Five stars doesn't begin to describe the positive experience that I had with AAC…read more For a milestone birthday present for both my best friend and me, I really wanted to do something truly epic like trek with Gorillas and follow the Great Migration. As I did my research and sorted through outfitters, I got in touch with Tracy at Africa Adventure Consultants. From our first conversation, Tracy understood what kind of trip I was looking to do, what my wants and needs were to make it successful and also what my challenges were. Tracy consitently communicated with me with not only answers to my questions, but also suggestions to make things easier and maximize my time. She totally earned my trust as she worked and reworked the itinerary to meet my every whim. She was unbelievably patient, knowledgable and 100% no pressure so I ultimately booked my 16 day East Africa Adventure to Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya with AAC. After I made my decision, I opted to invite my parents to join me on Safari to follow the Migration. Tracy made sure that everything we did during that would also cater to their needs. The trip was flawless. It was epic and smooth. I felt completely covered as I packed to leave. It literally couldnt have been any better. We are all still glowing from our experience. Marina, our concierge, gathered every detail needed for our itinerary including the travel plans that we made to and from Africa so that there was never a guess what was next. AAC offers the TravelKey app to give you everything you need at any time on your trip even without data service. Just another detail that was covered that made me able to think less and simply enjoy the experience. Trust the AAC process and timeline and you'll have no questions when you board your plane to leave. AAC works like a well oiled machine. From laying out the timeline for payments, visas and general information to helping with every detail from packing lists, travel insurance to any last minute changes that are wanted even while you're traveling. They give you every detail that you need to prepare for the trip of a lifetime. Their partners on the ground in Africa follow the same level of service. We were seamlessly met at every airport/airstrip, zipped through customs with our bags and on our way to our accomodation before some folks were even off the plane. The accomodations were all great. Some excelled at some things better than others but all were clean, comfortable, hospitable and relatively upscale. The guides were dialed in, friendly, great drivers and more than answered the need for soneone local to help keep things running smooth. They became as much a part of our experience as the activities. Tracy kept telling me how much they trust their partners on the ground. They are right to do so. Even when the news about Ebola threatened to derail part of the trip, AAC was proactive and provided us with real time information, options and time to discuss with them. Speaking quickly about Ebola; tourism in Uganda has crashed since May with up to 60% cancellations in a lot of places. Uganda is safe from Ebola and travel around, in and out is fine. Coming home to the US is not a problem if you book to fly through a US gateway airport. Go to Uganda. Long story not so short.... I cant say enough about why you should book your African Adventure with AAC. Ask for Tracy. You'll have the best time ever.

From the beginning of the…read moreprocess, Tracy was so great at listening to what we wanted from our vacation and making all of the experiences that we wanted to have fit our budget. She was thoughtful with making sure that we would be comfortable and that we would have a great time, even with teens and kids on safari. The planning process can seem daunting, but Tracy and her team at AAC made it so seamless and straightforward, we were able to take everything one step at a time and it was all very clear and laid out for us to follow. Once we were on our trip, everything was so arranged and worked so well. The team made sure that everything was taken care of for us and even made a point to check in to see if there was anything they could do to support. Tracy and her team really take care of you through out the whole experience. Sadly, our holiday is over but it was magical. When we go back to Africa, we will 100% be reaching out to Tracy and AAC to help plan our next trip because we know we will be in the best hands.

He listened to all of our requests: a hotel near the hub of each city, hotels that included breakfast in the cost, transfers from each location to the next. It was amazingly smooth and easy. We went to London, Paris, Milan and Rome. There was a transfer company from Heathrow Airport in London taking us to our first hotel. There was a transfer company that took us from the Millenium Hotel to the train station. Each transfer as we hopped from hotel to hotel and city to city was seamless. Flawless attention to details! Thomas had an endless array of recommended tours for each city. He gave us choices on hotels, what we deemed important which, as mentioned earlier, included proximity to the cities we visited, breakfast included and excellent staff at each and every hotel. Planning a honeymoon during COVID was not easy, but Kristi took the challenge head on and removed all the stress & worries completely away from us. We had to change plans last minute, and Kristi's recommendation for our honeymoon was absolutely magnificent. Very quickly, she pivoted our travel plans completely and had a brand new vacation ready for us within 1.5 months from leaving. We travelled to St. Lucia and stayed at Ladera Resort. It was the nicest place I've ever been. The resort and restaurant was incredible. Our room had a pool and didn't have a 4th wall, so we could enjoy the views of the Pitons from our bed! The quality of the service, food, etc. in a place that tropical is unmatched. It absolutely blew our expectations away. Kristi planned everything to the perfect detail and made it so easy for us. We had the most fantastic time. The views were breathtaking, the food was incredible, and our resort was perfect. Kristi even left us a gift of a picture frame with our brand new wedding pictures in our bed the first night. Kristi also planned an incredible sunset cruise, a perfect excursion (hike, waterfalls, volcanos, etc.), and a great wine & food pairing dinner! It was the best vacation we've ever been on. Kristi's hard work translated into the most relaxing, stunning, and memorable trip of our lives. We plan on coming back to Kristi for all of our big trips. She takes the stress out of planning and thinks through the intricate details that can be missed. We'll be back next summer to use her services for our 1-year anniversary!

The Croatia cruise itself was absolutely wonderful--the boat, crew, destinations, and overall…read moreexperience were fantastic. Unfortunately, my experience with the travel agent who organized the trip was very disappointing. At the beginning, communication was fine, but as we asked more detailed questions, her tone became increasingly impatient. In one email, she wrote, "Dana, let's try this again and let me explain this again to you," which I found unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. There were also some important communication issues. Our group of 14 was not informed about a $60-per-person port tax. We didn't learn about it until four or five days into the cruise when the cruise director announced it. The travel agent told us she was unaware of the charge, but I feel an experienced travel professional should make every effort to communicate additional costs to clients. More concerning was her behavior during the cruise. I personally witnessed her tell a member of our group to "fuck off" during an argument. The other woman was intoxicated and was yelling at her, so I understand that it was a difficult situation, but I still felt that response was inappropriate for someone acting as the travel professional for our group. I also personally witnessed her discussing members of our group with other people in the group, which I found unprofessional and uncomfortable. The London portion was also frustrating. My friend and I had planned London separately, but the travel agent decided to join us for part of the trip. She arranged a hotel breakfast without discussing whether we wanted it, booked a walking tour even though we had told her we preferred the Big Bus tour, and arranged a hotel garden tour that we had already indicated we weren't interested in. When we ultimately couldn't make the garden tour, her response was that it was "quite embarrassing" that we weren't attending. Those interactions made me feel that our preferences weren't really being heard or respected. What I found most disappointing was the lack of follow-up. Throughout the cruise, she never checked in with the group to ask how everyone was doing or whether there were any issues. Even after we returned home, there was no message asking whether everyone got home safely or how we felt about the trip. I want to emphasize that Croatia was beautiful and the cruise itself was an amazing experience. My disappointment is specifically with the travel-agent service. I expected professionalism, respectful communication, attention to the group's needs, and follow-through. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I would not use this travel agent again.

Again he got incensed at the fact that I would suggest where to tell him to drop me. He was very rude. He turned around and brought me home and told me to take a taxi!
