Although I found their customer service to be very good Although I am a 1.5 month subscriber from Comcast the min issue for me is" YOU CANT RECORD PREMIUM CHANNELS" like all other services. If you are away most of the day the movie you want to see may not be on at that time. Sure, I could go around and use the apps but I don't want to pay for that. I was a Comcast / Xfinity customer for over 20 years and switched to glo fiber to " save" .....huge mistake. First year there was a small savings second year dead even with pricing and package changes. Third year the pricing was even with basic internet and cable than the original Comcast. My costs were outrageous. I have terminated my contract and services with glo fiber and recommend same as you just needs an inexpensive internet package to stream that any carrier can provide for 35 bucks a month. A far cry from the 217 I was paying. Investigate your needs on streaming with apple Netflix and Hulu prior to being captured into a world of high interment and cable tv costs. Not worth the subscriptions when the same twelve shows are on and the movie selections are very dated with old programming. read more

Do yourself a favor and do not engage with this company. Yes, their internet service is pretty good. But their customer service is worse than you can imagine. It's ok when you sign up, but don't try to close your account, the stress will be off the charts. When we knew we were going to move, we called and gave them the moving date. They closed the account the day we called... weeks before the move. We called back and they reconnected. On our moving date, they did not stop service, and we found out it was still connected a week later when we went back to the house to pick up our remaining belongings. It took countless phone calls and emails to finally get it disconnected and to get a final bill. Now, 1 1/2 months later, I just got an email teliing me that my bill is available! I can't even log onto their website anymore. They are unbelievable! read more

Glo Fiber offered me installation services, then no-showed the appointment after I had my utilities marked and took the day off of work. When calling customer service I was told the installer had postponed because they would need to lay more conduit. I called a month later, same story. Another month later, same story. Finally, I called today and was told my account was disabled and they were removing my address from their list because they didn't want to do the install. I understand exceeding an install budget, but they shouldn't have offered the service in the first place and they *especially* shouldn't have cost me money and time by refusing to communicate. read more

You can get cheaper internet with glo fiber but expect extra work for yourself after they leave the installation. Outside and inside. They left mud on my sidewalk, cold patch over my driveway (only to be picked up by my tires an drug into my garage), I had stone and brick set around my mailbox and it has to be dug up and re layed.​ They drilled a 1/2" hole through my house for a 1/8" line and left a pile of drywall dust where they drilled the hole and absolutely no caulking in the inside or outside of my house. They are absolute pigs. I don't know how they live but my home wasn't like that when they arrived. I guess that is what you get for cheap internet. read more

They promote easy pricing, no contracts and no rate surprises, however, be aware of the rental fees for their modems. After an initial period with the free modem they install, they will begin charging a monthly rental fee. Ours is $12 a month and we already had our own, perfectly good modem. At installation, they recommended we use their modem to guarantee faster speeds, but failed to mention we would be paying a rental fee later. After researching the modems they use, you can buy the exact same one WAY cheaper than renting from them, so we put our old modem back with no problems and no extra rent. On a $65 monthly internet fee, the rental cost added more than 20% to our bill. What a rip off. Other than that, the service is fine. We are just annoyed that they were not up front about it. read more

Misleading and Unfair Practices I've been a customer since Horizon, but once Glo Fiber took over, everything went downhill. I couldn't access my account for 2.5 months due to website errors and maintenance. Despite my attempts to cancel, I was charged for 2 months of service I wasn't using. When I contacted them for a refund, they refused. If you value transparent billing and reliable customer service, avoid Glo Fiber. Can't even sign up, something wrong with their system. I've unlocked all of my credit reports from the three agencies. When I try to sign up, their system says cannot process, and there is no back button, only "exit" and you have to start all over again. Done this four times and I'm done. Your site sucks. read more

RWe dont need much internet so requested the 100 mps service that is unadvertised. Guy had to check the "old system" to find it after claimin it was not a thing. Then he said I get two free months as a promotion. Also did not mention th equipmen fee. Short story is that I was not eligible for two month promotion and second rep I talked to basically said the first made that up. Canceling service and goign back to Cox which has lowered its pricing, likely in repsonse to glofiber competition. read more

Scheduling was a bit of pain, as they are very busy. Had two missed appointments but third was a charm. Installation was easy. The technician was polite, considerate, and efficient. Service so far is fast and reliable. Overall, very good, just took off one star for the scheduling hic-cups. read more

Tech support is not reliable. I work from home, 3 times in the last 24 hours my internet connection has gone down. I restart the modem and all is well again, but after the third time, I called GloFiber tech support 833-926-8456, thought I had a tech, went through the issues, was then told they would have to submit a ticket to have a support person call me back, if you call, first question to them should be are you a tech support person? Frustrating going thru the whole issue only to be told they will write up a ticket and a tech will call you back! I work from home and NEED internet, they treat it like its no big deal. read more

If zero stars were possible, I'd give them that. Scheduled an install on June 28, waited more than 12 hours past the time they would have arrived and failed to get the install done. Its now September 3rd when I'm writing this and there have been no updates from the technicians, customer care, etc... Even when "promised" updates within a day, week, etc... nothing happens until I call them. If this is how they treat new customers, I would hate to see what I'd get if they actually finished the setup. Absolutely would not recommend. read more

Right now only one thong is good. You talk to a person that seems to care. I have been trying to get service for over 4 months. First they scheduled an appointment to drop the lines, then cancelled because they had to talk to neighbor. Then they came back droped line to my house. So far so good until the technician came to install in the house. My appointment was at 1 and the tech arrived early, great, but then got called to do another job. Returned at 430 and found that the original lines were never completed and he had to drop lines from my house to the next pole. At 7pm he says there is no signal and he can not complete the install. This is a motnh ago. The line he pulled is now 3 feet off of the ground the box for lines is open. I have called 5 times and spoke to several people about this. They seem concerned but then nothing happens. I was told the construction manager would call. NO CALLS. My new schedule time is next week. Will see if they can get it right. read more

We haven't even started having glofiber yet (nor will we as our Xfinity) is cheaper, and they have torn up most of the yards in our neighborhood, including destroying the asphalt in one of our neighbor's yards. When I heard that GloFiber was coming to my town back in early 2022 I was pretty excited!! The thought of moving on from Xfinity altogether was great! Well they was suppose to be available in Dec of 2023 but as luck would have it they was ahead of schedule. I was able to get my service installed last week! First, let me talk about the initial service of getting the wire ran from the pole to my home. The guy didn't have to call me but he did which allowed me to talk to him about where I wanted it ran to. He was very knowledgeable and polite and after I showed him where I initially wanted it he made a recommendation that I thought was actually better and went with it. Didn't take him long to get the cable ran and hooked up in a box and the box installed on the side of my house. Second, let me talk about the in home install. The installer arrived right at the start of the 2hr window. He was very polite and knowledgeable and got right to work. He got everything installed and after testing it we found that I was getting slower speeds than expected on my PC but his handheld unit was broken so he couldn't test it coming from the modem. However, he told me once I am able to test it with my laptop from the modem if it isn't to par for what I was paying for to contact customer support. Great installer and got everything done within the 2hr window. Third, let me talk about customer support. I emailed customer support once I tested the speeds with my laptop and they wasn't at the 1.2gbs up/down. However, I had more things to test so I told them I would test a little more then get back with them and they said, please do. So once I went in and made a few setting things in my router I was able to increase my speeds on my devices to half of what I was paying for and I was able to try different speed test that got me close to 1gb up/down. I emailed support and told them my findings and told them I was satisfied with those speeds. Their response to me was "Well, we are not happy with those findings because you should be getting 1.2 up/down so we will send someone out to your place at your available time " Last, lets talk about the return of the service technicians and what happen after. So they came back out and after testing my speeds with their device, one that worked, they found I was getting 1245mbs down 1240mbs up. NICE. They also tested my router which was getting 500 down 500 up and said I needed to work on either fixing the router settings or getting a new router if I wanted faster speeds. So I was fine with that and they left. Very polite and very knowledgeable. So far I am happy with the service. After they left I went in and found a setting on my router that was turned on that "limited" my internet speeds. Once I turned that off I was getting over 1gbs up/950mbs down on almost all my devices. WIN then later that day a GloFiber employee was walking the streets handing out flyers for their service and on their service offered the 1.2gbs service that I ordered just 4 days prior for $15 less a month for a year. I took a picture of that flyer and emailed customer service asking if I can take advantage of that deal and to my surprise I got a response back within 15 minutes saying "Yes we can honor that deal since you just started service with us" WIN WIN! So although I have only been with GloFiber for a week I have to say the customer service so far has been GREAT, the tech support has been GREAT, and the Internet speeds have been GREAT! Will that change in the future? I hope not but as of now they are doing all the right things for me coming from Xfinity!! Keep it up GLOFIBER and the amount of business you will get from my "Word of Mouth" advertisement will be 100 fold! read more

Service works great but billing is a mess. They repeatedly forget to bill me online and then charge a late fee, plus I am paying an additional $2.50 per month because I don't want to give a company that cannot even remember to bill me access to my credit card. It is extremely aggravating to have to call THEM to remind THEM to bill me - and then get charged a late fee. And for the first few months, they didn't even bill me the correct amount. Anyway, when I call customer service, they always remove the late fee, but what a pain in the butt!! How do they even make a profit? These people are supposed to be in the communications business, right? read more

Dedicated service. Installation was complicated but the technician was committed and made sure everything worked great. The internet connection is reliable and fast and the price is very reasonable. The customer service is personal and amazing. I would highly recommend this as an internet service provider. read more
