I found the service very pleasurable . The people in the service department where very nice and helpful. My car was very clean when I picked it up witch was very nice. The only thing that I found a little wrong was that I didn't find the young Lady that answered the phone to be very friendly she had a very dry tone and seemed to be very short every time I called.this was the only reason I didn't give them a 5 star read more

We bought a Cooper S on December 22. Vikash Joshi, our salesman, was wonderful. We were in a car wreck and didn't know if our car was totaled or repairable but we knew either way, we were getting a new car. It was a toss up between a Fiat 500 or the Cooper. After meeting Vikash and seeing the Global dealership, we chose the Cooper. I picked out the one I wanted and left to wait on the insurance company. The next weekend we went back to look again and make a list of Coopers we wanted in case one sold while we waited longer for the insurance company. Sergei assisted this time as Vikash was with another customer. He was very helpful in picking out 3 Coopers. Two weeks later, the car is totaled. We called Vikash on Thursday to tell him that on Saturday we were coming in to buy. He emailed the paperwork and the financial documents, we agreed on the Cooper and the price. Saturday morning, my Cooper was waiting. The Finance manager was helpful (I love seeing the warranties on the Ipad-it didn't feel like I was getting ripped off) and we left with the car we wanted at the price we wanted. BEWARE OF THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT - Before you buy a Mini from Global Import Mini Check out the service Department, they will promising the world and their service reps go above and beyond to promise that they will take care of any issue but when they really need to back up their promise just hollow promises. Talking to other Mini Owner - Top answers they will give you for rough idle - You're not using tier 1 gas, Carbon buildup on intake Manifold, Fuel Injectors needs cleaning. My Problem was a Faulty Fuel Pump that is on a Recall not Carbon build up on intake manifold. $700 for repair that was not needed. He Agreed that they should have tried the fuel pump first instead of doing the carbon cleaning on the manifold ( Big Profit Margin). Get a Second Opinion I have been taking my mini to be serviced to Global Import Mini since I bought the car in 2008. They lost my trust today, last month I brought my mini in for a check engine light (I checked the code and it was for an engine misfire) and a coolant leak. I was told that the water pump was bad and the check engine light was due to Carbon build up on the intake manifold. I told them I just had the carbon build up cleaned 30k miles ago. I was questioning the carbon buildup diagnosis of issues with the mini cooper since it was cleaned by them. I had them fix the issue at a cost of $700 per item for repair. This is a known issue due to the Design of the engine where the oil vapors are recirculated through the intake manifold and direct fuel injection system does not wash over the intake valves to keep them clean of deposits and the turbo models are worst about this. I checked with other mini owners and Carbon build up does happen but not every 30k miles. They told me they found a code in the on-board diagnostic for fuel pump and they were going to be replaced it to be on the safe side and it was covered under the warranty. Wow that was nice of them so I thought. This is where they lost my trust and I have to question everything now. I found out today that there was a recall on the fuel pump and all the symptoms I was having was due to the fuel pump and not carbon build up. It's a shame that they would tack on service just to make a sales quota. I just had the mini in for a scheduled maintenance and they did not address the recall on the fuel pump, the recall on for the fuel pump was already published at that time. I got the same line about it was the gasoline issue that it was not 3 tier fuel. I use nothing but premium from QT or Exxon. It's ironic that when the car was under warranty they just did the minimum work but once out of warranty all there are all kinds of services required. Warranty work is not as profitable as regular service but push service that may not be required to make sales quota. They lost my trust. I will have to find another place for service. read more

I had by far the best car buying experience with Sergei Antipov. He is nice, professional, informative, and helpful. The entire buying process was smooth and delightful. Sergei helped us find the perfect car at the price we can afford. He patiently explained to us every details of the car after the transaction even though the dealer was already close. The finance department efficiently handled our paper works. We were well informed with all the finance and warrantee options with no pressure of buying any instantly. The drama started on the third day I had my car. My kid left the rare door open when I was backing the car out of the garage. The rare driver door was pushed a little further back by the garage upright and can no long be close properly. It leaves a one inch gap on the top when close. I called the Global Imports collision center. Even though, the collision center was all booked up for this month, they were able to squeeze me in for an estimate. I arrived about an hour before my appointment time due to the change of my schedule. Harrison Davis gave a warm welcome and offered me an instant estimate. Davis examined my car carefully and gave me his opinions. To be accurate, Davis called technician Mark Rodeck for a second opinions. Mark came out spent several minutes inspecting the damage and then some unbelievable things happened. Mark was able to adjust the door back to the right position with a couple of pushes and bends. I was charged nothing, not a penny, for getting the problem fixed instantly and Davis even offered a car wash to check if any leaking problem. I can't appreciate Mark and Davis enough for rescuing my new car buying experience. I have been pretty upset and disturbed for several days because of this incident and now I am a happy mini owner again. I highly recommend you try Global collision center before you go to anywhere for bodywork. read more

Horrible Experience! I had a 2008 Mini Cooper convertible that broke down in Atlanta. I had the car towed to the closest dealership for repairs. The car was under warranty and the transmission needed to be replaced. They told me that I would get a brand new transmission and it would cost $9,700 for the total repairs and the warranty would cover it with a $250.00 deductible. I was told it would take about 4 days to do the work. My warranty covered a rental car for one week. After about a week, they told me the axle was on back order from Germany and it would get here soon. My husband called to see if we could get a loaner car and the service manager was so rude and told him that it was not his problem and we do not loan cars out of state. So we had to cover our own rental for weeks. Well, 44 days later I received the car back and they told me the transmission was under a 2 year unlimited mile warranty. Within two weeks I was having problems with the car. I decided to take it to Mini of Knoxville since I live in Tennessee and was not impressed with the Global Mini service department. They worked on the car for almost two months and told me the transmission was not new, just refurbished. Although the car broke down within a week of getting it back from Knoxville, I had a better experience in Knoxville, the staff was very nice and furnished me with a loaner vehicle. They seemed to care more for the customer. Global basically lied about everything from the start. They lied about putting in a brand new transmission and that's committing fraud. BMW and Mini should be ashamed for not accepting full responsibility for the class action lawsuit on these junk cars that will leave you stranded. read more

Caveat emptor. If you don't know what that means, look it up. You'll see a picture of this group by the definition. Let me tell you how I avoided almost $5300 in unneeded repairs from Global. Look closely at this thread. See the few posts with 3 stars or higher? Those are reviews of people's sales experience, or service work UNDER WARRANTY. Global's sales and service writers are paid to be friendly, and their waiting room is full of cute MINI ambiance. It's fun to be part of the MINI clique. Now, see all the 1 star reviews? That's for service out of warranty, the work people have to pay for. And trust me folks-- do your research-- you will need major repairs on a MINI. They are known for failing thermostat housings, valve covers, timing chains, etc., etc. That's not Global's fault entirely, but they know what they're selling. My very well maintained, maturely driven Cooper S has had most of those problems with only 80,000 miles on it. Once the warranty expired, I started having it serviced by a very reputable, 5 star independent BMW/MINI shop down the road. They charge HALF of what Global would, and they know what they're doing. This week the high pressure fuel pump went out. The symptoms were obvious-- hard starting in the morning, but running great once the fuel pressure built up enough to get fuel flowing. Then it would stay up enough all day for me to start it easily again. My shop looked at it and diagnosed that basic issue. I would have had them fix it, but MINI had put out a bulletin extending the fuel pump warranty to 10 years, probably to avoid a general recall or class action lawsuit. At my shop's suggestion, I took it to Global to perform this work, and only this work, under the extended warranty. But having dealt with dealerships for decades, I suspected what was coming. Right on cue, the friendly service writer called to tell me I had (a) a major oil leak, (b) a leaking coolant pump, (c) a stretched timing chain that slipped a tooth-- everything but a bad fuel pump. It was pure conjecture, did not fit the symptoms. At all. My well cared-for and frequently inspected car is dripping NO coolant and NO oil on my driveway. I asked for someone else to take another look based on the facts. They said the service manager did and backed up his mechanic. If you know anything about cars, you should know that with a slipped timing chain it would (a) not start at all and (b) have ruined the valves since MINI's have an "interference head." Didn't happen. In addition, they said the hard start was because the valves needed an expensive carbon cleaning (um,.. why does it run fine on the road, if "the arteries were clogged" as they said?). This thread shows they push that "remedy" a lot. Note that Global had taken NOTHING apart at this point. THEY DIDN'T EVEN RUN A FUEL PRESSURE TEST! Their approach was just pure conjecture and bad judgment. And, they wouldn't replace the fuel pump under warranty, claiming MINI would not pay for it if Global didn't diagnose it. I got in my rental car and drove to Global, paid $99 for their "diagnosis" which they said they would "waive" if I allowed their repairs, and had the porter bring my car around. It started for him immediately, and it ran great, no thanks to Global (meaning, they had started car themselves earlier and knew or should have known it was a fuel pressure issue, not a slipped timing chain or anything else). I drove it to my usual shop, and had someone help me get the rental car from Global later. So I just avoided the $5300 Global wanted to charge me for nothing that would fix the obvious problem. But now I have to pay $650 to fix a fuel pump that MINI USA should have fixed under warranty, but for Global's incompetence. My go-to technician (who owns a shop that gets nothing but 4 and 5 star reviews from those who have learned the dealership lesson) was stunned. He confirmed that my car had none of the dire problems Global claimed, or it would have been in his interest to have me pay to fix them! They performed a fuel pressure test like Global should have, got the fuel pump error code, and printed it out for my use. Now I get to fight with MINI USA to try to get them to pay for the bad pump under warranty despite how badly Global botched all of this. I feel sorry for those people who don't know enough about cars to know when they're being fed a line to shell out hundreds or thousands of dollars unnecessarily. Look at all these 1 star reviews of Global again. How many were from misdiagnosis and inept service? The problem with online reviews, is that the dealer's manager (or social media marketer) will soon show up to try to resurrect the company reputation by sounding reasonable while people are ranting. They will post cliches like "customer satisfaction is our #1 priority" and "we're sorry you had a bad experience! Here's my number to call and talk about it." They're smooth; that's their job. But you've been warned. read more

I called at 7:15 am to attempt to get a quote on replacing a broken window on a 2010 Mini. I was transferred to the parts department where they were quick to give me the price for a new window. When I asked about installation, I was told that I would need to talk to the service department. I was transferred to a receptionist who had trouble even getting my phone number. She had to make several trips to a service tech only to tell me that they would have to put together some numbers and get back to me. I called back around lunch time only to be told that they were very busy but I would have a quote by the end of the day. I called back again at 5:00 pm and was put on hold for 20 minutes without ever getting an answer. I never received any call back so I called again the following morning. Again I was put on hold by a receptionist who had to go ask someone about the quote. When she returned to the line she informed me that the service tech said every car is different and I would need to bring it in to get a quote. Are you kidding me? I provided the VIN number in the beginning so they know EXACTLY which car I have. Unbelievably poor service for a business that is supposedly proud of their customer service abilities. I purchased my vehicle from them and as with most car dealers, once they get your money they could care less about anything else. Thanks for NOTHING Global Mini. You have wasted my time and I am back to square one with replacing broken glass. read more

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A CUSTOMER REP CHECKED MY LINKEDIN ACCOUNT ONLINE! in June 2014, I waited in the shop for two hours for my car to receive a free clinic inspection. Upon completion of the inspection, the technician then explained that I had a major repair issue concerning the oil gasket (but they totally missed the fact that I had a fog light that was not working or burnt out). The irony is that I first brought my car to this dealer when it was under warranty in 2010 to address an oil/intake problem. Of course, they found no such gasket/intake problem at that time, when it was under warranty. In addition, I recently (late 2013) spent about $3500 at this dealer for clutch repairs, which are not covered under warranty. I brought it back to this MINI dealer (as opposed to MINI of South Atlanta) because I wanted to be sure I used all factory parts and specs and that the car would be repaired in accordance to the proper manufacturing standards. When I received the news of the oil/gasket issue in June, I questioned the customer service rep about this diagnostic, and I mentioned the oil/gasket issues that I have had with this car since 2010. The rep didn't seem to care about anything that I was saying and he blew me off, so I promptly called the GM to complain (and left a message for his attention). After complaining, GM Cahill called me back and said he would get back to me after I explained the situation; but, shortly thereafter, I noticed that one of the customer service reps (someone from this dealership) had checked my LinkedIn account. A day or so later I received an email from the service manager TUCKER (offering me 20% off on the issues flagged during the inspection, but there was nothing about the customer service complaint). Mr. TUCKER made no mention of my complaints about the poor customer service (but he didn't have any problems quoting the costs of potential new repairs - approximately $5000), and I was highly offended that a customer service rep checked my LinkedIn account. Because of that I called MINI USA to complain (and I heard nothing from them after they took my complaint, so I persisted with MINI until I received a call back from someone from management). Once I had talked to a manager from MINI USA, GM Cahill finally called me back and accused me of being "irrational" for asserting to MINI USA that there was something discriminate or disparate about checking my LinkedIn profile before he or his agent (service manager TUCKER) addressed my issue with the poor customer service. GM Cahill asserted that he did not see anything problematic (disparate) with checking a customer's LinkedIn profile. Of course, I disagreed with him. He was so agitated and defensive about the whole situation that he then informed me that he did not want to do business with me anymore. Indeed, the feeling was mutual, but, in response to his refusal to do any further business with me, I asked for an assurance that the $3500 worth of work that I paid for last winter would be recognized or honored by another dealer in the area if something were found to be wrong or defective with the work that was performed to fix my clutch/flywheel. He promptly sent me an email indicating that any other local authorized dealer could attend to any problem associated with the work that had been performed in November at Global MINI. Well, I think it goes without saying that I have no intentions of taking my car there again, or buying another MINI for that matter, but I DO NOT recommend this dealer, and especially not for black women who might dare to question the business and customer service practices. If you do, the GM or his reps might feel entitled to arbitrarily check your LinkedIn account before responding to your request/complaint. Buyer be SMART - and go elsewhere. As for my situation, this MINI dealer and MINI USA have not heard the last from me. read more

The service for my Mini was great! I made an appointment when I wanted it and that was great and the service department took care of the problem with my car. I reserved a loaner. Big Problem! I left my car to be serviced and the next day I went to pick my car up and I was told I wrecked the loaner. I don't know how, since I only drove it to my house and parked it inside my garage. When I returned the loaner, Gary Stevens told me I had to pay him $300 before I could get my car (my car is still under warranty). For over 20 years, I have gotten loaner cars when I brought my cars in to be serviced at different dealerships and this is the first time ever I have been accused of damaging a car! The loaner I had was a dark gray Mini that has a mark on the bumper like someone had put paint on it. Please make sure you check every loaner car you get from this dealership & check the car when you return it. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE THIS! read more
