I never write reviews but this was a horrible experience. I used to come here all the time but stopped because it's very expensive. But I decided to come for a free session that they were offering and I waited for 50 minutes and watched other people come in after me get put into rooms and assisted. I also was coerced into buying another over priced lotion when I already had one with me. It was $77 even after a 40% off but the girl literally wouldn't let me say no. Meanwhile everyone else that came in for free sessions were offered sample lotions to try out and I was not offered that. The 3 month minimum contract is not really that convenient. Especially since you have to give 30day notice of when you're stopping. The mystic spray tan isn't always even; versa spa is better but this location doesn't have it. Custom airbrush tans are amazing! They've lasted longer and been more even at this location than any other business I've went to. Always even. Staff is always extremely friendly and accommodating. I would have rated 5 stars, but the mystic spray was just a waste of my money for three months. You can switch any time. But I traveled and could not tan in the beds. I was on contract so had to stay and just do the best I could blending with an at-home self tanner. read more

I cancelled my membership when the month was over and Glo continued to charge me for 4 more months without my knowledge. I contacted customer service and they were very unhelpful and only offered store credit and would not refund the money they took from my account without my knowledge. read more

i've never really had a problem with glo until recently, i feel like anytime i go the spray tan machines are always broken down, any location i go too... the past 3 times i've tried to get a spray tan (have all been at different locations) one of the spray booths is always down. Tanning beds are great quality and building is very clean, but I was anxious every time I walked into bed tan. The staff is so incredibly pushy about upgrading your package, doing an extra service while you're there even if you just want to do one, buying a more expensive lotion, etc. I ended my membership because I always left feeling bad about my constant "no thank you's", that I could not just come in and relax with the service I was paying for, and felt as if/was told the products I bought (on a college budget) were not good enough or safe after I did extensive research, knowing they just wanted me to buy their products. All of my friends agree it is an anxious experience with the staff as some are way too pushy and oversteps customer service boundaries, wish this wasn't the case as I enjoyed the actual service there. read more

She always seems to have an attitude anytime I come into this location. When I was not interested in buying a product from her, she seemed frustrated and no longer seemed engaging. The only positive thing I have to say is that Charlie was the sweetest lady to work with. She was extremely patient and did great multitasking. After reading the "terms and policy agreement" I was extremely displeased with the company standards and did not agree to sign up. I did however pay a pro-rate amount for two days of use for the month that does need to be refunded because management had not trained Charlie on how to refund anything and when called on the phone she refused to walk Charlie through it and informed her to call customer service and have them take care of it. Poor customer service from management and guests services because no one answered or was willing to help the very nice lady Charlie. After reading the many reviews on here I am very glad I opted out of wanting to join because as I stated several times I was ONLY interested in spray tan and seems this company has major issues with their spray beds and that was not mentioned once to me, very disappointing to know I was almost out of pocket so much for something that would have been so little able to use. Went in for my first time to try it out, took 2 minutes to sign the waiver. The salon was empty and i was excited for my experience in a new tanning place considering i've worked at one myself. The short blonde working proceeded to completely disregard my existence when i went back to return the ipad and get a spray tan going. Multiple people then walked in and she made a point to address every single person with me standing infront of her waiting for her to even acknowledge my existence. She was very rude when i finally spoke up and asked when i was going to be helped. I will never return to this location and i'm unsure of if i'll ever sign up with Glo. I would've never treated a prospective client the way i was treated today. Hopefully she learns to do better! If you can't perform well in a fast pace environment with a good attitude, then you shouldn't work customer service. read more

The staff are always friendly and I am greeted immediately. I love to spray tan... seriously love it. I've been to several of the locations and they are always clean and have plenty of stock of some of my favorite self tanning items. In fact if they don't have it, they will call another store to get it. My sprays tans last several days, even though I run at least four days a week. Very disappointed in the lack of training Glo Tanning gives their customer service reps and the management of the company altogether. My daughter went in for a spray tan and told the rep she did NOT want a membership when Hannah, the rep, tried to upsell it to her. She told her that she could get 4 spray tans for one rate so my daughter said she would do that but little did she know the rep placed her into a membership which also had an enrollment fee attached to it. She had her sign the contract and not explain to her what she was even signing. Her 1 spray tan which should have been $20 dollars turned into $125 and Glo Tanning WILL NOT refund her the money even though they failed to send her a copy of the contract she signed and send her text messages! I DO NOT recommend this place at all...crappy customer service and even worse management. My daughter is a freshman in college on a limited budget and this place just screwed her out of $100. It takes a pretty shitty company to lie and steal from a young adult. They need to train their people better and be willing to refund for mistakes their employees make!!!!!! I'm not the most experienced tanner, but the staff at Sandy Beaches are super helpful. I walked in the first day, not knowing exactly what I wanted to do but I was greeted right away and they walked through all of the packages and specials that they were offering and were very knowledgeable about the beds and lotions. Once I had my membership and was a regular customer, they were super kind about greeting me and getting me into a bed right away. They always have smiling faces and are happy to help! read more

Don't get this membership if you plan to spray tan. I have been three times in 2 weeks and each time the spray tan machine stops halfway through. I have gotten a singular successful spray tan this entire month with my $80/month membership. I don't understand why they offer spray tans when they cannot maintain the machines. This is not a location specific problem. This happened to me twice at this location and once at another (both in Norman). I have had a spray tanning membership at other companies (who offer significantly cheaper prices) for over 10 years and have NEVER had this problem and it has happened to me THREE times. The only remedy they offered me was $20 off my next month membership fees. But why would I continue this membership if they do not offer the services I pay for? I am a streaky mess and I have a date tomorrow. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional company. I will be cancelling my membership because of the abhorrent business practices they keep. read more

I've tanned here for four years. Spent hundreds of dollars. Would save up my money and pay 300+ upfront (cause I'm college student who has to save up for tanning lol) in order to not sign up for a tan plan membership where they draft monthly. Ending up being charged for tan plan anyway without knowledge. Since they changed drafting companies during this time, the charges didn't draft from my account right away, so I wasn't aware of the charges in order to stop them... So instead, the charges of two months ($150) hit my account at all once two months late after it was "too late to reverse them". Bottom line- if you're anything like me who has to save up their money to buy tanning.... Make sure you're not unknowingly in a tan plan or let them ever keep your credit card on file. Love the salon, hate that I had so many issues with money..... And had to bend over backwards to get compensation. I still feel like I got screwed. User beware of excess charges . Used Sandy Beach once for our vacation prep. Canceled account, but only got refunded one of our account charges. Later we discovered they continued to bill our credit card $5 every month. This has been going on for the past 7 months. We called and they refused to refund the charges stating our account was froze not canceled. For some reason only one of the two accounts were canceled. We had to call guest services. They stated they would "help us out" and refund half the $35 charged.??? WTF??? This company is stealing money from unsuspecting customers. Check your card transactions. read more

I absolutely love this tanning salon! I've gone here for years, and have never had a problem. In fact, they've been very cool in the past and credited free tans to my account for mishaps, being closed due to weather, ect. I think the prices are fair, too, and the beds are always clean and in good condition. They have a good selection of lotions, and always have some that are discounted for a extended amount of time. I've always found the staff friendly and helpful, and I really like that you aren't forced to sign a contact, and they will let you pay month to month, of course, you have the option to sign up for recurring payment.
