The ugly: they sent me 15 of my 33 pages of itinerary, not once, but twice!!! i never thought of asking how many pages i should have received. i called and asked the csr where would the airport car pick me up...and she said it was in my itinerary!!! NOT! anyway....the omission of 15 pages of instructions made my life HELL on the way over there and the hotel check in!! The good: I went to the greece, the greek islands and turkey at a great rate!!! it was the MOST wonderful vacation and did get a great price!!!! My guide, George was very nice and kept all the paperwork and travel in order. got express check in at cruise ship too! it was a dream vacation....didn't realize that Turkey was soooooo beautiful!!! a must see! read more

Did globus London Paris tour in May. Due to bad weather in London my flight was delayed 2 hrs arriving to usa. I immediately called globus to let them know. When I landed at Heathrow, there was no wheelchair for anyone coming off flight another day of about 30 minutes a globus person called me upon landing and I informed him. I get to luggage and it was chaos cuz computer for luggage went down. 20k bags lost. Both my driver and other man kept calling me and the driver was very very rude. I told him if he can't wait I understand and I offered to get my own ride he insisted on staying. The next day outside of my hotel he passed me and almost knocked me down. I'm a 73 year old woman with not great balance. Never apologized just said get out of the way. Another incident I booked Tower of London excursion cuz I wanted to see Crown Jewels since none in Paris . Night before the tour we were told not enough people signed up and unless we get 4 more globus will cancel excursion I checked online and only a fee entrance tickets were left so I bought one in case it was cancelled. The next day at 5 minutes before the scheduled time the last two that we needed paid to go and I was out $50. I think globus should it have eaten the cost of the 4 tickers for the excursion . I called and asked for a &50 refund but they said no. Also I felt the hotel was in a very inconvenient part of Paris and not nearly as nice as the one in London . Dinners were also not very good. The first restaurant in Paris was awful beef burgeoning a cheap thick slice of fatty beef with no flavor. read more

Get tour guides that care about the customer experience. Spending 3 hours in a cheap roadside McDonalds to "kill time" so we don't get to the hotel too early is absurd. Particularly for the price. Tried to sit on the bus and read but was told I wasn't allowed and had to leave for at least an hour. Unbelievable. And that's just today's debacle. this is our first and last Globus tour. We were on Celtic highlights , sept 29-Oct 11 2025. We felt that most hotels were subpar ,bed request generally not honored, many bathroom stops were shared with several other buses and the lines were really long.Two hotels our toilets would not flush. At one the hotel repairman told us to flush 7 times to make it work. At the hotel in Inverness, we had two low beans that we had to stoop to keep from hitting our heads! We spoke with the hotel manager to move rooms but there were none available.By day 7 several people were asking how many more days till we get off this tour, we felt the same way. Have me flying me out of Newark, the worse airport in the US. Like many families in 2025, we are facing financial challenges. While we understand Globus' policies, we also believe that any business should act in the best interests of both the company and its customers. We are not asking for a refund, only the option to postpone or adjust our itinerary for a future trip when we are in a better position to travel. I did a Portugal / Spain Tour. The bus and tour guide were good The two of the three dinners provided were almost inedible. They skipped a wine tasting in Spain and tried to make up for it with bad wine at the bad dinner I left 3 Untuckit shirts in my hotel in Lisbon. My fault. But the hotel is suppose to check the closets. The property was stolen by either the staff or they did not check the closets. The street outside the hotel was so noisy I barely slept. A night club with music blasting till about 4 AM I contacted their guest services upon arriving home. Offered me the same $ 200 credit you get for anyone returning. The Globus tour of Great Britain and Ireland did not meet our expectations. We had previously traveled with Globus on numerous occasions prior to Covid and expected a similar satisfactory experience. We were on a small group tour (paid extra) in a 53 seat coach and mandated to rotate seats every day. That aspect was fine and expected but we were not allowed to move to sit in far rear seats not occupied nor desired by anyone during the tour. The guide, Matt, also pushed optional excursions too often and talked incessantly not allowing for any reflection or downtime to rest since most days started with bags out by 7. Overall I would not recommend taking this tour with this guide. Will not be traveling with Globus again after this experience. read more

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the hotel accommodations during my recent trip with Globus. The quality of the hotels was far below what I expected, particularly given the substantial amount I paid for the trip. It is not the responsibility of the guests to bring up these issues with the tour guide; these concerns should have been proactively addressed by Globus. I question whether Globus inspects the facilities, tests the food, or even stays in the rooms. If they did, I find it hard to believe they would choose these hotels for themselves, let alone their guests. Below are the specific issues I encountered at each hotel: - **7/7-7/8: Crown Hotel Plymouth** - The room had no hot water, a broken couch, peeling paint, and when I requested a room change, I was refused. To make matters worse, the view was of the roof. These issues made for a very uncomfortable stay. - **7/11: Clayton Hotel Glasgow** - The room's view was also of the roof, the accommodations were subpar, only one elevator was functioning, and the dinner served was simply unacceptable. - **7/12: Mercure Hotel Inverness** - Again, the accommodations were substandard. The window latch was broken, there was no air conditioning, the gym was non-existent, and the elevators could barely accommodate 2-4 people at a time. - **7/13-7/15: Mercure Hotel Edinburgh** - The window would not latch securely, the view was of a brick wall, there was no phone in the room, and the fan provided had no front cover, making it unsafe to use. - **7/15-7/16: Mercure York** - This was, by far, the worst hotel of the trip. My first-floor room was noisy, the hallway reeked of sewage, and there was tissue stuffed in the ceiling crown molding to hide a hole. The room had no air conditioning or fan, and I could not open the windows as the room was on the first floor. Additionally, the dinner served was unappetizing. Globus solution to this was to offer me a $650 refund! Unacceptable. Do not use them you will regret it. read more

CAVEAT EMPTOR Returned from a tour with Globus to Ireland and Scotland. It was torture! I certainly don't recommend this company. On the bus, off the bus, sleep 6 hours at a new hotel (nice hotels) every night, get up, eat buffet breakfast, get back on the bus and do it all over again. The tour manager was not the least bit concerned about us or our needs and desires, we stopped asking when it was clear she was focused on the schedule and the select few guests that she liked. The bus driver was great. Returned home exhausted and now need a vacation. I sent a message to this company midway through this disaster inquiring about an early out and did not receive a response until the last day. The travel agent - Cynthia Griffin - ghosted us once she had our money and no doubt her commission (don't think of using her). She promised that the tour operator would provide transport from hotel to airport - nope - we were on our own. Tour operator told us to be at Glasgow airport by 630am...wrong the KLM counter didn't open until 730am. so we got to enjoy the ambience of the airport. Interesting that the most of the other guests arrived via Globus transport and hour later when the counter opened....makes ya wonder? I was sick on the second day and my companion became ill later during the trip. Tour manager could have cared less...get up, put your bags out by 0700, and get on the bus and do it all over the next day. When I told her I was ill and needed to stay on the bus she said this was not allowed so I sat in a cafeteria on a miserable metal chair. A lot more to say but you get the message....No Globus.... I traveled on the Globus/Cosmos Ireland Tour in Oct. 2023. The tour is priced lower than many others but, Buyer Beware -- you get what you pay for. The Positive: The tour covers the perimeter of Ireland. You experience lots of cute sheep in green meadows, dramatic ocean cliffs and very old castles. The tour guide is knowledgeable and the bus driver is safe and polite. The Negatives: Included Meals -- All breakfasts and three dinners were included in the tour price. One dinner was very good. The rest of the meals were borderline inedible. (Picture ice cold pancakes that have to be sent through the conveyor belt of the toaster machine and diluted oatmeal floating in lukewarm water. (Bring your own granola bars for survival.) Infection Control Precautions -- Several people on this large tour were ill with hacking coughs and sneezing. The air on the tour bus is recirculated. No one -- and I mean no one -- covered their nose or mouth when they sneezed and coughed. There were some face masks available on a tray at the center of the bus that went untouched all week. It was obvious that we were traveling on the pandemic bus but the tour guide made no attempt to point out the face masks nor did he suggest that travelers cover their mouth and nose when they cough and sneeze. I wore my own filter mask all week and endured plenty of dirty looks from the other travelers. I also got sick. (Bring filter masks and lots of hand sanitizer with you.) Hard Sell of Optional Excursions -- Optional excursions during free time are pushed as mandatory. I purchased admission to the Titanic Museum in Belfast (Excellent!) and elected not to attend evening excursions to pubs and similar entertainment venues where significant drinking occurs. On the morning of each of these optional excursions, the tour guide announced to the entire group that 'almost everyone has signed up for the evening excursion' and then he looked at me. On the morning after each optional excursion, the tour guide announced that 'almost everyone had a good time last night' and then he looked at me. The tour guide even had the audacity to send another traveler (a total stranger) to interrogate me on why I would not sign up for the "optional" tours. This was a complete violation of my privacy. The tour guide created a hostile travel environment for me by profiling me as the unfriendly one who won't join optional events. I came to Ireland to see sheep -- not to be a sheep. I will not be bullied into following group think mentality and I am not responsible for increasing the tour guide's commissions on these "optional" excursions. Solo Traveler -- Perhaps, because of the highly structured nature of the bus tour, some of the travelers are uncomfortable with a level of independence that they do not possess. I was interrogated by several travelers as to why I was traveling alone. (One woman at dinner demanded to know my life story!) I heard myself apologizing more than once for my presence on the tour. Summary -- You will definitely experience Ireland on this tour but for a few dollars more, you can have other options that may result in a more pleasant experience. read more

Their bicycle tour was thru heavily trafficked areas that were unsafe and crowded. They also took us to Spolietto where there were just small shops and had us walk thru rain in 65 degree weather. I went to Greece, Turkey and 3 night cruise with them in October. The trip was great, great guide, food. But I couldn't get home for four days because my flights were constantly canceled. So One night in Athens, one in Paris and one in NYC. I used Globus travel insurance through AON and they just provided an e mail saying I'm out $900 of my own money. We will be sending you a check and explanation of benefits. Talk about sorry not sorry. AON does not provide any phone numbers or contact information other than an e mail. I'm still going to fight it but I'll never a) book with their insurance again and b) if forced to buy their insurance will find another travel company. For our wedding anniversary, my husband and I used to go to Northern California and then Hawaii. For 2013, we decided to go to Europe. I'm the one who usually books the trips, (hotel, car, activities, food etc). Well, this time around, I was feeling so overwhelmed! Not only were we going to travel overseas, but we wanted to go to different counties. Since I've never been to Europe, I had to research currencies, language, transportation, you name it! I finally gave up and decided to book a tour. (Yeah, we had a chance we were going to get stuck with a group of retired folks, but better than a bunch of college kids... Contiki Tours). My initial thought was to book with Trafalgar. I had every brochure you could think of. So at the end it was between Trafalgar and Globus. What got me with Globus was their free WiFi on their tour bus! During those long rides, we could use our iPhones! It was a pretty simple process. You chose the tour you want and you can book it online as well as the flights (which is optional). I booked our trip in November 2012 for our tour in May 2013 and was able to make payments. I reside in California and the office that I dealt with was in Littleton, CO Everything was taken care of (all transportation including train tickets, water taxi, bus, airport shuttle, hotel bookings, breakfast, most dinners, entrance fees, gratuity for the porters). Our group was pretty mixed. People on their 50th and 20th wedding anniversaries, young couples, parents with teenagers, solo travelers. We actually met an older couple there from Ohio and became friends with them. (the wife reminded us of my husband's mom! LOL) It was nice being able to see so many places in a short amount of time. Note that if you are looking for a relaxing vacation, this is NOT for you! You are always on the go! But you get to hit the biggest attractions in each city. However, Globus offers more independent and slow paced trip options via Monograms. We had this during the last part of our trip in Southern Italy. It was a lot more relaxing and you get to do whatever you want. There is a guide that comes to the hotel every morning if you need assistance or want to purchase tickets or need transportation somewhere. I would do it again in a heart beat! However, now that I have a lot more experience traveling in Europe, I think I can do it on my own next time! read more

Nine days after paying - and 5 months before the tour - they downgraded our first hotel in Sorrento from a Booking.com rated 8.7 priced at $120 in Sorrento to Booking.com 7.9 priced at $80 far out of town. Then they refused to admit that it was a downgrade! Seems like bait and switch to me. I don't want to cancel. I want them to comply with their contract! Very inconsiderate company to deal with during this time of Covid, they are dragging everyone through hell, but not canceling a European trip for the week of Thanksgiving. Yet, the European countries have a ban on US citizens coming in for touring and it was just released in the news that there were another 10,000 covid patients in France. Who wants to sit on a bus with an itchy, smelly mask on for hours, and have to go through the Louve, Eiffel Tower with no elevators working, only stairs and limited amounts of people allowed in, Notre Dame, shopping on Champs-Elysees wearing a mask, in fear? They are offering us to cancel and keep our money making us re-schedule our trips in 2021. Well, maybe some of us will be getting married, moving away, not wanting to leave the country after Covid, why should we have to determine our fate to appease Globus??? Its very obvious they don't want to do the right thing and return deposits, instead are giving their loyal patrons ultimatums! Would I travel with them again, no way, not with all the great tour companies out there that are working so diligently and being considerate to their customers offering refunds during this uncertain time! Globus also wants full payments for Thanksgiving week trips by September 18th or lose the deposit money they've had for months, yet they finally today, canceled their trips up until November 14th. Trying desperately to hold onto the deposits for Thanksgiving Week, someone should reach out to the TSA and let them know the hell Globus is putting their customers through making them wait this this out. Without a vaccine, anyone attempting to go on a European trip is acting very careless with their life. My wife and I just finished a 2 week tour of Italy and Greece and our experience couldn't have been better. First of all, it's important to know what you're getting into. My wife and I weighed the pros and cons of a group tour vs. going it alone before we signed up. You should know going in that you'll spend large amounts of time on a bus with 30, 40 strangers. You should know going in that the trip will be a fast-paced tour with lots of walking and not a lot of rest. You should know going in that you won't have time to do absolutely everything. And you should know going in that not every hotel will be a palace and not every restaurant will be five star cuisine. If you don't understand these things, you probably shouldn't sign up for a group tour. We understood all these things going in so we knew exactly what to expect. As a result, we were able to appreciate all of the pros of a group tour, including: 1) Being able to relax and let accommodations, ticket purchases, travel from place-to-place be set up for you. This was our first time in Europe so we could have easily spent half our trip just trying to figure out accommodations and how to get from place to place. It was nice having that stuff taken care of. 2) Being catered to. Many hotels, restaurants and attractions cater to tour groups. This means we got special meals and perks people traveling individually don't get. It also meant getting right into some attractions (like the Vatican, for instance) without having to wait in line for (possibly) hours. 3) We made life-long friends. By the end of the two weeks, the people in our tour group became almost like family. Not every hotel or restaurant was awesome, but many were. The rest were fine and we enjoyed them all even more because we were with 35 new friends. We saw so much more than we ever could have traveling on our own. Also, without the incredible knowledge of our tour director and tour guides we would have missed so much of the history and back stories about the places we saw. That would have been a shame. I have already recommended Globus/Cosmos to many friends and family members and we plan on booking with them again. Hopefully soon. read more

DO NOT ever do business with this God forsaken company! We deposited, in good faith, $1,598 in January 2020 for a trip to Europe's Spain and Portugal. Enter the EXTREME effects of not only two years of the pandemic Covid-19, but now the current financial devastation of 40-year high inflation levels, gas and oil prices skyrocketing, the stock market crash of the past several months losing 25% in value, a recession just around the corner as predicted by scores of bankers and economists, and a Russia-Ukraine war disrupting the European landscape. This company, Globus, adamantly refuses to recognize the highly destructive effects of the above AND the passage of time in one's personal financial and health situations, and refuses to refund our money, using very arrogant and condescending tones to "rub it in." They are BLIND to the simple concept of time lapsing, which is no one fault, and how that may bring changing circumstances to customers of good faith.....like us! We are retired people and we hung in there with Globus during the pandemic, but now, we are looking at extreme inflationary and recession effects that we can't weather.....and they have absolutely NO understanding of this concept! This is insanity! This is two-and-a-half years after we have made our deposit.....and the coast STILL is not clear with a full recession looming for perhaps the next TWO more years.....yet, they won't make a $1,598 refund!? These people are fretting about giving us our $1.598 back, and they DO NOT care one bit about losing our business and its potentially generous cash flow stream into the future. This kind of reprehensible decision making is akin to a bunch of greedy teenagers jacking around with a bunch of nameless, faceless "old farts!" Their largess in this respect is stunningly and profoundly absurd and humiliating. Can you imagine the mental midgets at work here, eschewing perhaps $40,000 or more in future business from us.....all over the paltry amount of $1,598? It raises serious concerns about the overall BUSINESS ACUMEN and INTEGRITY of Globus in general, and leads to serious questions about how they might treat a wealth of other "issues" that could arise on ANY trip! Globus has been disappointed from the beginning to the end. I will never use this travel company in future. First, they were so unorganized. Yes, unforeseen situation happens but I would expect more from a professional travel company. The Paris globus representative, Molly who doesn't greet people with a smile, but with a snobby and arrogant attitude. I asked about the ticket valid date because it said Oct 2023. She said "honey, we wouldn't give you an invalid ticket." 1. My name isn't honey. 2. What the heck with her tone? Of course I can't read French. You are there to explain things. Apparently, she doesn't like her job to help people. When we transferred from Paris to London, I could write a whole page of what went wrong. We got there early but they put us aside and made us wait for 30 mins. And of course they were double booked the seats. It was a huge mess to figure out where to seat because my seat was occupied by someone else already. When we arrived in London, our representative didn't bring a roster. She kept saying there were supposed to be 22 people, but she only counted 19. We literally waited an hour until she figured out what to do with us. That was a waste of time. Also, when we checked into London hotel, some of us were in a different floor. I was only single person who was on 2nd floor. Everyone else was on the premium floor - 6th floor. I paid the same amount for the less service. I'm just so annoyed how everything went using globus as our travel agent. One star is too high. Our trip to Austria, Switzerland and Oberammergau was cancelled due to COVID-19. Our travel agent cancelled our trip on Mar. 16 and then I cancelled again on Mar 23 because they messed up the first cancellation. I have contacted them several times since that time as did our travel agent. We were Initially told we could get a full refund in 2 weeks because of their error. It didn't happen. We were then told 4-6 weeks. It didn't happen. We were then told 6-8 weeks. Yesterday was 8 weeks and we still have not received a refund. In total frustration, I contacted my credit card company yesterday. We had made the first deposit for this trip in November 2018 because the Passion Play in Oberammergau only happens once a decade and trips fill early. However, our credit card company won't dispute the initial deposit with Globus because of the charge being so long ago. They will dispute the second and final payments but we may be out $1100. We have taken several trips with Globus and Cosmos over the last few years and have had awesome experiences. Even when Norway's hospitality industry went on strike, we had a wonderful time. But......you never really know how a company functions until real difficulties occur. While we look forward to traveling again, it is unlikely we will ever book a tour with Globus again. read more

Wendy at Globus Travel was extremely helpful in sending me info and figuring out for me what kind of tour would work for my disability, which is high pain levels and sensitivity to travel due to spinal reconstruction. She was clear that it is not a disability-oriented travel agency, but by asking her more questions, I found that they do have options that would work for me, and she went in depth to help me figure out how to use their independent tours to be able to not take buses and not to be kept to a schedule. Her transparency about what the tours are like, for example that the Celtic HIghlights tour includes a great deal of walking, and her flexibility in finding a way that that a guest could avoid a schedule by being alone with someone on hand who could act as a guide if needed, and also to avoid bumpy roads using trains, planes and the independent tour option, as well as her research into what the temperature range is in off-months proved how customer-oriented and honest this company is. I really appreciated the time that she took with me to see if there was a way I could see 2 countries instead of just one and still have flights booked by them on different airlines. Also, her bubbly personality and altruistic attitude were a real joy. Just hearing her voice and encountering her honesty made my day. read more

We found a rat in our hotel room. We had to move three rooms in three nights. Very overpriced for the service they provide.

We are scheduled to take a tour of Poland in October 2021. The trip was booked in November 2020, thinking the pandemic would be behind us by now. Globus was also advertising "Peace of Mind" travel. That is a totally bogus claim. The final payment was due on August 10 and at that time things were looking better concerning the pandemic conditions. Very shortly after that the Delta virus strain surfaced. I called Globus and asked questions about the process that would be applied if someone on the tour became sick. They would not answer any of my questions, were very vague and avoided every issue. How can I have peace of mind travelling when they cannot tell me what will happen if I get sick while on the tour? Globus keeps pointing us to other sources, basically telling us to find out for ourselves. That is why I booked with a tour group in the first place - so they can gather and provide this information. We decided not to go on the trip since we have no idea what to expect upon landing in Poland or while on the tour. We decided we would not be able to enjoy the trip if we did go since we would be worried about getting sick and what would happen if we did. When we asked to postpone our trip, we were told no. They said they could not change anything after final payment. However, plenty has changed since we made the final payment. The delta variant, requirements in Poland relating to the virus, etc. Seems that Globus should be more flexible given the current pandemic situation and the fact that they will not tell us what protocols are in place to address these issues while on the tour. My advice is to avoid Globus. They are unethical and inflexible! read more

I recently went on a tour of Sicily and I loved it! Globes Tours took care of everything, from the flights, transfers, tours, and hotels. Two of the 4 hotels were not the best but other than that the trip was enjoyable and comfortable. The tour guides were so informative and helpful. I would highly recommend this tour company of you are looking good an escorted international tour. It is extremely professional and worth the money. read more

My husband and I went on the Israel and Jordon Escape Jan. 16, 2023 and were so very disappointed! One of the reasons we chose this tour was because Masada was included, only to find out at the Welcome Dinner we would not be stopping because of it's ANNUAL SCHEDULED 2 week maintenance!!! Timing of many of the sites were limited and missed due to day of week and religious observances. Our Israel tour guide was rude and only going through the motions of his job. Almost seemed as if he was going to be retiring and didn't give a crap. Learned very little. The Jordan tour guide was very knowledgeable and did enjoy him. The only downfall was no ear devices and couldn't hear him and missed A LOT! Poor planning as the tour had over 30 people. We have been fortunate to travel extensively and this is not our first Globus tour so I do have practical knowledge to base this on. Also disappointed that after submitting our comments on return and giving a poor rating and experience that they have not reached out in any way. read more

We had booked a trip to Scotland and had to cancel. We had purchased the travel insurance. We cancelled in December and were told our travel vouchers would be forthcoming. Toward the end of January we got a letter which stated that the travel certificates would be sent under separate cover. When we didn't receive them after several weeks we called and were told the certificates must have been lost in the mail and would need to be cancelled and reissued. Then we called when we still hadn't received them after several weeks and were told they would review our issue and get back with us, which they never did. The upshot is we are out $1300. In their case customer service is a complete oxymoron. read more

Globus Bella Italia Escape is go go go. The group of 44 is exhausted. No time to relax. They push the excursions without details and times. They have a hidden 24 hour excursion policy which isn't told to you upfront. We are on the bus for 2 to 3 hours with no restroom breaks. We are not given important details like we need change for restrooms. One guy paid $20 to use restroom because the attendant wouldn't give him change. I am canceling my Feb Globus trip. This isn't fun. No one is having fun. 44/44 read more

This is an upcoming trip that I haven't taken yet - the Sicilian Escape. I booked my own international flights for round trip to the launch point in Palermo. My error was that I didn't realize that the tour ended in Malta. My bad - although I did send the info to Globus to set up the transfer and they also didn't catch it. However, I now have to get from Malta back to Palermo to sync up with my international flights, a day early and missing 1.5 days of the 10-day tour. Still, my bad. My issue is that Globus will not arrange for our transfers in Malta to catch a new flight back to Palermo a day early. Their response was the name of a travel website I should use to set it up myself. I chose to book a tour with a company so that I would not have to deal with in-country arrangements in a foreign country. I expect that the tour company would be my advocate on the tour to help me navigate any issues when things go sideways .. its a trust issue. Apparently, even though there a month to go before the tour, the company is leaving us on our own in this situation. Let me say right up front that we were apprehensive about a 14 day bus trip. Longest bus tour we had taken was 5 days to Maine and we were not particularly thrilled. Our contact with Globus prior to start of travel was good. We were notified in June 2018 that our scheduled Sept 2018 Tour date was canceled. Our options were to slip our departure date 4 days or cancel. We agreed to slip our departure date and all went extremely smooth. Globus arranged our air travel and we were provided with detailed instructions prior to our departure so on travel day we were ready. A Globus rep met us at Barajas Airport for transport to our hotel in Madrid. Must say directions for our pickup in Barajas Airport were not specific and confusing, but we found our Globus contact without too much difficulty. Check in/out at our 9 hotels was excellent. Our tour director handed out our room keys and luggage was taken to and picked up from our hotel rooms' right on schedule. All rooms were excellent and beds were very comfortable. Noise was never a problem and we were quite happy with our accommodations. I was very impressed with the buffet breakfast at each hotel. Cereal, yogurt, eggs, bacon, variety of breads, fruit, coffee, orange juice and the list goes on. Everyone has different tastes and expectations, but we just could not have been happier with our start of the day meal. Globus will only handle one piece of luggage per passenger. Only hand luggage is permitted on the bus. Globus provided detailed information in our Travel Documents. The 14 Day Spanish Fiesta tour is really fast paced. Typical day started at 6AM and ended around 9PM. As you can imagine loads of walking required each day with few exceptions. We found the free time about right for us, I'm sure some would have wanted a bit more free time, but touring most parts of Spain takes some effort. Our tour guide, Jose, was exceptional. He verbalized and posted a complete schedule of daily events. We were quite pleased with each of the tour stops and the local guides were excellent. We signed up for all but one of the optional excursions and found each well worth the additional cost. Our tour bus was always clean, comfortable and right on time. Seat rotation on a daily based worked well. We were a bit concerned about riding in the rear of the bus, but after riding one of the longest legs in the very back of the bus our concern was unfounded. Our stops were well timed at approximately every 2 hours. Dinners, 6 arranged by Globus were good. Several of the meals were exceptional and several just okay. We found the Globus 14 Day Spanish Fiesta tour very good value. Definitely recommend this tour. read more

I booked a trip with Globus in September 2023 to Australia. On my last day there the bus driver damaged my luggage while putting it on the bus when I arrived in Syndney. When I arrived at the hotel and the bus driver unloaded the luggage I noticed that my luggage was not rolling properly. Upon inspection of my luggage I noticed that two corners of my luggage was damaged and, therefore, the wheels were not working well. I contacted the tour guide and she was supposed to email me a claim form, which she never did. I contacted my Globus tour specialist and he referred me to the customer service department. I emailed pictures of the damage, along with how I observed the bus driver slamming my bag around when he was putting it on the bus. I was told by a Jill Bondarchuk that she was requesting a check to reimburse me for the damaged luggage. I never received anything and when I contacted her and inquired about my check I was ignored by her. I then contacted the customer care Director, Steve Born, and No response. I also contacted Paula Hayes, VP of sales and Scott, CEO of Globus and still NO response. So, beware of Globus fellow travelers because they will not take any responsibility for damage that their employees cause. I will never book another trip through this company as long as I live. read more

I have been on Globus tours before & they are okay. BUT WE WILL NEVER USE GLOBUS AGAIN. We have waited 3 months for a refund for a trip that GLOBUS cancelled. Our first deposit was in December 2017. If you're going to book a tour, DO NOT use this company!!!! They will NOT treat you ethically and they will lie when it is to their benefit. If negative stars were offered I would give them a -5. read more

Not a "read the fine print issue": This would've been my 3rd Globus Escapes trip with air included. When I postponed from 2021 to same time 2022, the air was most implicitly and quietly dropped. It was the same amount, original and new booking, so it looked right, and historically speaking, all was well. It wasn't until a week before the trip .. I called them as I hadn't gotten the flight info, that they let me know air wasn't included. By then airfare was very high, $2000+ for multi city and I would've needed to pay that additionally. I didn't want to do that, and asked for a refund. A rep said they'd "escalate" and call me back within 48 hours. They did not. There was no explicit indication the new trip didn't include air. Plain to see from other reviews this is a pattern. They're not transparent, and they're not into customer service after they've gotten your money. I'll update my review if I hear back from them re $1500 that is just gone. As a return customer in good faith I feel disregarded. This was far from the excellent service they advertise. *Update: Nobody called. A rep emailed me and said I wouldn't get a refund and deflected with a lot of words about other things. Not even a credit toward a future trip. My negligence was in assuming good faith and based on past experience after two Globus Escapes "trip w air" (as was this 3rd one originally). Negligence on their end speaks to their intent. Corporate rule, crude robbers ready to take your $$$. What is the right thing to do? Well that presupposes that the question is being asked in the first place and it's not. Unethical company.. "for the corporations by the corporations." Lesson learned. read more
