Sauced with good flavor and a hint of smoking us from being cooked on an open flame. I also ordered the Glory Burger, medium, which was cooked perfectly. It had typical lettuce tomato along with onion rings and an egg... Soooooo full just thinking about it. Glory Days is a relatively new Sports Bar that is in the location that was previously occupied by Leroy Selmon's restaurant. I didn't know anything about it until arriving. Parking was not problem at 3:15 PM on a Saturday afternoon, and two young ladies held the doors open for my daughter and I to enter. Once inside the sports bar motif was evident. There were over two dozen large screen televisions on the walls, playing the Lightning Stanley Cup playoff game (they lost). The host quickly seated us, after asking out preference for bar area, booth, high top table, or low top table. Our impression was that the facility was well laid out, with high quality tables and chairs for a sports bar. Patrons appeared to be a cross section of all ages, and the noise level was loud as might be expected for a sports bar where a local team was playing live. Once seated we were quickly approached and given setups, menus, and asked for our drink orders. We were to learn shortly that this was done by a server that was helping out the one assigned to our table because he was busy at the moment. I pointed out to the server that there was a fairly large grease spot on the table cloth that had not been properly cleaned, and he quickly remedied this. Our drink orders were delivered within a few minutes, one coke, and two waters. Oddly drinks had straws in them with the paper wrapping properly removed leaving just a few inches at the top, but while the coke and one water had a straw, the second water did not have one. Our substitute server left at the point, and the rest of the review refers to our real assigned server, Brayan. Brayan appeared in a few minutes and asked if we were ready to order, but we asked for a few minutes more. Returning in about 5 minutes, we ordered: a Wannabe Shrimp appetizer, a dozen dry rubbed chicken wings, and a Nachos with chicken appetizer that my daughter intended for her main course. It didn't take long for the Wannabe Shrimp to appear. This was a generous order, a little spicy, but perfectly prepared. The dry rubbed chicken wings and Nachos were brought to the table, after the shrimp was consumed. The chicken wings were excellent, large, perfectly seasoned and cooked. I had ordered 12 wings, but could only finish half the order. The Nachos filled a large plate, and easily took the place of a main dish. I stole a few of my daughter's Nachos to taste, and the chips were crisp and freshly cooked, while the cheese, chicken, and rest of the concoction made for a pleasant eating experience. The only fault was that although the Nachos were ordered to hold the jalapenos, a few slivers of jalapenos snuck their way into the dish. During the meal Brayan check on us regularly, bringing me a new coke without being asked whenever mine was getting low. One of the signs of an excellent server. For desert I ordered the Chocolate Slide, and a cup of coffee. My daughter ordered the Banana Bread Pudding. Each came with a scoop of high quality vanilla ice cream on the plate. The Chocolate Slide is a piece of chocolate cake with chocolate filling, chocolate icing, and chocolate chips embedded in the icing. i.e. if you are overwhelmed by too much chocolate, this one is probably not for you, though I had no such problem consuming the entire thing. When Brayan next stopped to check on us, I pointed out that he had never brought me the coffee. He was very apologetic, saying that he had brewed a new pot, and forgot about it. After confirming that I still wanted the coffee he brought it quickly over and volunteered that I would not be charged for it. If this was a 5 star restaurant I would ding them for the few missteps, but this is a sports bar. The service was excellent, the food was excellent, and the true rating should be about 4.5 stars. I will return to try some of the other dishes, hopefully when there are no playoff games going on. read more

Although the establishment was utilizing distancing of the tables the area was utilized well and one would not know there was anything going on. Normally this is a good place to eat. Tonight my family had the worst service and dinner we've ever had here. We started with a large basket of fries which came out smaller than a dinner side portion. My side salad did not come out until the main entrees were brought to the table. Condiments were needed at that point, but did not arrive until much later. Most of the meal was spent without drink refills. One person in our party had endless boneless wings and asked for a reorder when our drinks were finally refilled. The reorder arrived lukewarm 40 minutes later. The server apologized for how long it took, but that was also the only time she came by the table during that time. She was quite quick when it came time to pay the bill. I left an appropriate 20% tip, but asked the greeter as we left if I could speak to the manager but there was none available. read more

I stumbled upon Glory Days while out shopping and I'm glad I did! I came around 7pm on a Thursday and it was not super busy. The staff all wore masks and there was hand sanitizer at the entrance. We were seated quickly and greeted by a friendly server. They had $5 24oz jumbo margaritas and I couldn't say no. We also got nachos for the table and our drinks and appetizer came out quickly. Note: this is a chain restaurant and the quality of food should be expected as much. It wasn't amazing but it was slightly above average and hit the spot. For dinner I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich and it was a hearty sandwich. The chicken over took the bun but it was delicious. It came with a heaping pile of waffle fries too! We were seated very quickly but after 15 minuets I had to go ask for a water to come take my order . Robin was our waitress. She did a great job with "trying " to be attentive but in her defense it was really hard because she had to tend to guest on the opposite side of the restaurant. Not very good for customer service because we felt like we we're not being given the attention that we should have gotten as customers. But again, it was not here fault. So...we were not tat hungry so we ordered appetizers. Cheese fries, wings, and shrimp. There was 3 of us. First the fries. Well...they were cold and hard. We had to send them back to be remade. After the second order, well let's just say there was no difference in the preparation. Then there were the winds. We asked for the dry rub with a spicy zingy sauce. Well, they were dry rubbed alright with a "drizzle"of sauce . We had to ask for extra sauce because they were so dry. And then there was the shrimp. They were perfect! Now for the drinks. FANTASTIC !! 24oz margaritas. They were on point! Now...on a side not. There was an employee who was clearly upset that she had to sweep an area where guest had just lest. She was very expressive about having to do it. But not only was she expressive she was in my space sweeping while I was trying to eat. No bueno. Overall, my experience was ok. Wow what a family place this is! I've come to learn that not all of the glory days in the greater Tampa area are owned by the same person, but the Brandon location is owned by a very nice man named Joe and his wife Donna. My server was Robin, who is both witty and very attentive to all details. The kind of server who brings you another drink before you even have a chance to ask her just because she can tell by the look in your eyes that you want it. The food of course is also quite tasty. I started the evening with a platter of nachos which had some very smoky and tangy pulled pork that is included in and not like some restaurants which want to charge you for seemingly every topping that goes on some stale chips. After the nachos I decided to go with a whole mess of wings split 8 and 8 between their dry rubbed and the smoked versions. These wings looked like they were taken from either a turkey or a chicken on a mass gainer because they are some of the largest ever seen. Despite their size the meat still maintained a delicious moistness. Between the two I would say I preferred the smoked version as they were a little bit more sauce heavy that worked well with a good rumble of hickory smoke. Whereas if you like less sauce the dry rubbed were more drizzled and provided a nice crunch. Of course if you're really into the sauce then you could order a side cup for free, but I warn you "don't get lost in the sauce." We received a coupon for '6 Free Chicken Wings' from a St. Patty's Day event in Tampa and decided to de-clutter my purse and redeem the coupon. When we arrived, we were seated immediately. I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea and it was refreshing and delicious. My bf ordered a gin cocktail and it was very strong but tasty. We ordered the buffalo chicken dip to share as our appetizer. It came out hot a bubbly. The dip was delicious and a bit different from other buffalo chicken dips I've had before- it had a hint of jerk or some seasoning. The chips were also very seasoned and pretty good by themselves. I could have used a few more chips as we had some dip left over after all the chips were gone. For our mains, my bf and I each had 6 wings. We opted for the dry rub style wings which were nice and crispy. I also had my tossed in Honey BBQ sauce. The wings were a good size and had great flavor. I would definitely come back here for wings again. Our waitress was fantastic. I wish I got her name but she was a petite blond. She kept our drinks filled and repeatedly visited to ask if we needed anything. When I asked for a box for the leftover wings, she even offered the recommendation to re-heat them in the oven vs the microwave to maintain their crispiness. When I drive passed this place I often wonder who the hell named there restaurant after a Bruce Springsteen song, and may I remind you not even a good one. Maybe they were thinking it would be like an annoying commercial you see on TV. Even though you hate it, you remember it. Whatever the reason, it worked on me. I can't remember when this place opened in the neighborhood but it wasn't too many years ago. So as I seat myself at the bar since I was solo. my first impression was the stale old beer and liquor smell that some bars have when they aren't as sanitary as they need to be. Seriously this place just reminds me of any casual restaurant chain in the country. So as I order a beer and look at the menu. I also figure out real quickly the menu matches the drapes (very outdated). Having a small craving for fish before I came in, I as console myself to see which way my Salmon or tilapia is going to be prepared, when to my surprise not only was there salmon, there was redfish. I like that! So I ordered my Redfish (very reasonably priced) and another beer. I should mention service is fairly generic, not bad, not great, just etiquette. Watching the game on the tv drinking my beer. Great news I didn't have to wait long. My redfish was seasoned and served with steamed broccoli. I have to admit it was pretty darn good. In fact the only reason I give this place 3 stars is the fact I was extremely satisfied with the fish. She gave us a run down on the food and drink menu/specials and helped us with the personal speaker that controls all of the flat screen TVs (there are tons all over the restaurant). Food was great!! I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries. Comes with BBQ sauces and sweet pickles. My fiancé had chicken strips and fries. Dessert was ridiculous!! Oreo sliders!! Where to start. I had a friend tell me that Glory Days made the best monte cristo theyd ever had. Then I was informed they had chicken and waffles. Even though their inspection report was not that great... I decided to risk it. When I arrived, I was greeted by a young hostess. She was kind. I was walked to a small carpeted area in the back that wreaked musty smells of grease and dirt. The menu was heart attack food at its best. Against my better judgment I ordered a monte cristo and waffles & chicken to go. When the food came out it looked alright. The cristo sandwich is served with fried chips. The chips were crispy but tasted old as hell. Maybe bad grease or bad potatoes. The sandwich had more bread and grease than actual cheese and meat. It was $11.99 and not really worth it. It also came with a side of raspberry jelly. The jelly tasted off. I love raspberry jelly. This jelly had a funky tangy sour taste. It reminded me of old rotten fruit. They may need to replace that jelly. Just saying. I ate half a sandwich and gave the rest away. No thanks. The chicken and waffles was subpar. Its basically 4 or 5 chicken tenders served with 2 waffles that are broken up into triangles. They drizzle syrup on the chicken and you're given syrup for the waffles. I've had real fried chicken and waffles at Roscoes in Los Angeles. This was not that. I would leave one star but the waiter was really generous. So the waiter gets a star. This place has potential. Get rid of the carpet or shampoo it because it STINKS. Replace your raspberry jelly. Put more meat on your monte cristo. Oh and why was the cristo on 5 grain bread. Eww. The texture was way odd. Serve chicken and waffles with actual fried chicken..not tenders. Also the waffles were not good. I will not be back. read more

Fantastic spot for just about anything at this sports bar. It is my favorite spot in Brandon and going to start frequenting it. They have the best bbq chicken salad anyone could ask for. Highly recommend it! Also their grilled wings are from a different world, you won't find anything better I look forward to come back and trying every different rub. Great atmosphere and will start going there for Sunday football when that's back! read more
