Edwards Florist - Florists Near Me - Northbrook, Illinois

I had a last-minute need for flowers to be sent, and Edwards was able to fill my order with just 24 hours' notice. The online ordering was easy, and I ordered the Designer's Choice, which essentially allows them to create a gift with the available flowers on hand. This can be a gamble, but I also wanted to be realistic since I was asking for help in a very short time frame. The arrangement arrived as hoped, and I think it is beautiful! There is an obvious designer's good eye in the finished product, and I was pleased with my purchase. The other part of this order I appreciated was the communication. I ordered easily online, got an acknowledgement for the order, and then also a notice (can't remember if it was email or text) letting me know when the delivery was made. I was very pleased with this service and will remember Edwards for my future floral needs. read more

Incredible customer service and beautiful custom flower arrangements. Could not recommend any florist more.

Wow! I like all the decorations and arrangements, I like that they can prepare an arrangement rather quickly, and the staff are polite. As if that's not enough, you can tell that some true TLC is being put towards taking care of the flowers well - the bouquet they put together for me was nothing short of impressive. It's the good kind of Florist - give them a price or a price range, and they will meet it, while making it look nice. Word to the wise though, you're not going to get a real beautiful bouquet for probably under $40. If you're near Northbrook and want flowers, great additions to your garden, or some ceramics, this would definitely be on the list of places to consider. read more

Edwards provided table centerpieces for our daughter's bat mitzvah party. With just the colors and the theme, they put together the most gorgeous arrangements at a very reasonable price. It's 3 days later, and we still have a few centerpieces at home, looking as fresh as they did for the party. Highly recommend and would use them again! read more

Edwards created the most beautiful floral arrangements for my son's wedding. The bride and groom had a specific color scheme, and the flower arrangements reflected that perfectly. read more

As a former employee of Edwards, I can say from experience that the staff goes above and beyond expectations for clients. It's clear to see that the quality of the flowers is a top priority. This reflects the price, which is why most arrangements start at $50. But you can't get the kind of flowers at a grocery store like you can get at Edwards Florist. Even something simple, like a wrist corsage or boutonniere, has such care put into it as well. Elaine (an exquisite floral designer) did the flowers for my sister's wedding in 2012 and my wedding in 2014. (See photos) The delivery and setup were done quickly and carefully. The only thing I wish they noticed was that the men's boutonnieres were all put on the wrong side of the lapel! Oops.... I didn't realize it until the photos came back from the photographer. I wouldn't have gone anywhere else! Thank you all for making our wedding days special and full of color with such gorgeous flowers. read more

Best designers in the area. You can see the love they put into their craft with the arrangements that just say, "wow!" every time. This is a no-brainer for me, because I usually get disappointed with online orders based on a catalog display, which hardly ever resembles what the recipient actually gets. I like the approach of - if you stock the freshest, in-season, product - then the creative genius of the designer is the most important ingredient in a floral arrangement. Edwards' designers are simply the best in the North Shore area. read more

I've been ordering from Edwards for approximately 20+ years and have never been disappointed, they are the Best of the Best and wouldn't ever know where to go if they Closed So case in point let's keep them in business and order from only the Best for that Special someone!!! read more

Lovely flowers delivered within a few hours. The tulips are multi colored, very pretty.

I think closing at 5pm is very inconvenient for customers, considering many people work different hours & such. I also factor in that this is a "downtown" shop which is by the train station, restaurants, bars, & ice cream shops - meaning that all of these places would allow those inclined to purchase some flowers after getting off the train, perhaps before going to eat a nice dinner, etc., etc. I also think the prices are high compared to other florists that offer better quality arrangements. I opened the door to the most stunning bouquet of beautifully vibrant flowers! My first gift from Edwards Floral Boutique! I was indeed overwhelmed by the design knowledge that came from the skilled staff! Not only were the flowers fresh as though they were just picked from a well cared for garden, but the palate of colors gracefully flowed from one to another. Like the notes in a 'Strauss' waltz!! The waxy foliage carefully placed between the correct flowers gave balance to the entire arrangement! I feel very grateful that my special lifelong friend took a long time making the 'right' choice in her very thoughtful gift! I was moved to tears! Edwards Floral Boutique is my 'go to' floral choice for all occasions! Many thanks to my friend and the design staff for bringing 'joy' into my home. With the enclosed care instructions, I know I will have many days of visual beauty in the form of an elegant bouquet! My heartfelt thanks from a very appreciative woman! Merci beaucoup! S. They were so helpful and went out of their way to get the flowers delivered timely, even on short notice. Today I called Edwards and asked if they could make a delivery. Because Easter is coming up I was told they were quite busy and would get back to me in five minutes (she wanted to take an inventory of fresh flowers) I was called back, given ideas and just asked them to do what they wanted. Wow !!! The flowers were delivered, beautiful beyond belief and I will continue to use them for every occasion in the future. My wife was so impressed that she sent me a picture. This review is for their online/web-based ordering. I ordered some flowers for my mother-in-law as a surprise 'thank you' on a Thursday and was convinced to use a local florist by my wife. I requested delivery for any time the next day (Friday). The flowers never arrived - I called my mother-in-law Friday evening to check - and hence ruined the surprise. I called Edwards Florist office - no-one answered. I called back and left a detailed message quoting the order number, asking for an explanation as to why the flowers were not delivered, and for a call back. The flowers were eventually delivered the next day around midday, but I never heard back from Edwards Florist. Very poor customer service - I would have expected at the very least a phone call apology when spending ~ $100 on flowers. IMHO one of the key things about ordering flowers is that they are delivered on the day you state in the order - can you imagine if birthday, wedding or Valentines Day flowers were delivered the next day? Especially as I made sure my mother-in-law was going to be home on the delivery date I specified as the Chicago winter is not so friendly to fresh flowers being left outside. Sorry - completely unacceptable.... As for the flowers - they were nice, hence 2 stars instead of 1 star. Will not be using again. Period. read more

Despite being a customer for several years, I regretfully will be taking my business elsewhere. Decided to give Edwards a try after finding them on Yelp and saw the great reviews. We needed a corsage for our 18-year old son taking a date to a formal event. Of course you can't count on an 18-year old to think of the corsage...So at the last minute, desperate to find a florist to make one 'NOW' I was just relieved that Edwards could do it for us! My usual florist could not do the job for us on such short notice. I walked in w/ my 6-year old son and we were greeted warmly by two very sweet women. They were friendly to me and very kind to my son and made him feel welcome. The corsage is beautiful too! They didn't have flowers in the date's favorite color (purple) but did make it w/ white sweetheart roses and beautiful, delicate purple accent flowers. It's accented with a shimmery purple ribbon and they finished it by wrapping the box in another beautiful deep purple ribbon. Just perfect and exceeded my expectations. Held off on the 5th star until I try them next time on a larger arrangement. But will be back... Thanks Yelpers for keeping the site real! read more

I live in Washington state and was asked by my employer to find a local florist in Northbrook, IL to send her client an elegant birthday floral arrangement same day. I ordered online, made a mistake and accidentally selected next day delivery...oops! When I called to see if there was any way to fix this error (and I might add that I probably sounded like a neurotic wreck), Ruth was so kind and reassuring and took care of it for me. My employer is happy, her client loved the arrangement, and I am so appreciative to have been accommodated so well. read more

Was recommended to come here from a friend. beautiful flowers, great customer service, very friendly. i like that it's a small business.

Had expected some improvement from a review in 2011 from Rob, but apparently, things haven't changed much or perhaps if you are not "local", this florist doesn't seem to care when they deliver the flowers. I ordered the flowers online from out of state, and specified the date the flowers were to be delivered. It was very clear In my order confirmation the delivery date. I was surprised when I received a text from my friend the day before her birthday with a picture of the flowers for her birthday. They delivered them 1 day before her birthday. The flowers were nice enough worthy of 3 stars but the service/attention to detail is poor. Save yourself from the frustration of having flowers delivered on the wrong day and use a highly reputable florist, not this place. read more

Flowers were ordered and the florist was given an address and telephone number, altho the phone number that was provided was a cell phone and not answered until after the final delivery of the day. When I returned the call the following day and left 2 messages with directions about what to do with the delivery, there was no response from Edwards, altho I called both the business and cell phone number that was provided. Two days later, I then personally called their place of business about pick-up. This order was for a Christmas arrangement, which also could be used for New Years. I received an all yellow/cream arrangement that was obviously made up with left-over flowers. It would look good on a Spring luncheon table, or for a wedding arrangement. Very poor service, to say the least! read more

Staff are friendly. It is always a pleasure to walk in and find the cutest gifts (even if they're not floral! Edwards has some really great tchotchkes!). Definitely worth it. read more

I personally never liked flowers but when my wedding planning came I had to find the right florist to assist in my big day. The staff at Edward's was amazing to work with as they made recommendations based my needs and wants and not just on price. I mean can you imagine working with the a non-flower lover ha! Sent an arrangement from Edward's Florist of Northbrook recently to a client. The client was thrilled, saying it was one of the most beautiful arrangements she'd ever received. It wasn't enormous or extravagant, but beautifully designed and simply elegant. This is not the fist time I've ordered flowers for business through Edward's and it won't be the last. I called today asking for Hyacinths. The lady that picked up didn't know if they even had some. She put me in hold to go ask the designer. When she got back she said she may have a few left and asked me what I wanted to do with them. I explained I wasn't sure and how much they cost. She said since I wasn't sure she would rather use them up for display and they weren't on sale anymore and hung up. I guess I shouldn't expect any less from NorthShore customer service. Snotty and no help. I tried Costco. I just went through the general office number and asked. The lady checked their computers and it said she had some but said she wanted to double check the floor and offered to call me back. She did call me back and she said they had them on the floor. When I got there I wasn't sure which ones they were and the associate I asked was the same person I called. She helped me out. Thanks Costco. read more
