I had a radio, subwoofer, and speakers installed in my bass boat last summer. I was told they would install the subwoofer in one area of the boat but later they decided to move the install inside a storage compartment of the boat, located at the bottom of the hull. After the install, I took the boat out for a quick trip only to find the damage done during the install that compromised the use of the boat due to water coming inside the crack the caused during the installation. After taking the boat up to the shop and talking to the actual worker that did the installation and seeing holes drilled in the floor, but moved to an opposite side of the compartment, no accountability for the damage was admitted. The tech/worker even said he initially was going to install on the side where the drill holes are noticeable but moved the subwoofer to the other side of the compartment when he saw the foundation (stringers) were actually located on the other side of the compartment. When I got quotes from boat repair companies that do gelcoat and hull damage work, they all confirmed that the damage was caused from inside the boat. Now I'm paying $2,500 to repair the damage out of pocket, just to be able to use the boat due to an audio installation service that was a desire instead of a necessity. If you do get any work done here, make sure you take many pictures and videos before and after, and examine all areas of your vehicle/pleasure crafts and do so while they're present to avoid the problem I'm now faced with!
