We payed them upfront and it took over 2 months before my wife was invited to design the waterfall island at their lanexa shop then when they set a date it got pushed 3 times. One excuse after another then when they did show up our waterfall island was so mix matched we have to build extended shelving in front of it because they won't fix it. Our kitchen 2 windows were installed the same level and they managed to install the back splash and sills at different levels they won't fix that either, we thought of filing a law suit but after going on case net and finding out what terrible people they are we are going on with our lives. Yes, we got a great deal on the countertop. They were having a clearance sale, so we bought a nice countertop, and it included installation. But that's where the good ended. After we scheduled installation, several things went wrong. 1. They called to postpone. 2. They broke one piece, so had to delay longer. 3. We tried and tried and tried to get an update, and they wouldn't return our calls. Finally got it rescheduled, and installation went fine. 4. It doesn't look like they applied sealer to the countertop. We've called at least 10 times to have them come look, but they won't return the calls. It's been a month. I don't care how cheap it is, do not go there. You're asking for frustration. Update: The manager finally replied to a text, and pretty much just told us to seal it ourselves. We are completely pleased with our new countertops purchased from and installed by Global Stone. They had a great selection to choose from, and we picked a beautiful quartzite. They were able to measure and install within just a couple weeks. Their crew was on-time and professional, and did exceptional work. The original size estimate was larger than actual, so Global Stone promptly adjusted the price and issued a refund. Highly recommend! read more

Buyer beware if you decide to purchase anything from this business. The sales guy & owner had no problem selling us on the benefits of some high dollar carpet for our new home. They obviously have no idea how to manage inventory and/or are not honest with customers. We purchased the expensive carpet but when it was supposed to be installed, we were informed that some of it was not in stock, even though we were assured that it was in stock. We had to have cheap builder's grade carpet installed so that we could pass inspection in order to close on time. Jason the owner told our builder that they would have the carpet overnighted so that it could be installed before our heavy furniture was delivered. That never happened. On the day our movers came to move the heavy furniture they carpet layers finally showed up an hour late. Because the carpet layers were late all our bedroom furniture could not be put in place. It was stored in our living room which we later had to move ourselves. It was a disaster because Jason did not stand behind what was promised. He obviously does not care about providing quality customer service. There was never an apology or any compensation for the inconvenience that we experienced. Again, buyer beware. read more

UPDATE: Global Stone came back out, removed the countertop (what was originally pictured), and laid new countertop down. They took much more pride in their work this go around & the pictures prove it! The flow is nice, the granite pieces match, there's no gaps between the counter & backsplash, and they brought the matching caulk to caulk along the backsplash. They worked hard in making things right and they succeeded! I am so thankful they listened to our concerns, agreed they could do better, and went beyond our expectations. Our kitchen looks great and I couldn't be more pleased with the ultimate outcome. Thank you, David, for turning this bad experience around by providing dedicated employees who were committed in seeing this job through to the end the right way. It's easy to do a great job the first time & call it a day. It's really tough to have a bad review, agree, own up to it, AND make it right. I'm very impressed how the aftermath was handled. #1- do not give Jason all the money for your cabinets or countertops until after they are delivered. We paid him for our cabinets in late February/ Early March, and as of today he has still not delivered them all. The majority were ready for pickup after about 6 months (which he did not warn us about) and several cabinets were missing then. When the missing cabinets were delivered, they were the wrong color. I've been waiting two months now for the correct color cabinets to show up. On top of that- and this is the worst part- he won't answer my phone calls, and only occasionally answers texts. When he does, he tells me the missing cabinets will be delivered "this week". Well, thats been two months so far. So #2, you're gonna need a burner phone to call him so that he will actually answer. If you like the idea of giving somebody thousands of dollars for them to ghost you and not deliver a product for the better part of a year, then go ahead and sign up for that. He has made no mention of trying to make this better for us in any way, and is too much of a coward to even answer the goddamned phone and explain the problem. What kind of a man does business like this? This is all for a house we are flipping, which has carrying costs. You can't sell a flipped house without a kitchen, so he has cost us months of waiting, and thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars. Slightly lower prices on materials is not worth dealing with this scam operation. read more

Tore out tons of drywall on demo, told me to call back after I had it fixed and they would finish the install. Also dinged the woodwork, and walls. Brought the wrong quartz the first time and had to wait 4 weeks before they came back. DO NOT use this company! It ends up costing more to fix their incompetence than to pay a reputable company to do it right the first time. My project is still in limbo while I wait for someone to fix the drywall so they can finish the install. You get what you pay for. read more

We shopped here back in September 2017 for a kitchen remodel, specifically the location in Olathe. The experience was a total waste of time. The sales person, Abby, quoted us a price on tile and countertops. Fortunately, I took pictures of the front and back of all the tile selections, which included pricing. At the last minute, when we were going to pay, she changed the pricing to almost $10 more a sf on the tile. It was selling $15 less a sf elsewhere. She also yanked the pricing off of the back of the tile. When I called her out on it and showed her pictures, stating they cannot legally do this, she quickly back tracked and honored the advertised pricing, claiming they recently increased the price on the tile. She looked really nervous. So, I decided to go home and think about it and made some call to kitchen remodelers. When I mentioned Global Stone's name to two remodelers, they stated they refused to complete our project if we chose to contract with them. Why? They stated they screw up on installations frequently, specifically countertop. One example included an install where they failed to make sure the kitchen countertops were level, so the customer ended up with no countertops for almost 6 weeks due to not being able to install. When I said something to the salesperson about it, she gave me an excuse saying they recently went through a transition and fired installers for these types of problems. She stated we could be assured that we wouldn't have problems with their installation, because she would make sure of it. Right. She was a salesperson--she was not a foreman. Obviously, unless she planned on sitting through the entire installation, she could not guarantee we would not have problems. Empty promised. They were also completely overpriced on faucets and kitchen sinks. They wanted almost $1500 for a farmhouse sink. We found the exact same one online for $600. The pull down semi-professional faucet was about $1000. We could buy a better made one elsewhere for $600. So, we bolted. At the end, she was sending us desperate sounding e-mails saying she wanted our business. The e-mails were way too desperate. If we had not already decided to go elsewhere that would have been the last straw. read more

I researched several companies for our new granite countertops. After checking out prices at Home Depot, I went to Global Stone in Olathe, KS. Their prices were less than Home Depots. John & Jason were great to work with and had our new countertops installed in no time at all. The installers did some wall damage while removing our back splash tile and while putting in the new countertops, but it was repaired. We love our new "Ganache" countertops and have had lots of compliments on them from family and friends. We are now getting ready to put in new flooring and are going back to Global Stone for that as well. read more

I purchased carpet through them and it was pretty expensive for the two bedrooms I was having done. I agreed as I was told that it included installation. Now almost 3 weeks after it was installed they are calling and telling me I owe them another $250 for installation. Not happy and honestly the carpet doesn't even feel like the carpet in the store- feels a lot cheaper than the sample in the store. Beware!! read more

Terrible ! Could not advise against going here more. They will tell you one thing on the floor and then another when it comes time to actually get supplies you order. We specifically stated we wanted only "in stock" tile and stone , they promised us everything we ordered was in.... 3 weeks later and still no tile. On the carpet, they wrote down the room measurements, told us the pieces would be cut, and when our contractor went to pick it up, it was not cut and set us back on getting into our house by a day. A day might seem like a lot but it really is ! This caused both myself and my fiancé more trouble then they are worth. Sure they have a decent selection but prices are no better than any supplier in town. Save your time and anguish and go somewhere else ! read more

This is the quintessential bait and switch. I bought ten various products from them & it was a horror story. They show you one product such as a slab of granite or marble, but then actually give you something from a remnant not even the same color or something returned from a incorrect order. Their customer service is horrible. The owners were rude, sarcastic, condescending. They sit there staring into space while you plead your case especially if you are female. They don't care. It is a racket. I still get sick feeling just driving down I-35 and knowing they are there near 135th street. There are reputable business owners in town who are not out to take you. I would look for them. I am sorry this company was suggested to me by my remodeler. read more

We purchased tiles in August and are now redoing our bathroom, we just realized that they sold us 25 lb bags of grout at over $70 each, when we only needed 5 lb bags...a bit too slick for us, won't do business with them again, it's a matter of integrity, and I agree, those ads are horrendous...you could do better guys read more

Be very careful of doing business with this company. I was so excited when I purchased my granite countertop. I eventually decided to go back and purchase a new sink to be installed at the same time. The granite was installed and I was thrilled until I saw the damage that had been done to my new vinyl flooring by one of their installers dragging my stove across it while removing the stove from my kitchen in preparation of the install. I had just completed installing new waterproof vinyl flooring. I had not made the move to my new place as I was having all of the work completed prior to my move. Upon finding the damage I called the company who referred me to their granite installation manager who did come out to check the damage. After many more emails and phone calls they did eventually send their floor installer out. He advised that he had never worked with vinyl flooring but after being shown how the boards had to be installed agreed, as the flooring was waterproof and required all boards be linked and due to the location of the damaged boards, 1/3 of the flooring had to be removed and reinstalled. This also was the required repair method in accordance with the floor manufacturer. Any other method would break the waterproof seal and cancel my warranty. An appointment was set up for the repair. As they had never asked any information on my flooring right away this seemed to be a problem. So there would be no misunderstanding prior to his coming out another email was sent to the manager documenting what had been agreed upon as a proper repair. When the floor installer showed up to do the repair he showed up with nothing but instructions to rip out the damaged boards and try to shove new ones in place. By the way, it turns out they also expected me to supply any new boards required. As this was not the approved method of repair I refused to let them "try" this. Once again, it was not a proper repair, would have damaged my flooring further and would have voided my flooring warranty. The installer called the owner and I was advised one of the owners would be back in touch with me. This did not happen. Eventually after more emails and phone calls I did receive a call back from one of the owners stating he would check his floor installers schedule and the two of them would could back to my home to look at the floor and discuss a solution. Again, this did not happen.......I finally managed to get a hold of Jason. He apologized and set up an appointment to come out that afternoon to look at the damage and to discuss a solution. He did not bother to show up nor return my call. I followed up with a certified letter documenting all the steps I have taken in trying to resolve this issue and giving them an end date to work with me on a repair or resolution. They did not respond. I have now filed a complaint with the BBB but have doubts this will be of any concern for them. Unfortunately I will have to move forward in another direction. Before you do business with this company you might want to read their yelp reviews as well as their Google reviews. I know I wish I had taken the time to do that. If you decide to move forward I hope you do so cautiously, being aware that there is no customer service here after you make your purchase. read more

I ordered a shower door from them and paid for install as well, first door was lost they said ( the owner you know the one that wears the glasses on tv) would be here before Xmas, I call just before Xmas and was told it would be Jan 15, Jan 15 comes they bring out a door, guess what not the door I ordered, wrong one.. they said they would order a third door as i went to the store on Jan 15th and spoke with the lady who ordered the door (Diane) she said she would order the correct door. And it would be in 2 weeks. I called today Feb 8 and spoke again with Diane and asked about my shower door, she told me it would be here next week. I said just give me back my money and money for the install I paid for and she told me no. she says they already paid for the door to be here next week. I told her to have the owner call me. lets see if he calls, not holding my breath. I would not tell someone I truly hate to shop at this store and i will never bless their store again. I purchased a sample of mosaic tile from Global Stone. I was told I could bring it back if it didn't suit my purposes. They did not mention any caveats at the time. It did not work for my kitchen back-splash, so I decided to return it. After driving 30 miles and being stuck in an I-35 construction traffic jam for an hour, I arrived and was completely ignored for several minutes. The clerk who finally waited on me informed me that she would charge a 25% restocking fee and $15 to return the sample to the manufacturer. That meant I would have to pay THEM to return their merchandise. Nobody told me this policy at the time I originally purchased the sample. I was told the owner was on vacation, but he may override that charge & refund the money on my card without having to return to the store. After a few weeks with no credit transaction on my bank account I called & spoke to Jason. He reiterated the policy, but grudgingly obliged to refund my $20. So far, nothing has happened. So I say, buyer beware. I have since bought tile from the Tile & Stone Warehouse at I-35 & Antioch and have been very pleased with their service, selection and prices. read more

A company must go to extraordinary measures to drive me to write a review. In doing so, I can only hope to save another builder the frustration. In the process of building a new home, our builder had a long-standing relationship with Global Stone. Early in the process, my wife and I started to see issues with their processes. We met with Dave, the owner, as he guided us through our selections. We found items we liked, but had to be closely guided through the process as many items were not priced or could not be ordered. Global stone has a single e-mail address. After emailing the plans 3 times, I had to provide a set of blueprints to Dave, so he could provide us a quote. Following repeated requests, I received the initial quote, which was more than $5,000 overbudget. Dave admitted he did not thoroughly calculate the square footage and assured me the excess material could be returned. He used the square footages I provided him which put us underbudget. We then waited for Dave to contact our builder for payment. Due to the continued issues, the builder had started the process of switching vendors. We promptly removed our granite and hardwood from the order. We found that Lowe's had many of the same product as GS but for less. Dave agreed to match the price. We purchased our own tile from other vendors as GS often sells you something they do not stock. They promise it will be a couple of days, and those days turn into weeks. After finalizing the list, both myself and my builder continued to ask Dave to get the tile ordered. More than a week went by without Dave returning phone calls. My builder had to call the mother of one of the owners to push this through. If it hadn't been so much work to pick out the tile, we wouldn't have ordered anything from Global Stone. After the tile was ordered, it took several days longer than promised. After following up several times, we were notified it was in. After arriving to the store to pick up the tile, we were informed it was only partially received and would be in the following day. Dave did not offer to deliver the tile, but said we could pick it up the next day. I agreed and we moved on. We needed an additional box of tile and was told we could pick it up in a couple of days. After waiting 3 days, I called to follow up. I was told it wasn't in and would be in the next day. This went on for 4 days. After many excuses, I was informed the tile was at Emzer and was asked if I could pick it up. I informed Dave that I would not be taking off more time to go and pick up tile. He conceded to deliver the tile. Next is the carpet. We had seen their work in other houses and had to be present to ensure they did not make the same mistakes they had prior. We were not present for the entire stair install which had to be finished the next day. Christopher Davis, who for some reason has written a 5-star review, manages the carpet installations. In fact, several of the positive reviews have been written by the employees. The uninstalled stair carpet was placed in our master bedroom. After the carpet was installed, we put down carpet protector. As my wife was installing the carpet protector, along with one of our subs, she noticed a strange line in the carpet. We concluded by the time line it must have occurred while the stair carpet was being cut. We immediately contacted Dave to let him know what we found. Dave agreed to send Chris Davis out to look at the damage. Since the carpet protector was near, and a crease was in the carpet protector, Chris concluded my wife must have cut the carpet. Dave wouldn't tell me this himself, instead sent a text telling me to contact Chris. Chris told me there was no way it was the stair installer and told me I could pay to have it replaced or live with it. We are currently living with it, so thank you Chris. Lastly, after being told by Dave that all the additional tile could be returned, we were then informed special-order and partial tile could not be returned. GS is disorganized, dishonest, and shady. read more
