Since it was so nice out, I thought I could rent a thacher to push in the yard where I would not be exposed to anybody. I called Rental Depot on Spring Street, West Roxbury and spoke to Brian. When I explained what my situation was, Brian took my credit card information on the phone and when I arrived at rental depot, he came out to my car and put the thatcher in my car as I kept a safe distance. When I called and returned, he met me at my car, took the machine from the trunk and put the slip in the trunk. Great customer service and a really nice guy. I will continue to do business with Rental Depot and I hope they survive this difficult economy.

He is pretty with it, but could not do mourning over zoom. We thought of using a tent in the backyard. One quick google search led me to Jim Mariano's "backyard tent rentals" business. From the minute I called him, when I was so recently bereaved, he was as helpful and caring as family. He guessed our request was for sitting shiva and offered chairs and table and tablecloth, and by the very next morning he had set up a 20x20 tent in my father's backyard, and even returned with a gift for him. I'll always be grateful to Jim for helping us out to sit shiva for my mother during these trying days of COVID-19, it has been an absolute blessing for our family, and I'm so glad we found his business and called him to rent that tent.

Getting married in the middle of the pandemic was a bit nerve racking, but Jim's expertise allowed us to navigate the situation with ease. Jim was able to assess what we needed for our small backyard space and make additional recommendations along the way. It rained for a full 2 weeks prior to our wedding. Although the backyard was not in an ideal situation for setting up tents (very soggy), Jim and his team assured me that the tents would be up the morning of the wedding. I had not seen the finished set up until I walked into my reception. Jim and his team did a wonderful job. If you're thinking of hosting a backyard event I highly recommend Back Yard Tent Rental.
