DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF SCAMMED AND THEN GHOSTED - the extension themselves were AWFUL, they felt like cheap 5$ tape ins you get on Amazon they tangled CONSTANTLY and shed half the weight in a week! - I got my hair and paid 1,000$ for my hair extensions she told me it was going to be 235$ to install (so already 1,235$) I paid for my hair and i got my hair done and all of sudden after my hair was installed the total was some how 450$ not the 235$ like we had discussed. I did have a few highlights put in but the means she charged me 215$ to just put in like 5 highlights. I have really thin hair to begin with so it's not like there was a lot to highlight. Even then she didn't tell me that was going to cost an extra 215$. So I shelled out the money anyway. My total was now 1,450$ (literally a months rent) and left I scheduled to have my hair taken out and re-installed. I had to reschedule due to work schedule conflicts and then she completely ghosted me. I called her, texted her, messaged her on Instagram and never heard anything back, weeks and weeks go by and my extension just start falling out and now my hair is RUINED!!!!! I am very disappointed. I specifically pointed out to my stylist the length in which I wanted my hair to be, and based on that, she made a recommendation. This was my first time getting extensions. My hair ended up a little bit fuller, however absolutely not any longer. Longer was my primary goal. They gladly took my money, of course, but were quite dismissive about my lack of satisfaction. I was told if I wanted longer, I would just have to purchase new hair. I could understand this if I changed my mind and wanted longer than I originally requested, however this was not the case. I made my desired length very clear at my initial appointment. This was an error in judgment on the part of my stylist, and I'm very disappointed that there was no effort made toward a better outcome, especially considering the cost. I've been sick since the beginning of 2018 so I lost a lot of hair due to all my meds. After lots of research, I decided I wanted to try keratin extensions to try to fill in my hair. I've never had extensions before (except the clip-ins for my wedding), so I was a little nervous at first, especially since I have naturally curly hair. Caitlin walked me through everything I needed to do, and the girls at the front desk were awesome to answer any of my questions when I called. I told Caitlin I wanted the most keratin extensions possible, so she matched my hair, and did 30% of the extensions in an off shade to add some natural highlights to my hair. When I arrived for my appointment she was ready to go and took her time to make sure everything was perfect. She gave me a great shampoo to make sure my hair was super clean, then she dried my hair and got to work. I was worried that they'd be too heavy, or that it would be difficult to sleep. I have to say, it's a little heavier, but nothing like I imagined... I thought my head was going to feel weighed down and that's not the case. I purchased a satin sleep cap which definitely helped keep my hair from going all over when I sleep. When I saw my finished hair I was amazed at how natural it looked! I was originally going to cut it down to be shorter, but I think I like the long look and will keep it for awhile. I can't say enough good things about Caitlin and Glo Salon! I feel fantastic, and I'm already getting lots of compliments on my hair! Here's the before and after photos. I've seen Diana four times now -- once for my consult, to put the extensions in, and two maintenances. Diana is the loveliest person, truly a joy to work with and chat to. She's very sweet and sincere and I feel like my hair is as important to her as it is to me. The staff has all been lovely as well, and I feel very comfortable and welcomed there. The only thing I would say is that they aren't great at letting you know how much things will be. You have to ask the front desk, and sometimes you don't know until your appointment is over. I found Jordan and Glo on Yelp and through a few word of mouth referrals to the salon. I had been trying out different extension methods and currently had some damage and breakage due to wearing extensions that didn't suit my hair type. Which is FINE! Baby fine! And so as a girl who has worn clip ins for over a decade, having something installed felt like the way to go. Well after trusting someone who wasn't mindful of the integrity of my natural hair I didn't think trusting another stylist or salon would come easy. But all that changed when Jordan answered my call into the salon! She removed the current damaging extensions, and since I could tell she was very knowledgeable as I explained why I wanted them removed, I asked her blindly what she would do if she were me and what she would recommend on hair like mine. She recommended tape in extensions. I had yet to try this method but I just had a feeling about her. I left the salon, extension free but SO INSECURE. I felt bald and humiliated. I had no idea how to hide the damage and knew even clip ins would further damage my fragile hair after what it had been through. All I scheduled that visit was a removal, bc I certainly didn't think I would end up finding and trusting a new stylist so fast. I went home and did my research on tape ins and read all the recommendations from other people with super fine hair like mine and how when done right, was almost damage free. I trusted my gut about Jordan and set up an install appt. I had to change the appt a few times and she was always so kind and accommodating! I quickly became very excited for another go at extensions, this time with what sounded like and what I hoped would be perfect for my hair type. What felt like forever (due to my crazy schedule) finally came and I was able to get in finally to see Jordan!! The results were INSANE! Jordan color matched and blended me to perfection! The texture even mimicked my natural hair. My hair looks just like mine but WAAAAAY BETTER w/ more volume and length. But soooo natural!!!!! I had been going to Jaylah at Glo Extensions for about 6 months to have my sewn in extensions moved up (regular maintenance). Approximately 2 months ago, I discussed with Jaylah that I was going to be putting in new extensions as I had a big event coming up. I explained to Jaylah that I purchase the actual extensions from my colorist who hand dyes them to match my hair color. I told Jaylah that I wanted her to install the new extensions consistent with how she has sewn in the previous ones (consistent with our prior appointments). We discussed timing and set an appointment for me to come in prior to but close to the day of the event. An hour before my appointment, I received a call from Heather telling me that I had to buy the hair extensions from Glo Extensions or they would not install them. I explained that I had arranged this two months ago and waiting until the last minute to tell me they would not honor their previous commitment was outrageous. She would not change her mind - even for this one time - regardless of the commitment that had been made. The only remedy they offered was to purchase the extensions from them for them to install. In her words "if I do this for you, I will have to do it for everyone and I can't do that". In a subsequent communication, Heather's husband indicated that they had this particular policy for a decade. I don't understand how they would expect a customer to know this when their own employee is not aware of the policy. Owning a business is hard. I hope they see the lesson here and do a better job training staff and communicating policies. Perhaps consider if there are other "informal" or undocumented policies that should be formalized and shared with staff. Consider posting those for customers where there is no flexibility. Again, I would not use this service for preparation for a big event as they have no problem cancelling a commitment. read more

I went in awhile ago for a consultation but both the stylist and the owner didn't really "get me". I left with them not being able or willing to do my hair extensions after describing my request (longer than normal extensions) perhaps it required too much effort or they couldn't make enough $$$ off of me? I was so happy to have beautiful long locks for the past year with Glo Salon! Cortney and Caitlin are both super-precious and very gifted. The big complaint that I have is that I could never feel like I knew what things would cost. I could ask, throughout the entire appointment, what everything would cost and then be caught off guard when it came time to pay. They stylists don't know. If I questioned anything, I was "gently" told off by the admin, "Well, I wish you would have said something at the time." If you aren't a savvy business person, you won't like it. Its too bad. They lost my business and my sister's. I would have loved to send people over there but I can't because of what my husband calls "business by intimidation". When you have a complaint, and the response is angry, you won't go back. Simple as that. And everyone should know that REMOVING tapes costs $50 per pack. No one really talks about that. I guess it is somewhere in the literature but I don't remember ever seeing it. And I read everything, to the detail, since we were working so hard to save for these extensions. I am so blessed to have found this salon and Heather!! My family just moved to Colorado from California and I have had Great Lengths extensions for over 6 years now and needed some desperate hair love!! My hair was breaking off due to chemical damage from bleach overlap and the hair on my crown was burnt off to a wopping 2 inches, if that. I was able to get in quickly for a consultation with Heather. Being super hesitant, super self conscious and super intimated I walked into Glo for my consult and was immediately at ease with these feelings all washed away within a matter of minutes. My consultation well exceeded my expectations and I walked out an hour later feeling like my confidence had already been boosted. I have been seeing Heather and team for tape in extensions for over 2 years and I couldn't be happier. The quality of the hair is incomparable! Every stylist there is equally amazing...I would trust any of them with the application of my extensions. My initial consultation 2 years ago made me feel so comfortable with giving Glo my business. I contributed to this business for the first and last time. During my consultation my initial welcoming from the receptionist was a negative experience in itself. She was rude and gave off a judgmental vibe. The girl who actually talked to me about the specifics regarding the hair extensions was very sweet and had a great personality. I knew they were a pricy place, but considering the implications of my hair being a hard red to match I was willing to pay. Once they were put in they looked great but when it came time to pay the receptionist with an attitude problem had blunty asked me how much I want to tip the girl who put them in while the girl was sitting next to her. With both of them just starring at me waiting for a response, I gave into the peer pressure and stated the amount to tip. How inappropriate. No one should enforce their business with intimidation. A waitress would not hover over a table asking how much of a tip they are going to receive from their guests because ITS RUDE AND DAUNTING. Within the first two weeks my hair became very dry using their products and recomindations. I called and left five messages for Heather for some guidance and didn't receive any returned calls. Finally, her husband, who is also an owner called to address my current concerns. Only then did I manage to get Heathers attention to look at my hair. While she was looking at my hair she couldn't really tell me what I was doing wrong or what I wasn't doing for my hair. I had also brought to her attention that the color of my extensions had faded and she informed me it shouldn't fade anymore than it already had. Well it has drastically faded. I'm on the third month of having these in and its not only frizzy but the color doesn't match. I tried to reach out again regarding the color and have yet to hear a response back. I trusted them with almost 2,000 dollars to be a respectable business and I am now misfortunate enough to experience the impertinent of this salon. Spending 2500$ and not getting what you want deserves one star no matter how nice the staff is. And let me clear, I had NO idea that is what the final price would be. I have wavy hair but I wear it straight, EVERY day, so naturally I asked for straight extensions. Not only that but I asked for a straightening treatment prior to having my extensions put in. Not sure what "straitening" treatment they use because it did absolutely nothing (I have had my hair straightened over 20 times) but you better believe I was charged for it! Not only that but the extensions they put in my hair were so curly it took me 20 extra mins every day. Lastly, they added product to my purchase telling that was my only option to take care of my extensions. Which I will be honest I should've just said no, because I have been getting extensions for over 10 years and I know better but hey I am just too damn nice to say no. Not only were the products (pureology) terrible, they made my extensions mat almost as soon I was down brushing them! Yes I have had the exact same extensions before and I used Alterna Hair caviar. Don't change what's working girls!! Lastly, they take it upon themselves to schedule you for a follow up treatment, which I didn't know about until the receptionist rudely called me asking me where I was ! (they were launching a new brand Bellami hair, so I figured if department stores pre-pay for $15 dollar lipsticks and eyeshadows why not for a $300. box of hair!!! But that would be good business sense!) All three said "Oh no we will have them here, we are getting a bunch in." I asked again well I made an app. so can I have you just hold some for me? Or make a note? They again said "don't worry hun, they will be here!" *Got to my app, waited 49 min, while I was waiting talked to the receptionist, and they had on 1 box of the Bugatti's left. NOT IN MY COLOR! they were to light, but she said the stylist could put a toner on to match my color. I said ok, that's fine. They were very apologetic and finally got into the chair and she said, you are going to have to make another app so I can dye these and cut them, I do not have time today. OMG!!!!!! lol long story short I came back a 5 pm waited ANOTHER 20 min and finally clipped the damn things in my head and cut them, no wash no styling! went to pay and they CHARGED ME FOR THE DYING AND DRYING OF THE EXTENTIONS $150. I cannot recommend this place enough! I've wanted extensions for SO long b/c I have incredibly fine, thin hair. I have gotten so many compliments and what people say the most is "it looks so natural!". Which is true! The atmosphere in the salon and everyone that works there make it a comfortable and inviting experience (I even enjoyed a glass of wine while I was getting my extensions).
