They were so helpful and really nice to meet. It's a really upscale experience but you don't have to spend a lot. They keep your goggles and lotion for you and you get a refreshing towel to wipe the tanning smell off. I'm looking forward to using the spray tan soon without all the triple bronzer, boost nonsense. Lux is not even a minute away from where I work so that was my first reason for wanting to check this place out. I had also received a complimentary session so that I can try their services out. Leon was the employee who gave me a tour of the facilities and equipment and really made me feel comfortable and not pressured into a sale. I loved the beds and the interior design. The package prices were high but not crazy. I loved that it seemed like a classy establishment compared to some other big name tanning salons I had been a member of in the past run by high school girls who were on the verge of looking like oompa loompas. I love this place! They are so nice the owner is wonderful! They offer complimentary water or champagne. I have tanned at other tanning salons and they always feel dirty. Not here! I came in with a free spray tan, yes they tried to up sell me (hello that's how businesses stay in business people so get over it!) but I told them no that I just wanted the spray tan. They backed off and were still very polite accommodating to me even tho I only bought a small packet of tan extender. Wish I still lived/ worked closer to them! Love them!! Loved this place! as soon as I walked in Thomas was very helpful and so sweet! I came in for a spray tan, with that you get a prep spray, the actual tanning spray, and you have the option for extra bronzing on your legs, then a great moisturizing spray for the last part. All of that for a single session was just $45 which is freaking awesome! if you're over 21 you can treat yourself to a complimentary glass of champagne, so yum! This is literally THE best tanning spa I have been to! Everyone is so nice and welcoming. I look forward to the glass of champagne and cold eucalyptus towel as well as the outstanding service here. The pricing is a little more than the average tanning salon but well worth it! The place is so clean and well kept and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else! I got a spray tan the first time I came here and it turned out so beautiful and natural looking. I accidentally blotted my hands and arms with a towel (MY BAD) so I came back the next morning and they took the time to make it look the way I wanted! I've never used a tanning bed before, so naturally I was pretty skeptical and unsure about the price. But you truly do get what you pay for-top of the line customer service and treatment. Thomas was phenomenal, gave me a tour and made to explain how all the beds work as well as how to build up my tan and have be long lasting. My wife and I started coming here to get pre-tanned for our wedding celebration in Puerto Rico. This facility is very nice, state of the art, clean and the guys and gals working there are very helpful. We were introduced to the different beds by Tyler Boyce, he is very friendly and knows a lot about the technology they have available. Their website advertises one free complimentary session, and a friend of mine and I had a formal coming up and figured we'd try a free spray tan to see if we liked the place. It looks very nice inside, we walked in and told her we were there for a complimentary session. She told us that instead of the $45 spray tan, we could split six for only $100. Very good deal, but again, I wasn't looking to spend any money there that day I just wanted to try it out. I mentioned what the website says for first time guests and she said in the "fine print" on the website it says that's only for a bed tanning session. Bull. I've searched and searched the website and can't find the "fine print" anywhere. This is just a ploy to put you in an awkward position so they bring new people into the store to sell more, don't fall for it. As I was waiting for my friend to finish her tan in the front waiting area (because she went ahead and bought the tan), a guy tried to bully me into buying one. That definitely makes me uninterested! My friend also told me that something happened to her booth and when that same guy came in there to fix it, he told her "that's what happens when you only buy one session," and said the F-word! I found it extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. The place is very nice, but I'm not going here again due to the extreme sales "strategies." Be wary, and don't let anyone pressure you into buying things you don't want to buy. read more

I live in Bedford and drove to lux for the complimentary tan. I was a little nervous because usually when you go into a tanning salon the people are very rude and judge-mental. I instantly felt at ease when Thomas greeted my best friend and I. The customer service was absolutely above and beyond to make the guest feel want and as if we were already friends! Tyler was so nice to keep my friend company as she waited for me to tan after she was unable to. I definitely recommend this place to anyone! My first visit to LUX was for a spray tan the night before a wedding so I wanted it to be perfect. I was immediately greeted and welcomed in by Raymond and Tyler, who proved to be extremely knowledgable and helpful throughout my entire visit. There Versapro was fabulous and included options for a pre-spray tan enhancer, a post moisturizing setting spray and even allowed me to have my legs sprayed twice. The guys offered exceptional service and LUX offers top of the line services, plus you have the option to sip on champagne while you wait.. Who doesn't love champagne? I had my second spray tan at LUX today. The salon is very nice and the machines seem new & modern; however today was a different experience that could have been awful but turned out fine. Somehow my spray tan machine sprayed my legs twice and never did my top half! I was going to have dark legs & white torso! I don't know if it was my human error or a machine malfunction, but I went to Tyler Boyce at the front desk for help. We discussed my options. I was worried to get in the machine again and have a full body spray tan, making my legs super dark & my top the color I originally wanted. Tyler came up with the idea to wrap a towel around my legs and do a full body tan, so my top would get color but my legs wouldn't. Problem solved! Plus, he gave me a spray tan credit and a bottle of lotion for my trouble. Problems happen to everyone (it's inevitable) but the way they are solved is what matters. Thanks Tyler! read more

Lux is simply different. If you prefer great customer service, actually people that care to educate and inform you of the tanning process and best/safe options, then Lux spa on Lemmon is the place for you. I originally went just because of the online site. It's impressive. But it pales in comparison to the actual experience. Both Thomas and Evan we super (I've been several time), made me feel comfortable and actually excited that I signed up. As a pale gal with freckles, living in Dallas, I was looking for someplace to work on getting a good base coat, so I don't have a miserable summer of burns and I have found it! Tyler was awesome, took the time to show me around and EXPLAIN the beds so I knew what was what... soooo helpful! explained I didn't want to be Orange, and he showed me lotions without bronzer in them. As far as beds and cleanliness, the place is spotless and the beds are so roomy, not like at many other places where you end up with that white line down the side of your body from the opening, if you forget to adjust your leg position. Tyler suggested the Angel bed for the first time. A bit nervous that I was spending 15 minutes in this bed, (and Tyler promising I would not come out fried), I went for it. I can honestly say it was amazing and I am not fried, it left a hint of color on me, but it adjusts to your skin tone as it works so it doesn't burn you. He even gave me advice for which bed to use next and for how long I should go in for, to avoid burning. I found them on a whim via Google, and am so pleased I stopped in. I think this is the start of a beautiful, color building, friendship! Oh yeah, and there are three different membership tiers for monthly pricing, which is also nice. The highest level also includes sunless tanning if that is something you are interested in. All packages include unlimited visits per month (within the legal guidelines).
