I ordered flowers for my mother's 81st birthday on August 10th -- 10 days in advance. I…read morespecifically chose a purple rose/orchid arrangement from their website called Tea and Coffee. I called and left a message to ask if I could add to it to make it bigger. No one returned my call. I called a few days later and asked if they could deliver it a day early, since I did not know my mom's schedule that day and I specifically asked that they deliver them to my mom personally because of my crazy family dynamics - my jealous siblings who would throw flowers and gifts from me and my kids in the trash. Again, no one returned my call. So I sent an email. Marta-Victoria emailed me back a few days later and assured me she would hand-deliver them to my mother, per her policy, and as I had instructed. She did exactly as she was instructed not to do. Moreover, she didn't mention my multiple messages she did not return. Today, I called and emailed to find out if they delivered the flowers to my mom personally. They emailed me with a picture of the flowers they say they delivered, which were NOTHING like the flowers I ordered and only included 2 purple flowers but it was still not the arrangement OR THE PRICE I paid. Worse, despite my explicit directions and explanations, and my offer to pay more for a 2nd delivery attempt, if necessary, they did exactly what I told them not to do -- they left the flowers with someone else. Pure Joy flowers demands a tip before they even deliver the flowers. Can you imagine their audacity and entitlement? You earn a tip after you've completed your service. I only gave them a 20% tip as insurance to encourage them to follow my directions, which they didn't. When they didn't deliver the flowers I ordered or deliver them to my mom, I emailed them and asked them to refund me the 20% tip that I paid in advance and the difference in the cost of the flowers I ordered and the flowers they delivered. As usual, Marta-Victoria refused to answer my multiple emails or respond to the terrible review I gave her. Like the other reviewers said here, this florist is never open. No one answers the phone or email at any time of day. Marta-Victoria's 4.1 star reviews are all her other friends writing these reviews! RUN FROM THIS FLORIST! They don't return your calls or emails unless you call and email multiple days and they are CROOKS! They take your money and don't provide the service or even the correct flowers you order and then lie and say it was "an upgrade," when it was a downgrade, as if you were blind and couldn't tell the difference. I included photos so you can see the difference between what I ordered and paid for -- and what they allegedly delivered -- although there is still no proof that they did deliver them -- and the replacement flowers I had to buy and send because Marta-Victoria's downgrade was so puny, cheap and unremarkable and I have no confirmation they were ever delivered, from both my mom or the florist. I called Come Pick My Flowers, and told Nancy, the owner, the whole story. She delivered replacement flowers immediately within 4 hours and hand-delivered them to my mother and sent me a picture. THAT is excellent customer service. Go to Come Pick My Flowers when you need flowers. The 1st picture is the flower is the arrangement that Come Pick My Flowers sent as a replacement within a few hours notice -- not the 10 days of notice that Pure Joy had. Nancy charged me $60 for the flowers and $10 for the delivery and her flowers and the arrangement are so much fuller and so much more beautiful by comparison! The 2nd picture is the picture that Pure Joy's delivery man sent me of what he allegedly dropped off, but he did not hand-deliver to my mom as I asked, so I don't even know if they arrived. They are clearly not the same as what I ordered and not as pretty or as purple and cheaper than the flower arrangement I paid for, which is the 3rd photo. The 3rd photo is the flower arrangement I ordered and paid for from Pure Joy flowers for $65 + $15 delivery + $4.06 in tax and $13 in required tip. Pure Joy is a PURE SCAM. I had to call the Better Business Bureau to report Marta-Victoria for refusing to give me a refund of the difference between the arrangement I paid for and the lesser one they allegedly sent (which I still have no proof was delivered) and my 20% tip that was forced at the time of purchase, rather than as a reward for good service. She didn't earn the tip. As far as I know, the flowers weren't even delivered so she didn't earn the sale either.
