Run until you can see no blacktop. This dealer is dishonest. They will lie and lie to sell you anything regardless of its condition. I bought a travel trailer from Globe Motors and between them and Johnson's RV I had a traumatizing experience. Here is my sad, nightmare story: I gave Globe Motors 24 hours to get the travel trailer ready for a systems check. Initially the salesman was trying real hard to get me to sign the contract before the systems check. I told him no way! It was just little me, 90 pounds, 5', and I look like I am in my early 20s. They tried to take advantage of me in every aspect they could, it was so sick I could throw up in my mouth still. The sales man kept trying to distract me from making good judgment calls by telling stupid stories and in the end his cunning ways kind of worked b/c I partly got distracted. These people are bad, you have to be on your feet every second you are on their lot since they tell you nothing of what is wrong about what they are selling you and they tell you hideous stories to keep you confused and distracted taking away your right to make good decisions. The toilet was leaking, the water heater was broken, and sink facet was leaking, and frig. was a goner. I didn't know any of this without the systems check and they knew this; this is why the salesman wanted me to sign the contract before they did the systems check. These people are sick and wrong. I told them saying, "it's just little me, I can't afford any problems so just tell me what's wrong with this trailer!" They didn't have the morals to spare me the pain. I called my friend who is assertive and he said to put them off for the next day and he would come in with me. We needed to make sure the roof wasn't leaking and the air-conditioner was working. I didn't know anything about buying a trailer. In spite of two minds working together these people are so cunning and good at distracting you b/c we were so preoccupied with looking for pins and needles that we still missed the frig. They refused to tell us what was wrong with the trailer even after asking. When my friend showed up with me the next day they hooked up the trailer and we found the toilet leaking, faucet leaking, water heater broken and it had sprayed water all over the working converter and the fuse box. They promise to fix all of these things and I signed the papers. Since my friend wasn't watching when they dictated the contract somehow when the travel trailer was at Johnsons RV I got stuck paying for the converter. They broke it and it wasn't "as is" so I don't know how they got away with me paying for it, my point is; this is how much of con artists this dealership is. They also broke my stairs because they couldn't get them to go in for travel so they took a hammer to them. I don't trust Johnson's RV because they protect and defend Globe Motor's actions over protecting the customer. They didn't mention the frig. either, and they failed to put a gauge on my propane tanks -- while installing the converter. I called Johnson's RV two months later because I was having trouble with my converter and they were very rude and never returned my call even though my converter and the installation work is under warranty. Both of these people should not be in business. They are very nice until they get your money and after that it's "your dirt" to them. I had asked Globe Motors for all the keys, they passed one of the keys as the master key by giving me a duplicate. When I asked for the master key in realizing the duplicate was not the master key they refused to give me the key to my travel trailer. Globe Motors committed identity theft and put my name with their business address claiming that was my physical address on my title. For my safety I refused to give them a physical address for the title until they gave me the master key, but I never got that key and I will have to pay for a new lock before I can turn around and sell this travel trailer. If I was to keep this trailer which I am not, my tabs will go to their business next year because an individual can't do forwarding on a business address. I had a refund coming once my title and plate arrived to my PO BOX but Globe Motors attempted to fight that as well and almost didn't give me that money until I wrote a letter asking about it, that process took over a month. This frig. will cost me over $1500.00 to replace so I can sell the travel trailer before summer is over. read more
