I ordered directly from their site flowers to be delivered on the same day. My friend was kind enough to thank me with a picture of the gift I sent. I was extremely disappointed to see another arrangement. I promptly called the florist to ask for their email address so that I could send them a picture of what was received and one of what I ordered -- instead the lady wanted to help me over the phone. She proceeded to tell me that she would send another "simple" arrangement tomorrow. I asked her why, if the arrangement was so simple would a different "grocery store quality" arrangement be sent in its place ~ she had such a dismissive attitude that I only have regret for spending my hard earned money with them. Update: today they delivered the ordered flowers as I was told yesterday. The delivery person asked for the flowers that were delivered yesterday. My friend was taken back of course -- classless and unprofessional. This florist blows. read more

This place was most excellent. I called at 10:00 on a Sunday and the owner told me that she could have the arrangement ready by 12:30 if I could be there then. When I got to the store, I saw a sign that said, "Closed Sundays". She'd come to the store just for me. I was flabbergasted. The arrangement she made was perfect (and she did it based on my clumsy description of what I wanted it for, a housewarming) and extremely reasonable. I wish more people ran their business like this. I HIGHLY recommend this store to anyone looking for flowers. I know I'll be going there the next time that I need some. read more

I decided to throw my parents a 30th anniversary party at their home in Northbrook. Remembered that I needed flowers last minute and did not have a go to florist in the suburbs. I did a quick google search and found Glenview Florist's website. It was clear with lots of examples and easy to navigate. I made a purchase of a beautiful spring flower vase arrangement that was bright and colorful. Checkout info was very simple and quick. Last minute prior to the scheduled delivery, I decided the party needed more sprucing and wanted another arrangement as well. I decided to call the florist and see if they could put something together and deliver together with the other arrangement. I spoke with Jay the owner who was incredibly helpful and friendly. He asked for my price range and if there were any particular flowers I wanted to include in the arrangement. I told him I wanted a larger, more moody/emotional arrangement than the bright spring one I had already ordered. Jay assured me that he'd put something beautiful together and send along with the other arrangement. Both flower pieces arrived within the time I had requested for delivery and they were even better than I had pictured in my mind or on the website! My parents and their friends all commented on how beautiful they were and asked for referrals. The flowers were the biggest crowd pleaser and they created such a nice environment for the party! Since then, Glenview Florist has been my go to florist for all my flower needs. Jay and his wife are so lovely, thoughtful and creative that the recipients and I are always very pleased. They take the time to make sure that the flowers are always fresh and beautiful as possible. They now have me in their system that I quickly call them, let them know my price point and an idea of what I want and they deliver beautiful flowers over and over again. My mom loves having flowers consistently in her home, and I even set up a weekly flower delivery service with Jay for her to receive new arrangements weekly. I love this florist and will not go to anyone else! Valentine's day is coming up and I have lots of flowers to send and having this place makes my life so much easier! read more

I ordered a dozen roses from Glenview Florist Flower Shop to mark my 40th wedding anniversary. They were to be delivered on a particular day in the afternoon. Not only were they delivered at the right time on the right day, but they were gorgeous. And not only were they gorgeous when delivered, but they opened up, bloomed for days, and are still blooming right now -- after a week. I don't have a good history with roses. Rarely do they open. Mostly they die. Not these. I couldn't be more pleased. Thank you, Glenview Florist! You'll be getting my business again. read more

I am very happy with Glenview Florist! I live in Florida and found this florist through Google because it was close to my daughter's house... I took a chance ordering flowers for my daughter at Christmas and I was very pleased with their work so when my daughter had her baby this weekend I used Glenview Florist again. I ordered the wagon flower arrangement but received an email saying it was out of stock but that he would make sure it was nice. And he did, he sent over a baby carriage music box floral arrangement! I ordered a birthday arrangement of flowers on 4/23 for delivery on 4/24 (the birthday). The arrangement was being delivered to a hospital employee at work. I chose this florist because it is located within a mile of the hospital. At 1:25 I learned the flowers had not been delivered. I called the florist and asked when they would be delivered and he said they were picked up for delivery at 12:30 and would be delivered around 3PM. I will not be surprised if it is later than that, nor will I be surprised if it is not the arrangement I ordered. I said I wished he had told me when I placed the order that they would not be delivered until late afternoon. His reply was that I should have asked for morning delivery and that it was a busy day because it is Secretary's day. Next time I will use my neighborhood florist, Silk Paradise, which is located 40 minutes away from the hospital in Hoffman Estates. I did not use them because of the distance involved. If i could give them 12 stars i would! These guys went completely out of their way for us. It was 5PM local time today and we had just gotten word that a family member had successfully gotten out of surgery and was cancer free. I was elated and wanted to express my well wishes but every florist in the area wouldn't even hear about my "same day delivery need" except for Glenview Florist. I called them and explained what the situation was. We didn't even know what room they were going to be in yet and I was afraid that the delivery would have to wait until morning. About 40 minutes after I got off the phone with them, telling them to wait until the next day, I got a call from the owner (20 minutes past closing time) saying that HE had called the hospital, found out the room number and was going to be delivering a gorgeous bouquet. I have dealt with a lot of florists and have heard a lot of excuses - these guys went above and beyond for someone they didn't even know. I can't thank them enough for their hard work and late delivery! thank you! read more

I got home at 5:30 pm to find delivered flowers laying sideways on our porch. After calling the florist, I found out that they were delivered at 12:30 pm, so the flowers were blown over, all the water spilled out of the vase, and they sat in the 84 degree heat all afternoon on the porch.
